    This writing aims at investigating language attitude of Balinese young generation toward Balinesse, their mother tongue in tourist destination.   Qualitative approach is applied in this research. The data were in the form of spoken data, written data, and researcher’s language instuition. Through participative observation the data were collected from young generation at tourist destination such as Kuta, Sanur and Ubud by using questionnaire and observation sheet. The respondents were given 10 items of questions related to cognitive, affective, and behavioral (connative) aspects. Data collected were then analyzed by the theory of language attitude.     The purpose of this community outreach program is to introduce and educate the MSMEs community that they can access various funding sources to support their business, such as banks, cooperatives, Village Credit Institution (LPD), Village-owned Enterprises (BUMDes), and Financial Technology. These funding sources can be accessed to help MSMEs develop their businesses both in terms of quantity and quality. This program, was carried out in three different places, namely Tabanan Regency, Denpasar and Jembrana Regency. The community outreach program begins with observations and interviews with MSMEs actors and provides several questions related to capital and capital institutions related to MSMEs. The next stage is the online education stage between MSME actors as online participants and community service participants as material providers. The last stage is a survey again with questions given at the beginning to find out whether the education stage provides more understanding to MSMEs actors or not. The results of this study are that MSMEs actors are more educated and understand that there are several alternatives that can be chosen to help with their capital. MSMEs actors just need to be more careful and selective so they can get a safe source of funding

    Intrapleural hypotonic cisplatin treatment for malignant pleural effusion in 80 patients with non-small-cell lung cancer: a multi-institutional phase II trial

    To assess the effect and toxicity of hypotonic cisplatin treatment (HPT) consisting of the intrapleural administration of cisplatin in distilled water for malignant pleural effusion in patients with non-small-cell lung cancer (NSCLC). Non-small-cell lung cancer patients with cytologically proven and previously untreated malignant pleural effusion were enrolled into this study. Firstly, the lung was fully re-expanded by a tube thoracostomy, and then 25 mg cisplatin in 500 ml of distilled water was instilled through a chest tube and then the tube was clamped. After 1 h, the tube was declamped and allowed to drain. The chest tube was removed when the pleural effusion volume decreased to 200 ml or less per day. A complete response (CR) was considered to occur when the pleural effusion disappeared. A partial response (PR) was determined to occur when the volume of pleural effusion remained under ¼ of hemithorax. The response at 4 weeks was evaluated by an extramural review. Out of 84 patients enrolled from February 1998 to August 2002, 80 patients were eligible and analysed in the present study. The toxicity of HPT was acceptable. Neither a haematological toxicity of any grade nor grade 4 nonhaematological toxicity was observed. Grade 3 nonhaematological toxicities were observed, including nausea (4%), vomiting (3%), pyothorax (1%) and dyspnoea (1%). The median time of drainage from HTP was 4 days. Twenty-seven (34%) and 39 (49%) patients achieved CR and PR, respectively, for an overall response rate of 83% (95% confidence interval, 74–91%). The median duration of the response was 206 days. The median survival time of all patients was 239 days. Hypotonic cisplatin treatment for malignant pleural effusion of NSCLC is therefore considered to be feasible and effective. A phase III study of HPT is thus warranted

    Unconstrained three-dimensional reaching in Rhesus monkeys

    To better understand normative behavior for quantitative evaluation of motor recovery after injury, we studied arm movements by non-injured Rhesus monkeys during a food-retrieval task. While seated, monkeys reached, grasped, and retrieved food items. We recorded three-dimensional kinematics and muscle activity, and used inverse dynamics to calculate joint moments due to gravity, segmental interactions, and to the muscles and tissues of the arm. Endpoint paths showed curvature in three dimensions, suggesting that maintaining straight paths was not an important constraint. Joint moments were dominated by gravity. Generalized muscle and interaction moments were less than half of the gravitational moments. The relationships between shoulder and elbow resultant moments were linear during both reach and retrieval. Although both reach and retrieval required elbow flexor moments, an elbow extensor (triceps brachii) was active during both phases. Antagonistic muscles of both the elbow and hand were co-activated during reach and retrieval. Joint behavior could be described by lumped-parameter models analogous to torsional springs at the joints. Minor alterations to joint quasi-stiffness properties, aided by interaction moments, result in reciprocal movements that evolve under the influence of gravity. The strategies identified in monkeys to reach, grasp, and retrieve items will allow the quantification of prehension during recovery after a spinal cord injury and the effectiveness of therapeutic interventions

    Pengembangan Media Pembelajaran E-Komik Berbasis Pendekatan Kontekstual Pada Materi Perubahan Wujud Benda Muatan IPA Kelas V SD

    Penelitian pengembangan ini dilatarbelakangi oleh kurangnya media pembelajaran yang kreatif dan inovatif dalam meningkatkan motivasi belajar IPA siswa kelas V. Adapun tujuan dari penelitian yaitu (1) mendeskripsikan rancang bangun pengembangan media pembelajaran e-komik berbasis pendekatan kontekstual, (2) untuk mengetahui tingkat kelayakan media pembelajaran e-komik berbasis pendekatan kontekstual. Model penelitian yang digunakan dalam mengembangkan media e-komik adalah model ADDIE (Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). Metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan yaitu metode wawancara, observasi dan kuesioner. Bentuk analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis data deskriptif kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Media pembelajaran e-komik dinyatakan layak bersadarkan hasil uji para ahli dan uji coba siswa. Hasil persentase tingkat kelayakan media pembelajaran e-komik berdasarkan penilaian ahli isi sebesar 97,91% dengan kualifikasi sangat baik, ahli desain pembelajaran sebesar 93,75% dengan kualifikasi sangat baik, ahli media pembelajaran sebesar 90% dengan kualifikasi sangat baik dan hasil uji coba perorangan sebesar 94,33% dengan kualifikasi sangat baik serta hasil uji coba kelompok kecil sebesar 93% dengan kualifikasi sangat baik. Berdasarkan hasil uji para ahli, uji coba perorangan dan uji coba kelompok kecil dapat disimpulkan pengembangan media pembelajaran e-komik berbasis pendekatan kontekstual layak digunakan sebagai media pembelajaran muatan IPA materi perubahan wujud benda untuk siswa kelas V

    Multimedia Pembelajaran Interaktif pada Muatan IPA Materi Sifat-Sifat Cahaya untuk Siswa Kelas IV SD

    Permasalahan yang ditemukan pada saat melaksanakan observasi adalah sebagain besar hasil belajar IPA siswa rendah. Hal tersebut terjadi karena sejak proses pembelajaran dilakukan secara online siswa mengalami kesulitan dalam belajar seperti kurang menguasai atau memahami materi yang diberikan oleh pendidik. Berdasarkan hasil observasi yang didapatkan dilakukan penelitian menggunakan video pembelajaran animasi dengan tujuan merancang bangun multimedia pembelajaran interaktif muatan IPA, dan memutuskan kelayakan multimedia pembelajaran interaktif muatan IPA. Model penelitian yang digunakan adalah model ADDIE (Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). Produk yang dihasilkan berupa aplikasi yang dapat diakses melalui smartphone maupun laptop. Subjek dalam penelitian ini terdiri dari 9 orang siswa. Metode yang digunakan dalam pengumpulan data penelitian yaitu menggunakan kuesioner, dengan teknik analisis data menggunakan analisis deskriptif kuantitatif. Berdasarkan hasil penelitia, diperoleh hasil uji ahli isi pembelajaran sebesar 82,5% kualifikasi baik, uji ahli desain pembelajaran sebesar 92,85% kualifikasi sangat baik, uji ahli media pembelajaran sebesar 91,17% kualifikasi sangat baik. Pada uji coba perorangan memperoleh hasil sebesar 91% kualifikasi sangat baik, dan uji coba kelompok kecil sebesar 90,90% kualifikasi sangat baik. Berdasarkan hasil uji ahli dan uji responden pada penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa Multimedia Pembelajaran Interaktif layak digunakan pada kegiatan pembelajaran khususnya pada muatan IPA di Sekolah Dasar
