    The research aims to investigate the effectiveness of English basic conversation for hotel staff training on the self-efficacy of hotel employees in Palembang. The background of this research is that the city of Palembang will be hosting international events such as ASIAN GAMES 2018, and the readiness of the people of Palembang in facing the MEA especially in the hotel business. Individual factors that influence self-efficacy are job involvement, organizational commitment and work environment. The data collection of this study used questionnaire method and sampling technique, that is, purposive sampling method. The selection of the intended sample is conducted because the researcher understands that the required information can be obtained from a particular group that is able to provide the desired information because they do have such information and they meet the criteria determined by the researcher. The method of analysis in this study used simple linear regression by performing the classical assumption test as a condition in performing regression test. The result of the research demonstrates that the training of English basic conversation for hotel staff has a positive and significant influence on the self-efficacy of star hotel employees in Palembang

    TURNOVER INTENTION SEBAGAI DAMPAK KOMPENSASI DAN JOB INSECURITY KARYAWAN BANK SWASTA KONVENSIONAL DI PALEMBANG

    The purpose of this research is to investigate the influence of compensation and job insecurity on the intention turnover of banking employees in Palembang. This study employs independent variable compensation (X1) and Job Insecurity (X2), as well as Turnover Intention (Y). The data collection in this study employed a questionnaire method that was distributed to 125 banking employees in the city of Palembang by using a purposive sampling method. Furthermore, the data was analyzed by using SPSS 19.0 for Windows. Free compensation variable (X1) and Job Insecurity (X2) partially and simultaneously have a positive and significant effect on the dependent variable Turnover Intention (Y). This shows that the greater the compensation given will reduce the desire of employees to leave the organization. Likewise with Job Insecurity, the higher the job insecurity, the higher the intensity (intention / desire) to get out of work.Penelitian ini mencoba mengetahui dampak kompensasi dan job insecurity terhadap turnover intetion karyawan perbankan di kota Palembang. Penelitian ini menggunakan variabel independen kompensasi (X1) dan Job Insecurity (X2), serta Turnover Intention (Y). Pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuesioner yang disebarkepada 125 orang karyawan perbankan di kota Palembang dengan metode purposive sampling. Sedangkan analisis dilakukan dengan pengolahan data menggunakan SPSS 19.0 for windows.Variabel bebas kompensasi (X1) dan Job Insecurity (X2) secara parsial dan simultan berpengaruh  positif dan signifikan terhadap variabel terikat  Turnover Intention (Y). hal ini menunjukan bahwa semakin besar kompensasi yang diberikan maka akan dapat mengurangi keinginan karyawan untuk meninggalkan organisasi. Begitu juga dengan Job Insecurity, semakin tinggi job insecurity,maka akan semakin tinggi intense (niat / keinginan) untuk keluar dari pekerjaan

    Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membuktikan pengaruh kecerdasan intelektual, emosional dan spiritual terhadap kinerja karyawan hotel berbintang lima di Kota Palembang. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh karyawan hotel berbintang lima di Kota Palembang. Sampel yang ditetapkan dalam penelitian ini adalah 120 orang responden. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuesioner. Pengujian data dilakukan dengan SPSS. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa secara simultan dan parsial terdapat pengaruh kecerdasan intelektual, emosional dan spiritual terhadap kinerja karyawan hotel berbintang lima di Kota Palembang yang artinya hasil analisa menunjukan semua hipotesis yang diajukan dalam riset ini diterima

    The purpose of this research was to investigate the influence of job insecurity on the turnover intention among bank employees in Palembang. This descriptive qualitative study employed job insecurity as the independent variable and turnover intention as the dependent variable. The data collection technique was questionnaires, which were distributed to 125 bank employees in the city of Palembang by using a purposive sampling method. The data were then analyzed using SPSS 19.0 for Windows. The results of this study showed that job insecurity has a positive and significant effect on turnover intention. Consequently, the higher the job insecurity is, the higher the intensity (intention or desire) to resign from the job

The analysis used employee’s perception about empowerment. The result of this research indicates that empowerment is good. The most dominant employee empowerment was accountablity.     THE ROLE OF ENGLISH COMMUNICATION COMPETENCE TOWARD STAR HOTEL STAFFS’ WORKING ACHIEVEMENT IN PALEMBANG

    Considering the implementation of ASEAN Economic Community and Asian Games 2018, potential hotels are urged to prepare qualified and competitive human resource. Language is believed as a means of communication among people involved in these international events. People around the world would stay at certain hotel, and English communication competence might relate the hotel guests and the employees as service provider agent. This study aims to excavate the role of English communication competence toward employees’ working achievement. About three hundred and fifty-three employes from forty-four different star hotels in Palembang were involved as the sample. The data was collected by administering two kinds of instruments, namely speaking test (to obtain the condition of their communication competence) and questionnaires concerning superior’s judgement on employees’ working achievement. The results were obtained through the descriptive, percentage, and statistical analysis which was aimed to find out the significant influence of English communication competence toward employee achievement. The findings showed that there was positive influence of English communication competence toward employees’ achievement

    Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui implementasi pemberdayaan karyawan (Employee Empowerment) di PT. FIF Group Cabang Palembang. Penelitian ini menggunakan analisis deskriptif. Sumber data yang dipergunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah data primer, yaitu data yang diperoleh langsung dari sumbernya dengan cara menyebarkan kuesioner. Pengumpulan data di lakukan dengan metode kuesioner, sampel pada penelitian ini berjumlah 74 responden dengan metode proportional cluster random sampling. Berdasarkan hasil analisis dapat diketahui bahwa secara keseluruhan pemberdayaan karyawan P.T. FIF Group Cabang Palembang sudah baik. Pemberdayaan karyawan yang paling dominan adalah accountability.     Pengaruh Pemberdayaan Karyawan dan Locus Of Control terhadap Kinerja Karyawan (Studi Kasus Pada PT. FIF Group Cabang Palembang 1)

    The purpose of this research is to find out the influence of employee empowerment and locus of control toward employee performance in PT FIF Group Palembang. This study involved the employee empowerment(X1) and locus of control (X2) as independent variables and employee performance as dependent variable (Y). The data was collected through questionnaire which distributed to 74 employees of PT. FIF Group Palembang. The respondents were selected by using proportional cluster random sampling method, which means that the population is grouped based on each part, thus the sample is selected from each part by using simple random sampling method (Sekaran, 2000:283). Whilst, the data were analyzed by using SPSS 17.0 program for windows. The independent variable (locus of control) partially did not positively influence and was not significant toward the dependent variable (employee performance). Whilst according to the calculation of three box method, it was found out that locus of control in the statement as a fortune for the respondents was high. It is implied that t value of locus of control did not influence the employee performance which means H1 was rejected. The independent variable (empowerment) partially and positively influenced and was significant toward the dependent variable of employee performance. The calculation of three box method showed that the variable of PT FIFGROUP through the section head which introduced the individual initiative to have transformation by completing the work was high. In other words, it can be said that the stronger the empowerment influence was, the stronger the appropriateness relation between empowerment toward employee performance would be, H2 was accepted

    Behavior Analysis of Using E-Wallet Features in the Covid-19 Pandemic Era by Applying Technology Acceptance Models

    This study aims to analyze and understand consumer behavior in using electronic wallets (e-wallets) including pay later derivative features during the Covid-19 pandemic. Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) was used to measure the “perceived usefulness” and “perceived ease of using” e-wallet. In addition, perceived risk and user experience effect on the behavior of using digital wallets is also measured. The method used is an online survey to electronic wallet users through direct messages to followers of the official Instagram social media accounts of the top 5 electronic wallet companies in Indonesia. Mean score, multiple linear regression, and moderated regression analysis (MRA) were used to analyze and hypotheses testing. The results showed an increase in the use of e-wallet during the Covid-19 pandemic, but respondents still felt a high risk in using the pay later feature. The ‘perceived usefulness”, “perceived ease of use”, and user experience positively influences e-wallet reuse interest. The user's perceived risk becomes lower with more frequent use, this makes the interest in continuing to use high. Especially for the risk of using the pay later feature, respondents are still hesitant to use it so that it has a negative relationship with the behavior of using the pay later feature in digital wallets. Perceived risk acts as a quasi-moderator in the relationship between post-use evaluation and interest to use continuously
