Munkaerő-mobilitás az EU-bővítés után
A szabad mozgás uniós alapjog, amelyet a keleti bővítés időszakában sokan a csatlakozás egyik legfontosabb hozadékának tekintettek. Mégis – közeledve a 2004-es
EU-bővítés tizedik évfordulójához – heves politikai és sajtóviták kereszttüzébe került a szabad mozgás joga, illetve általában a munkaerő-mobilitás kérdésköre. Ezen

Where now after ten years of Eastern enlargement?
The aim of this article is to evaluate the situation of the Central and Eastern European countries within the EU on the 10th anniversary of the Eastern Enlargement. Since 2004, the region has shown a trend to catch up with Western Europe in terms of both employment and economic performance. However, the financial and economic crisis which started in 2008 disrupted the previous trends of convergence for some, and greater differences emerged between individual countries' performances. The eastward enlargement has practically doubled labour mobility within the EU, and this phenomenon is likely to be sustained as long as income disparities between Member States persist. The 2004 and 2007 enlargements brought more welfare to the countries receiving mobile workers, whereas countries of origin bear the real risks of labour mobility from east to west. Today, it can be said that most of the newer Member States, irrespective of the varying speeds of convergence have developed within the EU as an 'inner periphery'. In order to make better use of the potential for economic growth in Central-Eastern Europe, investing in human capital should become a priority. The major question for the second decade of our enlarged European Union - aside from the reform of the monetary union - is whether the EU’s eastern region can continue to catch up without the internal socio-economic polarisation observed thus far, and whether the latter process can in fact be reversed
Fifteen Years of Convergence: East-West Imbalance and What the EU Should Do About it
The year 2019 marks the 15th anniversary of the Eastern EU
enlargement that incorporated the Visegrád Four, the Baltic
Three and Slovenia into the EU. But it also marks the 30th
anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall and the great political transformation that paved the way for the German as
well as the pan-European reunifi cation.
After the transformational recession of the early 1990s, the
region demonstrated strong growth potential that has been
consolidated by EU membership. However, the EU accession of East-Central European countries resulted in an imbalanced Single Market in which the positions and strategies of Eastern members have to be scrutinised from the
perspective of economic as well as social sustainability.
In this article, I explore some key trends and point to some
controversies. I argue that social convergence requires particular attention alongside economic convergence, and the
decoupling of the two is a trend that should be a matter of
concern. At the end, I highlight some ideas and initiatives in
the context of East-West convergence policies
Észak Dél ellen? Szabad kereskedelem, protekcionizmus és fejlesztési politika a világgazdaságban
A legradikálisabb globalizáció kritikák a WTO-t mint az ördögi liberalizmus globális szervezetét szeretnék végképp
eltörölni. Nem mindegy azonban, hogy a liberalizmus
globalitását, vagy egy globális szervezetet nevezünk-

Operation of Looped District Heating Networks
The study presents a methodology for the optimal operation of district heating networks with a circular conduit system. The authors discuss this this topic in an absolutely general form. By a special statement and solution of Kirchhoff Laws, node equations and loop equations, the hydraulic end point of the circle is determined, including the supply ratio of the consumer located at the hydraulic end point. Two objective functions are stated by the authors; one of them for the minimum of flow work, and the other for the minimum of power supplied. It is demonstrated that the objective functions yield different results. Theoretically more economical operation is ensured by the flow pattern resulting from the minimization of the power supplied
Balancing Openness and Protection: How can the EU budget help? EPC Commentary, 14 March 2018
In May 2018, the European Commission is expected to publish its proposal on the EU’s post-2020 funding strategy, a seven-year budget known as the Multiannual Financial Framework (MFF). This proposal comes at a time when, despite strong signs of economic recovery, European citizens’ attitudes towards the EU’s global trade and investment agenda remain mixed. In this commentary, the authors argue that the EU and its member states should use the context of the MFF review to better address European citizens’ concerns about the downsides of globalisation
