Distributed intrusion detection trust management through integrity and expertise evaluation
Information sharing and collaboration has facilitated decision accuracy and reaction time in many applications. Distributed Intrusion Detection Systems (DIDS) solutions are one of such applications that have dramatically been transformed. This is mainly due to increasing number of attacks as well as sophisticated nature of today's intrusions. Moreover, it has been shown that various critical components of a system can be targeted. This is further exasperated by the fact that most DIDS models do not consider attacks that targets the collaborative network itself. We specifically find this issue to be very critical and hence in this paper we propose a trust aware DIDS simulation model that is capable of categorizing each participating IDS expertise (i.e. speciality and competence), therefore helps collaborating organizations to consult our simulation model for choosing the right candidate for any type of intrusion. We call our proposed DIDS model Consultative Trusted Computing-based Collaborative IDS (CTC IDS). We utilize the Trusted Platform Module (TPM) for integrity evaluation and to fine-tune peer evaluation
Community Input on an Enhanced Care Planning Tool Addressing Health Behaviors, Mental Health Needs, and Social Risks
Background: Many patients with multiple chronic conditions (MCC) have social risks, mental health needs, and/or unhealthy behaviors. These interfere with their ability to manage their MCC. A care planning tool was created to help address these needs; this study solicited feedback from stakeholder groups and incorporated it into improving the tool.
Methods: Instrument: The Enhanced Care Planning (ECP) tool screens patients for social risks, mental health needs, and unhealthy behaviors. They are shown where their responses revealed risk, then select 1-2 to improve upon. Next, patients set personal goals and select strategies to support them. Patients are supported by the clinical care team and a community health worker to connect them to community resources. Procedures: Four stakeholder groups provided feedback on the ECP tool: community members, community service professionals (CSPs), researchers, and patients. A community review board of community members reviewed the ECP process. Researchers and CSPs then reviewed ECP content. Feedback was incorporated into revisions of the ECP content and process, then patients provided final feedback.
Results: All stakeholder groups provided unique feedback. Community members desired visuals, the ability to individualize and receive support throughout the process. Researchers and CSPs recommended removing jargon. While researchers were interested in specific evidence-based strategies, CSPs suggested strategies with anecdotal support. Patients expressed positive overall impressions of the tool, interest in using it, and increased awareness of domains that influence their health.
Conclusion: Feedback from all groups significantly altered the ECP tool’s design, and is likely to improve its usability and impact.https://scholarscompass.vcu.edu/gradposters/1109/thumbnail.jp
Limbah Kayu sebagai Media Karya Seni Lukis
Penciptaan ini mempunyai latar belakang limbah yang berada pada lingkungan sekitar, dengan adanya pemanfaatan limbah sebagai bahan yang bermanfaat dan mempunyai nilai ekonomi. Limbah yang dihasilkan adalah jenis limbah padat berupa kayu sebagai media untuk pengganti kanvas. Ada beberapa jenis limbah kayu yang dihasilkan berupa limbah kayu mahoni dan pinus. Bentuk yang dihasilkan bermacam-macam sesuai dengan bentuk sisa-sisa potongan limbah tersebut. Dalam medianya potongan kayu tersebut disusun pada papan seperti bentuk kolase dengan cara ditempel. Fokus penciptaan pada karya ini adalah pemanfaatan limbah kayu sebagai media berkarya seni lukis. Sedangkan tujuan dari penciptaan ini adalah untuk mengurangi pencemaran lingkungan dan menjadikan bahan sisa limbah kayu menjadi karya seni yang mempunyai nilai ekonomi. Metode yang digunakan dalam penciptaan ini adalah metode penciptaan . Tahap penciptaan adalah suatu proses untuk menciptakan karya. Dalam hal ini ada beberapa tahapan yang digunakan untuk proses pembuatan karya seni lukis antara lain; pengamatan visual, menginat/rasional/ lahiriah, rasa/jiwa/ batiniah, seniman, ide, konsep, proses dan hasil karya seni. Pada proses penciptaan limbah kayu sebagai media limbah kayu ini, langkah pertama adalah menyiapkan media kayu berupa sisa-sisa potongan kayu dari berbagai macam bentuk, proses pengamplasan yang mana untuk menghaluskan gerigi-geri kayu untuk mempermudah dalam pewarnaannya, proses penyusunan bentuk kolase yang diaplikasikan untuk media melukisnya, selanjutnya yang terakhir proses penempelan potongan kayu yang menggunakan lem kayu. Setiap potongan kayu dan susunan akan mendapatkan hasil bentuk yang berbeda-beda. Hasil dari penciptaan limbah kayu sebagai media berkarya seni lukis ini mengahsilkan 21panel dalam empat karya dengan berbagai bentuk susunan dan model potongan kayu. Pada karya pertama yang berjudul “Work Housewife (pekerjaan ibu rumah tangga)”, media limbah kayu ini ada 8panel setiap panel berukuran 60x60cm. karya kedua yang berjudul “ Wanita Masa Kini” dengan media kayu ukuran 140x70cm. karya ketiga yang berjudul “Memori” media kayu ini ada 8panel berukuran 40x40cm. Dan yang terakhir karya keempat yang berjudul “ Nada-Nada Indah” media kayu 4panel dengan ukuran 40x40cm.

ENGLISH TEACHING-LEARNING PROCESS USING GAMES AT “PERMATA HATI” PLAY GROUP WONOGIRI
The objectives of this research are to describe the English teaching-learning
processusinggames and also the strengths and the weaknesses of it. Thisresearch
was undertaken in Permata Hati Play group Wonogiri. The subjects of the
research are the teacher and the group B (Bulan) students of Permata Hati Play
Group. There were 21 students in group B. The writer collected the data of the
research through observation, field notes, and interview.
The result of the data analysis shows that in teaching-learning process the
teachers always opened with greeting, then continued by classroom activities such
as games, and the last is closed by greeting. In the classroom the teachers and the
student show a good interaction. There is a cheerful circumstance. The children
followed the classroom activities enthusiastically and if the children get
difficulties the teachers always help them.
There were also some strengths and the weaknesses of English t eaching-
learning process using games. Those strengths are the teacher was behaving
energetically, clearly, encouragingly, and fairly. In games, the children also have a
high interest in following the activities, they were motivated to be active and to
compete fairly, they could learn while playing, and the circumstance is relaxed,
cheerful and enjoyable. Besides that, all of the children had opportunity to be
active in the following the games. The weaknesses of games are the teachers need
an extra energy, n eed an extra patience to handle the children during the games,
and the teachers always help and guide the children continually. Besides that
games are also a time consuming activities. In doing the games some of the
children are not serious and easily felt bored.
The writer concludes that the English teaching-learning process using games
at Permata Hati Play Group runs well. Although the English subject is not the part
of curriculum from the institution but the classroom activities are effective. The
children can absorb the materials well and have a good result
Pengaruh Variabel-Variabel Fundamental Dan Teknikal Terhadap Harga Saham Pada Perusahaan Manufaktur Yang Terdaftar Di Bursa Efek Indonesia
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kemampuan signifikansi apakah variabel-variabel fundamental dan teknikal dapat mempengaruhi harga saham pada perusahaan manufaktur. Peneliti menggunakan sampel sebanyak 44 perusahaan manufaktur yang dipilih secara purposive sampling. Data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah laporan keuangan diterbitkan oleh Indonesian Capital Market Directory (ICMD) dan IDX Yearly Statistics. Data yang diambil berupa laporan keuangan perusahaan manufaktur yang go public periode 2006-2010. Variabel dalam penelitian ini menggunakan variabel fundamental (Current Ratio, Net Profit Margin, Return of Assets, Return of Equity, dan Debt to Equity Ratio) dan variabel teknikal (volume perdagangan dan indeks harga saham individual) sebagai variabel independen dan harga saham sebagai variabel dependen. Determination of electric field, magnetic field, and electric current distributions of infrared optical antennas: A nano-optical vector network analyzer
In addition to the electric field E(r), the associated magnetic field H(r)
and current density J(r) characterize any electromagnetic device, providing
insight into antenna coupling and mutual impedance. We demonstrate the optical
analogue of the radio frequency vector network analyzer implemented in
interferometric homodyne scattering-type scanning near-field optical microscopy
(s-SNOM) for obtaining E(r), H(r), and J(r). The approach is generally
applicable and demonstrated for the case of a linear coupled-dipole antenna in
the mid-infrared. The determination of the underlying 3D vector electric
near-field distribution E(r) with nanometer spatial resolution and full phase
and amplitude information is enabled by the design of probe tips with
selectivity with respect to E-parallel and E-perpendicular fabricated by
focused ion-beam milling and nano-CVD
Towards a new framework for TPM compliance testing
Trusted Computing Group (TCG) has proposed the Trusted Computing (TC) concept. Subsequently, TC becomes a common base for many new computing platforms, called Trusted Platform (TP) architecture (hardware and software) that, practically, has a built-in trusted hardware component mounted at the hardware layer and a corresponding trusted software component installed at the operating system level. The trusted hardware component is called Trusted Platform Module (TPM) whose specification has been issued by TCG group and it is implemented by the industry as a tamper- resistant integrated circuit. In practice, the security of an IT TPM-enabled system relies on the correctness of its mounted TPM. Thus, TPM testing is urgently needed to assist in building confidence of the users on the security functionality provided by the TPM. This paper presents the state of the art of the modelling methods being used in the TPM compliance testing. Finally, the paper proposes new framework criteria for TPM Testing that aim at increasing the quality of TPM testing
