Increasing rate of plant germplasm lost inIndonesia has promoted the implementation of variousmethods for their conservation. Cryopreservation is a techniqueapplicable for a long-term preservation (base collection)of plants possessing non-orthodox (recalcitrant andsemi-recalcitrant) seeds and those propagated vegetatively. The technique can be used as an alternative method fororthodox seed plants preservation in the ex situ conservationsystem. Although field and in vitro collection methods canbe applied for the non-orthodox seed plants, a number ofdisadvantages possesed by these methods, especially in thetropics or the developing countries, deny their use for theestablishment of a long-term germplasm collection. Successfulimplementation of the cryopreservation technique issupported by the development of protocols, which are ableto provide a high recovery rate for species understudy, usingvitrification based methods which are simple, economical, applicable to complex organs, and able to implement a highnumber of explants per experiment. The availability of infrastructuresincluding in vitro culture laboratories, continuesupply of liquid nitrogen is highly supporting the use ofcryopreservation technique in Indonesia

Research is a type of descriptive research, which describes the characteristics of a population or a phenomenon that is the object of research. The population in this study were undergraduate students in the Accounting study program, Faculty of Economics and Business, Pattimura University, Ambon. The author took samples using the purposive sampling method. The number of samples in this study was 400 respondents. Students who are still active are categorized, namely students from the 2019 and 2020 classes. The reason the researcher decided to take samples from students from the 2019 and 2020 classes was because these students had taken and were currently taking courses in Accounting Information Systems 1, Accounting Information Systems 2, Auditing 1 and Auditing 2, and because these students already knew about the fraud triangle theory, in where currently a new theory has developed, namely the fraud diamond theory. The data used in this research was collected via an online questionnaire. Researchers used multiple linear regression analysis and Moderated Regression Analysis (MRA) as data analysis techniques. The statistical tool used by the author in this research is SPSS 17. The results of this research show the influence of the variables in the fraud diamond on academic cheating and the influence of the learning motivation variable in moderating the variables in the fraud diamond on academic cheating, with data obtained from 206 respondents. 1) Pressure has a significant effect on academic cheating, while opportunity, rationalization and ability have no significant effect on academic cheating, 2) learning motivation can significantly moderate pressure and opportunity on academic cheating, while rationalization and ability cannot be significantly moderated by learning motivation on academic cheatin

Influence of alternating temperature preculture on cryopreservation results for potato shoot tips

Cryopreservation is the most suitable long-term storage method for genetic resources of vegetatively maintained crops like potato. In the Leibniz Institute of Plant Genetics and Crop Plant Research (IPK) the DMSO droplet method is applied, and so far more than 1000 accessions are cryopreserved with an average regeneration rate of 58%. New experiments with four potato accessions using alternating temperatures (22/8°C day/night temperature, 8 h photoperiod, 7 d) prior to cryopreservation showed improved regeneration. The influence of this preculture on the shoot tips was studied for two wild, frost resistant species Solanum acaule and S. demissum and for two cultivated, frost sensitive potatoes S. tuberosum ‘Désirée’ and ‘King Edward’. Comparison of liquid and solid media after cryopreservation showed improved regeneration on solid media with higher regeneration percentages, less callus formation and better plantlet structure. In comparative analyses biochemical factors like soluble sugars, starch, and amino acid concentrations were measured. Shoot tips after constant and after alternating temperature preculture were analyzed. Total concentrations of soluble sugars (glucose, fructose, and sucrose) were higher for all accessions after the alternating temperature preculture, which could be the reason for improved cryopreservation results

ABSTRACT Leunufna, Abraham. 2010. Increment Student Ability in Talking by ASSURE Model in Class IV SDN Beji IV Kecamatan Beji Kabupaten Pasuruan, Skripsi, Graduate Program S1 PGSD Departement of Elementary Education and Pre School, Faculty of Education, State University of Malang. Advisors: (1). Drs. H. Rumidjan, M.Pd, (2). Drs. A. Badawi, M.Pd Key Words: Increment Ability, Talking, ASSURE Model, SD School as education centre that make human personality in think, act, and do have purposes make quality of  human . With Indonesian Language in Elementary School (SD) certain will increment student ability in talking and make good communication with other people. To increment student ability in talking, the suitable model is better alternative so a student can show all tallents and powers in itself, because student often silent and shy when ask to talk in front of class or crowds, and also student often to pronounce alphabet and sentences with unclear, expressing is not attractive, and bad intonation. Therefore the purposes of this research is to increment student ability in talking by ASSURE model in class IV SDN Beji IV Kecamatan Beji Kabupaten Pasuruan. The design of this research by using qualitative approach, kind of Classroom Action Research (CAR). Subjects of research is students class IV SDN Beji IV Kecamatan Beji Kabupaten Pasuruan they are 18 students. Technique to collect the data by using tests, observe, and documentation since learning process. This research is do in two cycle by planning step, action, observe, and reflexion.           To planing step of learn is doing by before reflexion, and then to do with design learn at cycle I and II according to APKG I and  design learns by ASSURE model that is: analize learners, state objectives, select methods, media, dan materials, utilize materials, require learners partisipation, evaluate and revise.           To do research In two cycle. For cycle I ware done at date 1-2 june 2010 begin at 07.00-09.00 o’clock and cycle II at date 1-2 june 2010 begin 07.00-09.00 o’clock. To learn act every cycle is doing according steps in design of learn (RPP). In learn act student the first can’t to talking be can there is student be more brave show on in all audience, the self confidence be Increment, pronounce be atractive, and ability to know the texts is betters. With the ability have by student, hope their can aplicate its in society and the state, and so as gift in life. The learn act with used ASSURE model can give message for student, there is student be more hard to learn, and student have fell the lesson be interest and attractive.           The average value student of result learn as classical that is 62,65% and only 6 student who success to finished result learn, while at cycle II  increment be 80.70% for the average value student as classical, while 16 students success to finished result learn, and 2 students punish is not to finish the result learn, there are value it is find ≤70. From the result of Two students no focus at learning activity, look lazy, and don’t concentrate in learn. But result who their need there are in enough category, so can to say that by using ASSURE model can to increment student ability in talking in class IV SDN Beji IV Kecamatan Beji Kabupaten Pasuruan. Therefore the suggestion for teachers and members of school for use ASSURE model to increment student ability in elementary school (SD).

Ensuring food security in the small islands of Maluku: a community genebank approach

    No full text
As a province composed of hundreds of small islands, Maluku is highly susceptible to decreasing biodiversity of plant resources for agriculture. Pressures from pests and disease infestations, difficulty of seed storage, market demands for specific cultivars, and the introduction of new superior varieties are decreasing crop and plant genetic diversity and will impact the food security in the islands. The establishment of community genebanks is proposed to ensure the continuing existence of plant genetic resources and thus the food security of the islands of Maluku Province. The development of facilities and training of personnel to support the survey, collection, and conservation of materials is required, in part to facilitate their cycling of the crop/plant materials to farmers in need. Also required is the study of role and the problems faced by farmers in order to propose supports for bio-diversity that maybe sociological as well as technological

This study was conducted with the aim of providing the latest situation on banana genotypic diversity present in the market places, their cultivations, their market chain and trading facilities in Maluku Province, Indonesia. A survey method was used, in which different markets, farmers and government institutions were visited and interviewed. Seventeen genotypes of three different species and different genome and ploidy levels were found at the market places with two highly demanded genotypes, Pisang Raja Hitam and Pisang 40 Hari. The major suppliers of banana commodities in Ambon markets were Ceram, Ambon, Buru, Obi and Bacan Islands. Lack of knowledge in implementing proper cultural practices, lack of capital, lack of aid provided by government and several other obstacles have been the reasons for low banana production in Maluku Province. Lack of sufficient infra-structure for large scale cultivations, storage and transport, and the use of harmful chemicals in post-harvest handling were some of the factors potentially hindering international trading of banana products. However, there were development plans by the government, which possibly improve banana export situation in the future. As an initial study in terms of value chain analysis in the province, the study should be a reference for further studies of such
