Medical resource inventory model for emergency preparation with uncertain demand and stochastic occurrence time under considering different risk preferences at the airport

    No full text
<div><p>With the high accident rate of civil aviation, medical resource inventory becomes more important for emergency management at the airport. Meanwhile, medical products usually are time-sensitive and short lifetime. Moreover, we find that the optimal medical resource inventory depends on multiple factors such as different risk preferences, the material shelf life and so on. Thus, it becomes very complex in a real-life environment. According to this situation, we construct medical resource inventory decision model for emergency preparation at the airport. Our model is formulated in such a way as to simultaneously consider uncertain demand, stochastic occurrence time and different risk preferences. For solving this problem, a new programming is developed. Finally, a numerical example is presented to illustrate the proposed method. The results show that it is effective for determining the optimal medical resource inventory for emergency preparation with uncertain demand and stochastic occurrence time under considering different risk preferences at the airport.</p></div

Topological Type-II Nodal Line Semimetal and Dirac Semimetal State in Stable Kagome Compound Mg3Bi2

    No full text
Topological type-II nodal line semimetal (NLS) was proposed quite recently and exhibits distinct properties compared with conventional type-I NLS. To date, no ambient-condition stable candidate material has been reported. Here we propose that a stable Kagome compound Mg3Bi2 can host a type-II nodal line state with the protection of time reversal and spatial inversion symmetries. Similar to type-I NLSs, the type-II nodal line in Mg3Bi2 is characterized by the drumhead surface states, which has not been observed in the previous type-II NLSs. The nodal line in Mg3Bi2 can open a minor gap, and a pair of 3D Dirac points occurs when SOC is included. The SOC-induced gap around the nodal line is quite small, and the formation of 3D Dirac points is independent of the nodal line. Therefore, the Mg3Bi2 compound is expected to be a good candidate to investigate the exotic properties of both type-II NLS and 3D Dirac semimetal states

Characterization of a Novel Butachlor Biodegradation Pathway and Cloning of the Debutoxylase (Dbo) Gene Responsible for Debutoxylation of Butachlor in Bacillus sp. hys‑1

Bacillus sp. strain hys-1, which was isolated from active sludge, could degrade >90% butachlor at a concentration of 100 mg/L within 7 days. The present work revealed that strain hys-1 could mineralize butachlor via the following pathway: butachlor was initially metabolized to 2-chloro-<i>N</i>-(2,6-diethylphenyl)-<i>N</i>-methylacetamide by debutoxylation and then transformed to form 2-chloro-<i>N</i>-(2,6-diethylphenyl)acetamide by N-demethylation. Subsequently, it was converted to 2,6-diethylaniline and further mineralized into CO2 and H2O. In addition, the catalytic efficiency of crude cell extracts descended as follows: alachlor > acetochlor > butachlor. Furthermore, a novel 744 bp gene responsible for transforming butachlor into 2-chloro-<i>N</i>-(2,6-diethylphenyl)-<i>N</i>-methylacetamide was cloned from strain hys-1 and the encoding debutoxylase was designated Dbo. Then Dbo was expressed in Escherichia coli BL21 (DE3) and purified using Ni–nitrilotriacetic acid affinity chromatography. Dbo displayed the highest activity against butachlor at pH 6.5 and 30 °C. Metal ions played an important role in Dbo activity. To the best of the authors’ knowledge, this is the first report that strain hys-1 can mineralize butachlor by a novel metabolic mechanism and the first identification of a gene encoding butachlor debutoxylase
