Cusped and Smooth Solitons for the Generalized Camassa-Holm Equation on the Nonzero Constant Pedestal
We investigate the traveling solitary wave solutions of the generalized Camassa-Holm equation ut - uxxt + 3u2ux=2uxuxx + uuxxx on the nonzero constant pedestal limξ→±∞uξ=A. Our procedure shows that the generalized Camassa-Holm equation with nonzero constant boundary has cusped and smooth soliton solutions. Mathematical analysis and numerical simulations are provided for these traveling soliton solutions of the generalized Camassa-Holm equation. Some exact explicit solutions are obtained. We show some graphs to explain our these solutions
A Sensor Network Data Compression Algorithm Based on Suboptimal Clustering and Virtual Landmark Routing Within Clusters
A kind of data compression algorithm for sensor networks based on suboptimal clustering and virtual landmark routing within clusters is proposed in this paper. Firstly, temporal redundancy existing in data obtained by the same node in sequential instants can be eliminated. Then sensor networks nodes will be clustered. Virtual node landmarks in clusters can be established based on cluster heads. Routing in clusters can be realized by combining a greedy algorithm and a flooding algorithm. Thirdly, a global structure tree based on cluster heads will be established. During the course of data transmissions from nodes to cluster heads and from cluster heads to sink, the spatial redundancy existing in the data will be eliminated. Only part of the raw data needs to be transmitted from nodes to sink, and all raw data can be recovered in the sink based on a compression code and part of the raw data. Consequently, node energy can be saved, largely because transmission of redundant data can be avoided. As a result the overall performance of the sensor network can obviously be improved
The GUA-Speech System Description for CNVSRC Challenge 2023
This study describes our system for Task 1 Single-speaker Visual Speech
Recognition (VSR) fixed track in the Chinese Continuous Visual Speech
Recognition Challenge (CNVSRC) 2023. Specifically, we use intermediate
connectionist temporal classification (Inter CTC) residual modules to relax the
conditional independence assumption of CTC in our model. Then we use a
bi-transformer decoder to enable the model to capture both past and future
contextual information. In addition, we use Chinese characters as the modeling
units to improve the recognition accuracy of our model. Finally, we use a
recurrent neural network language model (RNNLM) for shallow fusion in the
inference stage. Experiments show that our system achieves a character error
rate (CER) of 38.09% on the Eval set which reaches a relative CER reduction of
21.63% over the official baseline, and obtains a second place in the challenge.Comment: CNVSRC 2023 Challeng
AIF Downregulation and Its Interaction with STK3 in Renal Cell Carcinoma
Apoptosis-inducing factor (AIF) plays a crucial role in caspase-independent programmed cell death by triggering chromatin condensation and DNA fragmentation. Therefore, it might be involved in cell homeostasis and tumor development. In this study, we report significant AIF downregulation in the majority of renal cell carcinomas (RCC). In a group of RCC specimens, 84% (43 out of 51) had AIF downregulation by immunohistochemistry stain. Additional 10 kidney tumors, including an oxyphilic adenoma, also had significant AIF downregulation by Northern blot analysis. The mechanisms of the AIF downregulation included both AIF deletion and its promoter methylation. Forced expression of AIF in RCC cell lines induced massive apoptosis. Further analysis revealed that AIF interacted with STK3, a known regulator of apoptosis, and enhanced its phosphorylation at Thr180. These results suggest that AIF downregulation is a common event in kidney tumor development. AIF loss may lead to decreased STK3 activity, defective apoptosis and malignant transformation
Towards diluted magnetism in TaAs
Magnetism in Weyl semimetals is desired to investigate the interaction
between the magnetic moments and Weyl fermions, e.g. to explore anomalous
quantum Hall phenomena. Here we demonstrate that proton irradiation is an
effective tool to induce ferromagnetism in the Weyl semimetal TaAs. The
intrinsic magnetism is observed with a transition temperature above room
temperature. The magnetic moments from d states are found to be localized
around Ta atoms. Further, the first-principles calculations indicate that the d
states localized on the nearest-neighbor Ta atoms of As vacancy sites are
responsible for the observed magnetic moments and the long-ranged magnetic
order. The results show the feasibility of inducing ferromagnetism in Weyl
semimetals so that they may facilitate the applications of this material in
spintronics.Comment: 20 pages, 6 figure
Numerical simulation of cross-hole deburring by abrasive flow in a three-way hole
The SST k-ω method is used to numerically simulate the effect of the inlet pressure and processing method on the machining of a three-way hole, revealing the effect of dynamic pressure and wall shear on the machining of the grain flow with different processing parameters. The simulation results show that increasing the inlet pressure and choosing a suitable processing method can improve the processing effect of abrasive flow processing
On Curie temperature of B20-MnSi films
B20-type MnSi is the prototype magnetic skyrmion material. Thin films of MnSi
show a higher Curie temperature than their bulk counterpart. However, it is not
yet clear what mechanism leads to the increase of the Curie temperature. In
this work, we grow MnSi films on Si(100) and Si(111) substrates with a broad
variation in their structures. By controlling the Mn thickness and annealing
parameters, the pure MnSi phase of polycrystalline and textured nature as well
as the mixed phase of MnSi and MnSi1.7 are obtained. Surprisingly, all these
MnSi films show an increased Curie temperature of up to around 43 K. The Curie
temperature is likely independent of the structural parameters within our
accessibility including the film thickness above a threshold, strain, cell
volume and the mixture with MnSi1.7. However, a pronounced phonon softening is
observed for all samples, which can tentatively be attributed to slight Mn
excess from stoichiometry, leading to the increased Curie temperature.Comment: 20 pages, 6 figure
