Passata evoluzione e future tendenze dell’invecchiamento demografico in Italia
The contribution describes the ageing process of Italian Population – analyzed through the geographical areas of Nord-Center and South-Islands – specifying both the past and the future evolution of the phenomenon (from the 1980 to the 2040). In this paper two well-known indicators are used: the average age and the over 65 years old percentage on the overall population. In addition the study consists on obtaining two more indexes able to measure the velocity and the acceleration of the preceding of ageing phenomenon
The essay portrays some of the main issues in the disclosure of digital information in criminal proceedings, and examines the solutions that the European Court of Human Rights has elaborated so far
Chain of Custody of Digital Evidence: Comparing Solutions
The essay describes the
current regulation concerning the chain of custody of digital evidence, comparing the
Italian solutions with those adopted in other countries
One-Shot Learning of Ensembles of Temporal Logic Formulas for Anomaly Detection in Cyber-Physical Systems
Cyber-Physical Systems (CPS) are prevalent in critical infrastructures and a prime target for cyber-attacks. Multivariate time series data generated by sensors and actuators of a CPS can be monitored for detecting cyber-attacks that introduce anomalies in those data. We use Signal Temporal Logic (STL) formulas to tightly describe the normal behavior of a CPS, identifying data instances that do not satisfy the formulas as anomalies. We learn an ensemble of STL formulas based on observed data, without any specific knowledge of the CPS being monitored. We propose an algorithm based on Grammar-Guided Genetic Programming (G3P) that learns the ensemble automatically in a single evolutionary run. We test the effectiveness of our data-driven proposal on two real-world datasets, finding that the proposed one-shot algorithm provides good detection performance

Plant adaptation to extreme environments: The example of Cistus salviifolius of an active geothermal alteration field
Cistus salviifolius is able to colonise one of the most extreme active geothermal alteration
fields in terms of both soil acidity and hot temperatures. The analyses of morphofunctional
and physiological characters, investigated in leaves of plants growing around
fumaroles (G leaves) and in leaves developed by the same plants after transfer into growth
chamber under controlled conditions (C leaves) evidenced the main adaptive traits
developed by this pioneer plant in a stressful environment. These traits involved leaf shape
and thickness, mesophyll compactness, stomatal and trichome densities, chloroplast size.
Changes of functional and physiological traits concerned dry matter content, peroxide and
lipid peroxidation, leaf area, relative water and pigment contents. A higher reducing power
and antioxidant enzymatic activity were typical of G leaves. Though the high levels of
stress parameters, G leaves showed stress-induced specific morphogenic and physiological
responses putatively involved in their surviving in active geothermal habitats
