Glauber dynamics in a single-chain magnet: From theory to real systems
The Glauber dynamics is studied in a single-chain magnet. As predicted, a
single relaxation mode of the magnetization is found. Above 2.7 K, the
thermally activated relaxation time is mainly governed by the effect of
magnetic correlations and the energy barrier experienced by each magnetic unit.
This result is in perfect agreement with independent thermodynamical
measurements. Below 2.7 K, a crossover towards a relaxation regime is observed
that is interpreted as the manifestation of finite-size effects. The
temperature dependences of the relaxation time and of the magnetic
susceptibility reveal the importance of the boundary conditions.Comment: Submitted to PRL 10 May 2003. Submitted to PRB 12 December 2003;

Multicenter Adaptation Of The Guide Autonomous Management Of Medication
Rising psychotropic prescriptions and low empowerment of mental health users hamper qualified delivery of mental health services in Brazil and countries providing universal healthcare. This multicentric study performed in three Brazilian cities aimed to develop the Brazilian translation and adaptation upon the Quebecoise-Canadian Gaining Autonomy and Medication (GAM) Guide; and to evaluate the impact of its use on mental health workers education. Intervention Groups (IGs) were held to provide experience sharing on medication as relevant issues were brought up by the guide. Pre- and post- IGs focus groups were held. Major changes to the original text of the Quebecoise handbook were necessary according to the Brazilian scenario. Results show the Brazilian version as a powerful strategy to promote users' participation in decision making concerning treatment as well as the mental health services they are in treatment at. The handbook also has a positive impact on staff education.1643967980Secretaria Municipal de Campinas (2010) Informações da Secretaria Municipal de Campinas Departamento de Saúde, Saúde Mental, , CAMPINASCampos, G.W.S., (2000) Um Método Para Análise E Co-gestão De Coletivos - a Construção Do Sujeito, a Produção De Valor De Uso E a Democracia Em Instituições: O Método Da Roda, , São Paulo: HucitecCampos, G.W.S., Onocko, R.C., Co-construção de autonomia: O sujeito em questão (2005) A Construção Da Clínica Ampliada Na Atenção Básica, pp. 86-107. , CAMPOS, G.W.SMINAYO, M.C.SAKERMAN, M.CUNHA, G.T. Carbon integral honeycomb monoliths as support of copper catalysts in the Kharasch–Sosnovsky oxidation of cyclohexene
Carbon integral honeycomb monoliths prepared from a natural coal were employed as support of copper catalysts for organic synthetic purposes. In particular good to excellent yields (60–100% as function of the carboxylic acid employed) were obtained in the preparation of allylic esters by the Kharasch–Sosnovsky oxidation of cyclohexene. Different characterization techniques such as chemical analysis by Inductively Coupled Plasma Spectroscopy, nitrogen physisorption, X-ray Diffraction with Rietveld analysis, X-ray Photoelectron and Raman Spectroscopies, Temperature-Programmed Reduction and Scanning Electron Microscopy allowed finding that key parameters such as textural properties, degree of copper precursor decomposition and active phase homogeneity and dispersion can be modulated as function of a simple synthetic variable: the method used to dry the monoliths after impregnation with the metal precursor, either conventional or using microwaves. The results obtained allow understanding the key role of the nature and chemical surrounding (O2 anions or OH groups) of Cu2+ ions in the catalytic activity in the reaction investigated as well as the operating deactivation mechanisms. The use of the structured catalysts here proposed also opens up an interesting alternative to homogeneous catalysis in the field of organic synthesis

Impact of Fractional Flow Reserve Derived from Coronary Computed Tomography Angiography on Heart Team Treatment Decision-Making in Patients with Multivessel Coronary Artery Disease: Insights from the SYNTAX III REVOLUTION Trial
Background: Fractional flow reserve (FFR) is a reliable tool for the functional assessment of coronary stenoses. FFR computed tomography (CT) derived (FFRCT) has shown to be accurate, but its clinical usefulness in patients with complex coronary artery disease remains to be investigated. The present study sought to determine the impact of FFRCT on heart team's treatment decision-making and selection of vessels for revascularization in patients with 3-vessel coronary artery disease. Methods: The trial was an international, multicenter study randomizing 2 heart teams to make a treatment decision between percutaneous coronary interventions and coronary artery bypass grafting using either coronary computed tomography angiography or conventional angiography. The heart teams received the FFRCT and had to make a treatment decision and planning integrating the functional component of the stenoses. Each heart team calculated the anatomic SYNTAX score, the noninvasive functional SYNTAX score and subsequently integrated the clinical information to compute the SYNTAX score III providing a treatment recommendation, that is, coronary artery bypass grafting, percutaneous coronary intervention, or equipoise coronary artery bypass grafting-percutaneous coronary intervention. The primary objective was to determine the proportion of patients in whom FFRCT changed the treatment decision and planning. Results: Overall, 223 patients were included. Coronary computed tomography angiography assessment was feasible in 99% of the patients and FFRCT analysis in 88%. FFRCT was available for 1030 lesions (mean FFRCT value 0.64\ub113). A treatment recommendation of coronary artery bypass grafting was made in 24% of the patients with coronary computed tomography angiography with FFRCT. The addition of FFRCT changed the treatment decision in 7% of the patients and modified selection of vessels for revascularization in 12%. With conventional angiography as reference, FFRCT assessment resulted in reclassification of 14% of patients from intermediate and high to low SYNTAX score tertile. Conclusions: In patients with 3-vessel coronary artery disease, a noninvasive physiology assessment using FFRCT changed heart team's treatment decision-making and procedural planning in one-fifth of the patients
