Navigating Digital Transformation in Retail: A Resource Orchestration Analysis Towards Achieving Online-to-Offline Channel Integration Strategy
The rise of e-commerce market exchanges has disrupted the traditional Brick and Mortar (B&M) retailing sector, compelling B&M retailers to adopt strategic responses to sustain their market positions. Online-to-Offline (O2O) retailing has emerged as a promising approach to harness the potential synergies between online and offline channels. However, scholarly inquiry into the process of implementing O2O retailing remains limited. To address the research gap, this study presents a resource orchestration analysis of O2O implementation, using a successful case study from a leading B&M in Asia. Drawing from the theoretical lens of resource orchestration, the study uncovers key processes encompassing structuring, bundling, and leveraging stages. These processes involve structuring unified IT and cross-channel management resources, bundling these resources to build O2O integration and O2O differentiation capabilities, and leveraging these capabilities to deliver O2O value. By shedding light on the intricate mechanisms involved in O2O implementation, this research contributes to advancing the theoretical understanding and managerial practice of O2O retailing strategies
Symmetry Factors of Feynman Diagrams for Scalar Fields
The symmetry factor of Feynman diagrams for real and complex scalar fields is
presented. Being analysis of Wick expansion for Green functions, the mentioned
factor is derived in a general form. The symmetry factor can be separated into
two ones corresponding to that of connected and vacuum diagrams. The
determination of symmetry factors for the vacuum diagrams is necessary as they
play a role in the effective action and phase transitions in cosmology. In the
complex scalar theory the diagrams different in topology may give the same
contribution, hence inverse of the symmetry factor (1/S) for total contribution

Hydrogen-rich Syngas Production from Ethanol Dry Reforming on La-doped Ni/Al2O3 Catalysts: Effect of Promoter Loading
Ethanol dry reforming has been studied over La-promoted Ni catalysts supported on Al2O3 with different promoter loadings at varying CO2 partial pressure of 20-50 kPa. Catalysts were prepared via co-impregnation technique and characterized using BET surface area, X-ray diffraction measurement, temperature-programmed calcination and scanning electron microscopy. Doped and undoped catalysts possessed high surface area of about 86-108 m2 g-1 and La promoter was well-dispersed on support surface. Xray
diffraction measurements indicated the formation of La2O3, NiO and NiAl2O4 phases in line with temperature-programmed
calcination results. La-addition enhanced the dispersion of NiO particles and reduced the agglomeration of metal oxides. Both C2H5OH and CO2 conversions improved with increasing CO2 partial pressure rationally due to the growing secondary CO2 reforming of CH4 reaction. The ratio of H2/CO produced from ethanol dry reforming varied from 1.1 to 1.4 favored for usage as feedstocks of Fischer-Tropsch synthesis. The yield of H2 and CO also enhanced with increasing CO2 partial pressure whilst the optimal La loading in terms of C2H5OH conversion was observed at 3%La and catalytic activity increased with promoter addition

Dark Matter on the Smallest Scales
This work investigates the dark matters structures that form on the smallest
cosmological scales. We find that the types and abundances of structures which
form at approximately Earth-mass scales are very sensitive to the nature of
dark matter. We explore various candidates for dark matter and determine the
corresponding properties of small-scale structure. In particular, we discuss
possibilities for indirect detection of dark matter through small-scale
structure, and comment on the potential of these methods for discriminating

Efficacy of iron fortification compared to iron supplementation among Vietnamese schoolchildren
The effect of iron fortification is generally assumed to be less than iron supplementation; however, the magnitude of difference in effects is not known. The present study aims to compare the efficacy of these two strategies on anaemia and iron status. After screening on low Hb, 425 anaemic children in six primary schools in Tam Nong district of Phu Tho province were included in a randomized, placebo-controlled trial comparing two groups receiving iron fortified instant noodles or iron supplementation for 6 months and a control group, with children in all groups having been dewormed. Blood samples were collected before and after intervention for haemoglobin, serum ferritin (SF), serum transferrin receptor (TfR), C-reactive protein (CRP), and haemoglobinopathies analysis. Regression analysis was used to assess the effect of iron fortification and iron supplementation on haemoglobin concentration, SF, TfR, body iron, and anaemic status as outcome variables. The improvement of haemoglobin, SF, and body iron level in the group receiving iron fortification was 42% (2.6 g/L versus 6.2 g/L), 20% (23.5 μg/L versus 117.3 μg/L), and 31.3% (1.4 mg/kg versus 4.4 mg/kg) of that in the iron supplementation group. The prevalence of anaemia dropped to 15.1% in the control group, with an additional reduction of anaemia of 8.5% in the iron supplementation group. The additional reduction due to iron fortification was 5.4%, which amounts to well over 50% of the impact of supplementation. In conclusion, the efficacy of iron fortification based on reduction of prevalence of anaemia, and on the change in haemoglobin level, is about half of the maximum impact of supplementation in case of optimal compliance. Thus, in a population of anaemic children with mild iron deficiency, iron fortification should be the preferred strategy to combat anaemia
Density functional theory calculations of the carbon ELNES of small diameter armchair and zigzag nanotubes: core-hole, curvature and momentum transfer orientation effects
We perform density functional theory calculations on a series of armchair and
zigzag nanotubes of diameters less than 1nm using the all-electron
Full-Potential(-Linearised)-Augmented-Plane-Wave (FPLAPW) method. Emphasis is
laid on the effects of curvature, the electron beam orientation and the
inclusion of the core-hole on the carbon electron energy loss K-edge. The
electron energy loss near-edge spectra of all the studied tubes show strong
curvature effects compared to that of flat graphene. The curvature induced
hybridisation is shown to have a more drastic effect on the
electronic properties of zigzag tubes than on those of armchair tubes. We show
that the core-hole effect must be accounted for in order to correctly reproduce
electron energy loss measurements. We also find that, the energy loss near edge
spectra of these carbon systems are dominantly dipole selected and that they
can be expressed simply as a proportionality with the local momentum projected
density of states, thus portraying the weak energy dependence of the transition
matrix elements. Compared to graphite, the ELNES of carbon nanotubes show a

Taking Healthy Steps: rationale, design and baseline characteristics of a randomized trial of a pedometer-based internet-mediated walking program in veterans with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease
Abstract
Background
Low levels of physical activity are common in patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), and a sedentary lifestyle is associated with poor outcomes including increased mortality, frequent hospitalizations, and poor health-related quality of life. Internet-mediated physical activity interventions may increase physical activity and improve health outcomes in persons with COPD.
Methods/Design
This manuscript describes the design and rationale of a randomized controlled trial that tests the effectiveness of Taking Healthy Steps, an Internet-mediated walking program for Veterans with COPD. Taking Healthy Steps includes an uploading pedometer, a website, and an online community. Eligible and consented patients wear a pedometer to obtain one week of baseline data and then are randomized on a 2:1 ratio to Taking Healthy Steps or to a wait list control. The intervention arm receives iterative step-count feedback; individualized step-count goals, motivational and informational messages, and access to an online community. Wait list controls are notified that they are enrolled, but that their intervention will start in one year; however, they keep the pedometer and have access to a static webpage.
Discussion
Participants include 239 Veterans (mean age 66.7 years, 93.7% male) with 155 randomized to Taking Healthy Steps and 84 to the wait list control arm; rural-living (45.2%); ever-smokers (93.3%); and current smokers (25.1%). Baseline mean St. George’s Respiratory Questionnaire Total Score was 46.0; 30.5% reported severe dyspnea; and the average number of comorbid conditions was 4.9. Mean baseline daily step counts was 3497 (+/- 2220).
Veterans with COPD can be recruited to participate in an online walking program. We successfully recruited a cohort of older Veterans with a significant level of disability including Veterans who live in rural areas using a remote national recruitment strategy.

Rapid integrated assessment of food safety and nutrition related to pork consumption of regular consumers and mothers with young children in Vietnam
Pork is the most common and widely consumed meat product in Vietnam. The study aimed to assess nutrition and food safety risks and opportunities associated with pork value chains in Vietnam. Twenty-nine focus group discussions (FGD) were conducted in Hung Yen and Nghe An provinces with 164 participants who were both regular pork consumers and mothers with young children. In each province, three districts were selected, and in each district we selected one commune. To assess the quality of pork, we took 30 swab samples of pig carcasses at slaughterhouses, 90 pork samples at slaughterhouses and markets and analysed all samples for total bacterial count (TBC), coliforms, water holding capacity and pH. The results showed that pork was the main livestock product consumed and women are responsible for buying and preparing food for daily meals. Pork was the main animal sourced food (ASF) for Vietnamese consumers, for 50–60% of ASF. There was little knowledge of zoonotic diseases. The findings suggest further studies to address consumers’ concern on chemical contamination. Most market pork samples were not within the allowable range of limits standards of Vietnam for bacterial contamination: 90% of samples were above the official permissible limit for TBC and 98% did not meet standards for coliforms. Fifty percent of samples had acceptable pH but only 5% had acceptable water holding capacity. There were no significant differences in pork quality between intensifying Hung Yen and traditional Nghe An provinces, although there was a tendency for samples from Hung Yen to have better compliance. This rapid assessment revealed considerable interest and knowledge on pork nutrition and safety and found some behavioural but few quality and safety differences between traditional and intensifying systems. This indicated marketed pork is of low quality and safety, and a lack of support to consumers in making good choices
