    Identifying Indonesian Meanings of Civil Engineering Terms Through the Analysis of Word Formation Process

    Perkembangan aspek bahasa merupakan salah satu hal yang menandai kemajuan zaman. Bahasa merupakan alat komunikasi manusia yang terangkai dari kalimat-kalimat dimana kalimat merupakan rangkaian dari kata-kata. Perkembangan aspek bahasa ditunjukkan oleh banyaknya kata baru yang terbentuk yang diperoleh dari berbagai aspek dimana salah satunya berasal dari bidang teknik sipil. Kata-kata baru ini umumnya berupa istilah yang dapat berasal dari berbagai bahasa. Selanjutnya, merupakan tugas para penerjemah untuk menerjemahkan istilah-istilah yang berasal dari berbagai bahasa tersebut agar dapat dipergunakan oleh para insinyur teknik sipil yang belum tentu menguasai banyak bahasa. Oleh karena itu, melalui penelitian ini, penulis bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi istilah-istilah teknik sipil berbahasa inggris pada bab 9 dalam modul Mastering Different Fields of Civil Engineering Works dengan analisis pembentukan kata sehingga diperoleh suatu metode penerjemahan, khususnya dalam menerjemahkan istilah-istilah dalam bidang teknik sipil. Dalam penelitian ini, penulis menerapkan beberapa teori dari dua pendekatan Linguistik, Morfologi dan Semantik, untuk menganalisis data. Dari pendekatan Morfologi, penulis menerapkan teori tentang morpheme, root, base, stem, affix dan word formation dari Nida (1949), Katamba (1993), dan O\u27Grady and Guzman (1996). Kemudian, dari pendekatan Semantik, penulis menerapkan teori tentang naming, concept, referent dan sense relation dari Palmer (1981) dan Chaer (1994). Selanjutnya, sebagai hasil dari analisis yang telah dilakukan, penulis menyimpulkan bahwa sebagian besar istilah dibentuk melalui proses derivasi dan sebagian lainnya dibentuk melalui proses endocentric compounding dan proses konversi. Selain itu, penulis memeroleh bahwa pelekatan akhiran –ing dan –ed pada verb dapat membentuk kata baru melalui proses derivasi karena pelekatan akhiran –ing merubah kelas kata verb menjadi adjective atau noun dan pelekatan akhiran –ed merubah kelas kata verb menjadi adjective

    The Relative Effectiveness of the Kurapunctur and Point Local Abdomen Acupuncture Therapy in the Reduction of Waist Circumference in Obese Patients

    Background: Obesity is a pathological state as a result of the consumption of food that is far exceeding the needs (psychobiological cues for eating) so there is hoarding an excessive fat than is necessary for bodily functions. Obesity can raise cholesterol level, triglyceride level, insulin resistance, and the risk of high blood pressure, coronary heart disease, ischemic stroke, and type 2 diabetes mellitus. Acupuncture therapy may be an option to handle problems related to obesity, one with abdominal acupuncture techniques. This study aimed to determinethe effectiveness of kurapunctur and point local abdomen acupuncture therapy accompanied by a low calorie and fat diet in the reduction of waist circumference in obese patients. Subjects and Method: This was a quasi experiment conducted at Kusuma Husada clinic, Surakarta, Central Java, from July to August 2017. A sample of 32 obesity patients was allocated into two groups: (1) The experiment group who received kurapuncture therapy, (2) The control group who received acupuncture therapy in the local point of the abdomen. Acupuncture therapy was carried out for 10 times. All of the study subjects received low calories and low fat diet. The dependent variable was waist circumference. The independent variable was abdominal acupuncture therapy. Waist circumference was measured by measuring tape. The data were analyzed by Mann-Whitney test. Results: The reduction in waist circumference is greater in the experiment group (mean= 22.9) than in the control group (mean= 10.1) with p< 0.001. Conclusion: Kurapuncture therapy is more effective than acupuncture therapy in the local point of the abdomen in reducing waist circumference in obese patients.     Hubungan Antara Dispepsia Fungsional Dengan Ansietas Dan Depresi Pada Remaja Awal Di Semarang

    Background: Early adolescent is one of the most important transition period at life where there is a change of physical, psychological, and social. Functional dyspepsia (FD) is a disorder of the stomach that is quite common in the community which can become a stressor for early adolescent.Objective: To determine the prevalence of FD, anxiety, depression and relationship between functional dyspepsia with anxiety and depression in early adolescence in Semarang.Methods: This study uses observational analytic with cross sectional study design. Subjects were 210 adolescents aged 10-14 years with dyspepsia from several elementary and junior high schools in Semarang. Subjects were then given informed consent, filled out personal data, filled out the Rome III Functional Dyspepsia questionnaire, Screen for Children Anxiety Related Emotional Disorders, child (SCARED-C) questionnaire and Children's Depression Inventory (CDI) questionnaire. The relationship analysis was calculated using Chi-square test or Fisher's exact test as an alternative test.Results: The prevalence of FD was 2.4%, anxiety was 41.9% and depression was 5.2%. p=0.402 was obtained for relationship between FD with anxiety and p=1.000 for FD with depression. p=0.017 was obtained for relationship between nausea with depression.Conclusions: There was no significant relationship between functional dyspepsia with anxiety and depression.     Red dragon fruit in yoghurt may incrase fermentation rate. This reasearch was to determine the influence of the proportion of red dragon fruit juice and UHT milk on viability of bacteria and yoghurt acidity. The experimental design used Randomized Block Design (RBD) with single factors, proportion of fresh juice and UHT milk 0:100 (M0), 5:95 (M1), 10:90 (M2), 15:85 (M3) 20:80 (M4) 25:75 (M5). The analyzed parameters were viability of bacteria, pH, and acidity of yoghurt. Obtained data statistically analyzed by ANOVA (Analysis of Varians) at α = 5%. If there was a significant difference, then it continued by DMRT (Duncan's Multiple Range Test) test to determine which level of proportion that gives significant differences. The difference in the proportion of red dragon fruit juice and UHT milk was significantly effect to the viability of bacteria, pH and total acid of yoghurt. The higher proportion of red dragon fruit juice increased viability of bacteria and total acid while pH decreased.     The purpose of this research is to determine and explain the factors that formed Experiential Marketing, and determine the influence of the factors that formed Experiential Marketing toward Customer Loyalty. This research is an explanatory reseacrh with quantitative methods. The variables used in this study are experiential marketing that divided into Sense, Feel, Think, Act, Relate and Customer Loyalty. The population in this study is Customers Legend Coffee Malang who have visited Legend Coffee Malang at least twice and at least 17 years old. The sampling technique that use in this research is purposive sampling and data collection method by questionnaire that distributed to 113 respondents. Analysis method of data use factor analysis and multiple regression analysis. The analysis in this study resulted five factors that formed Experiential Marketing consist of Feel, Act, Sense, Relate, and Think. The five factor showed that have significant effect together and partially toward Customer Loyalty. The result of multiple regression analysis showed that Think Factor has dominant influence toward Customer Loyalt

    Preferensi Petani Terhadap Sistem Tanam Padi Jajar Legowo (Studi Kasus Di Desa Tambakrejo Kecamatan Patebon Kabupaten Kendal)

    Paddy is the main food source for most of the population of Indonesia. The paddy crop harvested area in Patebon District in 2011 reached 2.334,47 Ha with a production of 15.603,97 tons. In Tambakrejo Village, the paddy crop harvested area in 2011 reached 132,50 Ha with a production of 861,25 tons. The purpose of this study was to determine the farmer preferences of jajar legowo paddy cropping system. The research used the descriptive method and the research location was selected by purposive method. The research location was Tambakrejo Village because farmer in thats village generally used jajar legowo cropping system. The farmer samplings were determined randomly, which was in a number of 90 respondents. The research used the tabulation analysis method and chi-square analysis. The result of this study showed that most farmers apply jajar legowo paddy cropping system with a percentage 63%, it's mean that jajar legowo paddy cropping system have a high preferences in Tambakrejo Village. Farmer selected jajar legowo paddy cropping system because this system can facilitate the proses of fertilization, weeding and pest control, but it's not profitable economically. This is because farmers in Tambakrejo Village do not implement the rule of recommended planting system so the production is not optimal and do not give enhancement in profits.     Mengungkapkan bahwa audit internal adalah aktivitas independen, keyakinan objektif, dan kondisi yang di rancang untuk menambah nilai dan meningkatkan operasi dan tujuan organisasi. Audit internal mambantu organisasi mencapai tujuannya melalui pendekatan yang sistematik dan disiplin ilmu untuk mengevaluasi dan meningkatkan efektivitas manajemen resiko, pengendalian, dan proses tata kelola Messier(2005). Berdasarkan definisi diatas bahwa audit internal sangat berperan bagi manajemen yang telah menerapkan pengendalian intern yang merupakan bagian dari suatu Perusahaan. Perusahaan Daerah Air Minum (PDAM) Kabupaten Blitar ada lima 5 indikator audit internal yang di terapkan yaitu Independensi, Kemampuan Profesional, Lingkup Pekerjaan, Pelaksanaan Kegiatan dan Manajemen Bagian Audit. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah auditor yang bekerja pada Perusahaan Daerah Air Minum (PDAM) Kabupaten Blitar. dengan kriteria tertentu, sehingga menghasilkan sebanyak 35 sampel. Teknik analisis yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah korelasi model pearson, yang sebelumnya dilakukan uji validitas, reabilitas atas data yang telah diperoleh melalui penyebaran kuesioner. Hasil analisis menunjiukan bahwa audit internal tidak signifikan terhadap good corporate governance pada Peusahaan Daerah Air Minum (PDAM) Kabupaten Blitar

    Pengetahuan, Deteksi Dini dan Vaksinasi HPV sebagai Faktor Pencegah Kanker Serviks di Kabupaten Sukoharjo

    Penyakit non menular yang cukup mengkhawatirkan masyarakat terutama kaum wanita adalah kanker serviks. Perjalanan penyakit kanker yang sangat lambat sebenarnya pada stadium awal prakanker dapat diketahui dengan melakukan deteksi dini papsmear dan dapat dicegah dengan melakukan vaksinasi. Data di rumah sakit Kabupaten Sukoharjo, mulai tahun 2011 sampai 2013 selalu terdapat kejadian kanker serviks meskipun jumlahnya berfluktuatif. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara pengetahuan, deteksi dini papsmear dan vaksinasi HPV dengan kejadian kanker serviks. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian observasional dengan rancangan case control study. Populasi adalah seluruh pasien wanita yang tercatat di bangsal VK RSUD Sukoharjo sejak bulan Januari 2012 sampai bulan September 2013 yaitu sebanyak 759 orang. Sampel kasus diambil secara total dari kasus penderita kanker serviks di RSUD Kabupaten Sukoharjo hingga bulan September 2013 sebanyak 32 orang, sedangkan sampel kontrol diambil dengan jumlah yang sama secara simple random sampling dari pasien obgyn yang berada di ruang perawatan Bougenville RSUD Kabupaten Sukoharjo. Analisis data menggunakan uji Chy square dan Fisher Exact dan estimasi nilai OR dengan bantuan program SPSS di laboratorium komputer fakultas ilmu kesehatan Univrsitas Muhammadiyah Surakarta. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan antara perilaku deteksi dini pap smear dengan kejadian kanker serviks, tidak ada hubungan antara pengetahuan dengan kejadian kanker serviks, serta tidak ada hubungan antara vaksinasi HPV dengan kejadian kanker serviks. Perilaku deteksi dini dengan papsmear dan vaksinasi belum terbukti sebagai factor pencegah kanker serviks.Saran bagi wanita perlu mencari informasi yang benar tentang kanker serviks sehingga dapat melakukan upaya pencegahan dengan caramenghindari faktor risiko. Bagi petugas kesehatan memberikan sosialisasi tentang kanker serviks kepada masyarakat, agar masyarakat mempunyai pemahaman yang benar, mau melakukan deteksi dini dan melakukan vaksinasi HPV pelayanan kesehatan

    Jackfruit seeds can be processed to a powder, starch, or extracted. Jackfruit seeds extract is simply processed from jackfruit seeds, its stages are shelling beans, boiling, extraction, and filtration. The utilization of jackfruit seeds extract in ice cream making is still unknown about how precisely the concentration of Na-CMC so it will produce a good quality of jackfruit seed extract ice cream. This is because there are some components in jackfruit seed extract that can bind water like starch and soluble fibers so hopefully the addition of Na-CMC can be reduced. In this study, a Randomized Blocked Design is used. A concentration Na-CMC (0.5%, 0.75%, 1%, 1.25%, 1.5%), used as a factor and each treatment was repeated five times. Testing parameters includes the physicochemical properties (viscosity, overrun, total solids and the rate of melting) and organoleptic (test preference for softness of the ice crystals and rate of melting in the mouth). Furthermore, the data obtained were analyzed statistically using ANOVA test (Analysis of Variance) at = 5% and DMRT (Duncan\u27s Multiple Range Test) with = 5%. Weighting test is also performed to determine which treatment is the best. The addition of various concentrations of Na-CMC gave a significantly different effect on the viscosity, overrun, total solids, the rate of melting, and organoleptic. The higher the concentration of Na-CMC viscosity, overrun, total solids increased, and the lower the rate of melting. Ice cream with jackfruit seed extract concentration of 1.25% Na-CMC most preferred to the softness of the ice crystals in the mouth, while the seeds of jackfruit ice cream sari with Na-CMC concentration of 0.75% preferred to melting in the mouth. Based on the weighting test, treatment of jackfruit seed ice cream sari with the addition of 1.25% Na-CMC is the best treatment
