Multipion decays of omega(782) and phi(1020)

Using the chiral model of pseudoscalar, vector, and axial vector mesons based on the hidden local symmetry added with the terms induced by the Wess-Zumino anomaly, the results of calculations of the branching fractions of the decays omega(782) and phi(1020) mesons to the 2pi+ 2pi- pi0, pi+ pi -3pi0 multipion states are presented.Comment: 4 pages. On Improved Estimation of Population Mean using Qualitative Auxiliary Information

This paper deals with the estimation of population mean of the variable under study by improved ratio-product type exponential estimator using qualitative auxiliary information. The expression for the bias and mean squared error (MSE) of the proposed estimators has been derived to the first order of approximation. A comparative approach has been adopted to study the efficiency of proposed and previous estimators. The present estimators provide us significant improvement over previous estimators leading to the better perspective of application in various applied areas. On the order of a non-abelian representation group of a slim dense near hexagon

We show that, if the representation group $R$ of a slim dense near hexagon $S$ is non-abelian, then $R$ is of exponent 4 and $|R|=2^{\beta}$, $1+NPdim(S)\leq \beta\leq 1+dimV(S)$, where $NPdim(S)$ is the near polygon embedding dimension of $S$ and $dimV(S)$ is the dimension of the universal representation module $V(S)$ of $S$. Further, if $\beta =1+NPdim(S)$, then $R$ is an extraspecial 2-group (Theorem 1.6)

The ship recycling conundrum: an econometric analysis of market dynamics and industry trends

Ship recycling has received considerable attention during the last two decades for a variety of reasons and the industry is currently under a thorough scrutiny with the likelihood of the adoption of a new multilateral convention under the auspices of the International Maritime Organization (IMO). This study applies econometric modeling to a unique dataset to provide a holistic insight into the dynamics of the ship recycling market. The dataset contains information on 51,112 ships over 100 gt and includes 748,621 events over a period of 29 years. The binary logistic regression models used provide insights for a shipping-related sector that has received scant scholarly attention in the past. It is expected that these contributions will provide empirical support for the ongoing IMO discussions in this important field
