    Ethyl 3-methyl-5-nitro-1H-imidazole-2-carboxylate

    No full text
The structure determination of the compound C7H 9N3O4 reagent that is used in the synthesis of a class of pyschoactive drugs was investigated. It was found that the molecule of the compound was flat in the imidazole portion, but the carboxethyl group was twisted by 15.0 (1)° The compound was synthesized using a published procedure and crystals were obtained by recrystallization from diethyl ether. The structure from the x ray measurements was used for the calculation of the potential energy surface at the PM3 level using HyperChem

Brownian simulation of charge transport in α-Haemolysin

In this paper we present the results of self-consistent Brownian Dynamics simulations of the ion Channel alpha-Haemolysin. We show that with simple scaling, excellent agreement with experimental measurement of the current voltage characteristics of this molecule

Fabrication of tin monosulfide nanosheet arrays using laser ablation

    No full text
We demonstrate the non-catalytic, low-temperature (similar to 200A degrees C) synthesis of two-dimensional (2D) tin monosulfide (SnS) nanosheet arrays vertically aligned on the substrate by means of pulsed laser ablation (PLD) process. The prepared nanosheets were characterized using X-ray diffraction, Raman spectroscopy, field-emission electron microscopy, electron probe micro-analysis, and transmission electron microscopy (HRTEM). The growth mechanism of 2D morphological feature, which is widespread but very slim (similar to 10 nm), is further investigated in detail from the crystallographic point of view by observing highly-resolved lattice images taken from plane-normal and in-plane directions using focused ion-beam manipulation and high-resolution transmission microscopy.close4
