Pendekatan, strategi, metode, dan teknik pembelajaran yang akan dan/atau sedang digunakan dapat diketahui dari langkah-langkah pembelajaran yang telah tersusun dan/atau sedang terjadi. Pendekatan pembelajaran adalah cara umum dalam memandang pembelajaran. Sedangkan strategi pembelajaran adalah ilmu dan kiat di dalam memanfaatkan segala sumber belajar yang dimiliki dan/atau yang dapat dikerahkan untuk mencapai tujuan pembelajaran yang telah ditetapkan. Metode mengajar adalah berbagai cara kerja yang bersifat relatif umum yang sesuai untuk mencapai tujuan pembelajaran tertentu dan teknik pembelajaran adalah ragam khas penerapan suatu metode sesuai dengan latar penerapan tertentu. Teknik pembelajaran mengambarkan langkah-langkah penggunaan metode mengajar yang sifatnya lebih operasional. Faktor-faktor yang perlu diperhatikan dalam penentuan teknik pembelajaran di antaranya adalah kemampuan dan kebiasaan guru, ketersedian sarana dan waktu, serta kesiapan siswa.     The advent of democracy in South Africa has brought about fundamental changes in the spheres of governance. One of these changes is the transformation of the public service. One of the constitutional imperatives of the country requires all government departments to be representative. The Department of Defence and in particular, the South African Navy (SA Navy) as part of the public service, is also expected to transform to ensure representivity. The SA Navy is not yet representative, specifically in terms of the African composition. The study seeks to establish the extent and knowledge of black youth about careers in the SA Navy. To achieve this, a questionnaire was circulated to various schools for completion. The findings indicate that black youth, specifically those from rural areas are unaware of the available career opportunities in the SA Navy.     The structure-catalytic activity relationship for the transient layered zeolite MCM-56 with MWW topology

    Zeolite MCM-56 is a high alumina, monolayered form of the commercially useful framework MWW but it is a transient product during crystallization, so many factors influence its state and quality. This work examines properties of a series of MCM-56 and MCM-49 samples synthesized for different times using Aerosil, Ultrasil and Ludox as silica sources, hexamethyleneimine as the structure directing agent and additionally aniline as structure promoting agent. It was found that the most important parameter, governing the catalytic activity in the test reaction of Friedel-Crafts alkylation of mesitylene with benzyl alcohol, was availability of the Brønsted acid centers located at the external surfaces of the crystals. The key role in correlating physical characteristic with activity was played by infrared spectroscopy as it enabled the study of many properties of the tested materials, starting from the total concentration of acid centers, and their type (Brønsted or Lewis acids) through the concentration of centers available for the reagent molecules, to investigating the correlation of acidity with the degree of zeolite crystallinity

Ge-rich IWW (Si/Ge=3.1) is disassembled into a layered material (IPC-5P), which can be reassembled into an almost pure silica IWW on treatment with diethoxydimethylsilane. Ge-poor IWW (Si/Ge=6.4) is not completely disassembled on hydrolysis, but retains some 3D connectivity. This structure can be reassembled into IWW by incorporation of Al to fill the defects left when the Ge is removed.Publisher PDFPeer reviewe

    POSSIBILITY FOR REFINERY NOVI SAD UNITS RECONSTRUCTION FOR HYDROGENATED VEGETABLE OIL PRODUCTION

    The aim of the project is to design and construct the processing unit including necessary logistic facility capable to treat vegetable oils, sludge from eatable oils production, used cooking oil for production of renewable diesel (RD) component – hydrogenated vegetable oil (HVO). HVO meets CEN Technical Specification TS 15940:2012 [1] for paraffinic diesel thus may be blended into diesel fuel without any limit (except density); no special labeling at fuel retail stations is required. The proposal emphasizes the usage of the existing refining technology for proposed HVO production process, maximizing usage possibility of the existing units and/or equipment in Novi Sad refinery. The plant of 150 000 t/y has been considered, with hydro-treatment and hydro-isomerization as the two main processing units, with distillation section at its end maximizing renewable diesel production. This production also provides approx. 37 500 t/y of valuable by-products (bio-C1/C2, bio-LPG, bio-naphtha, bio-jet). The technology evaluation shows that the viability of the HVO project is strongly dependent on the availability of raw materials, their prices and purchase conditions

    Hypercholesterolemia During Pregnancy is Caused by Increased Endogenous Cholesterol Synthesis: Let's Use it for Screening of Familial Hypercholesterolemias Too!

    Abstract: Aims: To demonstrate the origin and the diagnostic significance of non-cholesterol sterols (NCSs) in healthy pregnant women with gestational hypercholesterolemia. Patients and Methods: Based on a total of 21,000 clinical biochemistry tests of healthy pregnant women with hypercholesterolemia observed during pregnancy, a group of 84 women with TC (total cholesterol) >7.0 mmol/L was recruited to analyze their NCSs using Gas Chromatography–Mass Spectrometry. The NCSs under examination comprised lathosterol (Lat) and desmosterol (Des) as markers of endogenous cholesterol synthesis, and campesterol (Cam) and sitosterol (Sit) as markers for intestinal absorption. Results: In the total of 21,000 pregnant women, the median values were: TC 6.8 mol/l, LDL-C 4.6 mmol/L, and HDL-C 2.2 mmol/L. In the testing group of 84 women, the average values were: Lat 7.8+/-1.7 μmol/L, Des 4.7+/-0.9 μmol/L, Cam 9.8+/-2.6 μmol/L, and Sit 9.6 +/-3.8 μmol/L. Lat was found to correlate with TC (r = 0.53), LDL-C (r = 0.36), and non-HDL-C (r = 0.35). No such correlations were observed for Sit (r = 0.162) or Cam (r = 0.153). Conclusion: Our findings show that the high incidence of hypercholesterolemia during pregnancy is caused by increased endogenous cholesterol synthesis via lathosterol. The enormous rise of TC levels during pregnancy can be effectively used to detect familial hypercholesterolemia in women
