    Aplikasi Irene Donut: Penerimaan dan Perubahan Sikap Orang Tua dalam Mencegah Karies Gigi Murid TK di Kota Serang

    Irene donut is an application for assessing carries risk and changing the parent’s behavior. Irene donut application has rapidly grew from manul to android. The purpose of this study was to describe the user acceptance rate of Irene Donut application and to analyze the effect of “Irene Donut”  android version on parent’s attitude to prevent dental caries in children. The design of this study was pre-experimental  with repeated measure. Pre-post intervention study was conducted in Serang City, Banten-Indonesia and involved 62 parents from 4 preschools. A self-administered measurement was applied to asses user acceptance and oral health attitude before and after the program with conducted for 3 weeks. The data were analyzed using Wilcoxon test. Results showed that a statistically significance difference. That there was an effect in attitude (p=0,001). The positive attitude increased by 5,6%. Generally, User acceptance of  application  has been increased in 3 weeks (4,9%). Positive acceptance are usefulness; compatibility; triability; observability; and behavioral intention. Conclusion, Irene donut application was effective in improving oral health attitude for parents to prevent dental caries children and irene donut application has positive acceptance by the users

    IL-1β level of macrophage exposed to A. actinomycetemomitans decreases after administration Curcuma Zedoaria volatile oil. Activation of interleukin-1β (IL-1β) is a key regulator of the inflammatory response. Macrophage is a phagocytic mononuclear cell that plays an important role in innate and adaptive immune response. The cytokine secreted by macrophages in response to pathogen are IL-1, IL-6, IL-12, TNF-α and chemokine. Curcuma zedoaria volatile oil may have anti inflammation effect. The aim of this study was to investigate IL-1β level of macrophage exposed to A. actinomycetemcomitans after administration Curcuma zedoaria volatile oil. The subjects were 10 male Wistar rats, which divided into two groups (treatment and control), each group 5 rats. In the treatment group, 30,6 μl/ml Curcuma zedoaria volatile oil was administered per oral for 14 days and the control group used aquabidest. In the 7th days, 100 μl A. actinomycetemcomitans in CMC 2% were applied on the anterior gingival mandible for 7 days. Rats were anesthetized in the 15th days then macrophage was collected from peritoneal. Interleukin-1β level of macrophage was measured using ELISA kit (R&D Systems, USA). Data were analyzed using t-test. The result showed IL-1β level decreased after treatment. The comparison between treatment and control was significant difference (p<0.05). It can be concluded that Curcuma zedoaria volatile oil may have anti inflammation effect through reducing the IL-1β level of macrophage

    ABSTRACT Moderate gingivitis is the most common gingival inflammation caused by dental plaque in or near gingival sulcus. Dental plaque can attack the host defenses due to metabolic activity and stiumlate the inflammation. Moderate gingivitis which is characterized by swollen redness, altering the contour, and bleeding on probing in gums. Commonly gingivitis treatment is decreasing ethiology factor by decreasing bacterials and deposit in oral with antimicrobial mouthwash. Piper betle Linn. leaf has antibacterial activity. The aim of this study was to investigate the effectiveness of gargling with 25% of piper betle Linn. leaf decoction mouthwash in gingival status of moderate gingivitis patients. Subjects consisted of 20 moderate gingivitis patients (aged range 18- 25 years old), divided into 2 groups. Each group consisted of 10 patients who gargled with 25% of Piper betle Linn. leaf decoction mouthwash and 0,1% hexetidine as positive control. Gargling was done for 60 seconds, twice a day in the morning and night for 5 consecutive days. On the first day before and the day after the serial treatment. Gingival Index (GI) was measured. The score of GI was measured before and after gargling. Gingival status data was analyzed by proportion value from before and after gargling, the next test used Mann Whitney (p<0,05). The result of this study showed that the GI score was decreased after treatment. There was no significance difference in GI score of treatment group compare to control group. Thus, gargling 25% of Piper betle Linn. leaf decoction was able to decrease gingivitis and indicate that 25% of Piper betle Linn. leaf decoction has the same effect as hexetidine 0,1

    One of the essential resources in management is human resources. The importance of human resources needs to be realized by all levels of management. Schools as a unified education system are expected to provide learning experiences for all students to master competencies by the level of education and the unique mission it carries. However, the lack of human resources allows this service movement to fill the existing problems. The training carried out is the calculation of print production costs. In implementing this community service activity, several methods are used, including observation, interviews, discussions, questionnaires, theory, and practice calculating the cost of print production and ending with an evaluation. There was an increase in students' knowledge from 10% to 83.33% after the training. Suppose the school has difficulty finding teachers/HR according to their competence in teaching print cost calculation subjects. In that case, the school should often provide training from higher education institutions and industry to reduce HR competencies gaps

    Safety culture is the key in the preventing of accidents and occupational diseases in the work environment and industry. Safety&nbsp; culture must be trained since school, especially vocational high school. The results of the literature state that OHS training taught during formal schools has an effect on decreasing working injury incidence (WIs) when they work in industry. Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) training for Vocational High School students majoring in Graphic Production has never been carried out and even there is no&nbsp; subject. Therefore, the OHS training is expected to become a routine training as a provision and familiarize the safety culture in the schools. The aim of this training is to improve the competence of students in SMKN 7 Jakarta majoring in Graphic Production. The method in this training is carried out online using the media zoom meeting for 3 hours with two meetings. This training begins with a general OSH behavior assessment and then the results of the assessment are used as the basis for developing training materials. The training materials were given to students of SMKN 7 majoring in graphic production for class XI. Prior to the implementation of learning, a pre-test of OHS material and post-test was given to determine if there was a change in knowledge after being given OSH training online. Based on the results, online OHS training activities can increase the knowledge of the Graphic Production Department Vocational High School students. It is hoped that the increase in knowledge will become an attitude and behavior so that safety will become a culture in schoolsBudaya keselamatan merupakan kunci dalam pencegahan kecelakaan dan penyakit akibat kerja di lingkungan kerja dan industri. Budaya keselamatan harus dilatih sejak sekolah, khususnya sekolah menengah kejuruan. Hasil literatur menyatakan bahwa pelatihan K3 yang diajarkan di sekolah formal berpengaruh terhadap penurunan kejadian kecelakaan kerja (WK) ketika mereka bekerja di industri. Pelatihan Kesehatan dan Keselamatan Kerja (K3) bagi siswa SMK jurusan Produksi Grafis belum pernah dilaksanakan bahkan tidak ada mata pelajarannya. Oleh karena itu, pelatihan K3 diharapkan dapat menjadi pelatihan rutin sebagai bekal dan sosialisasi budaya keselamatan di sekolah. Pelatihan ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kompetensi siswa SMKN 7 Jakarta jurusan Produksi Grafis. Metode dalam pelatihan ini dilakukan secara online dengan menggunakan media zoom meeting selama 3 jam dengan dua kali pertemuan. Pelatihan ini diawali dengan penilaian perilaku K3 secara umum dan kemudian hasil penilaian tersebut dijadikan dasar untuk mengembangkan materi pelatihan. Materi pelatihan diberikan kepada siswa SMKN 7 jurusan produksi grafis kelas XI. Sebelum pelaksanaan pembelajaran diberikan pre-test materi K3 dan post-test untuk mengetahui apakah ada perubahan pengetahuan setelah diberikan pelatihan K3 secara online. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, kegiatan pelatihan K3 secara online dapat meningkatkan pengetahuan siswa SMK Jurusan Produksi Grafis. Peningkatan pengetahuan diharapkan menjadi sikap dan perilaku sehingga keselamatan menjadi budaya di sekolah
