Ulam's problem

In this bachelor's thesis we deal with Ulam's problem. In the first chapter, we introduce the basic definitions and the axiomatic theory of ZF extended by the Axiom of Choice; we also formulate and prove the Lemma that will be used for the proofs in the second and third chapters. In the second and third chapters, we prove that, assuming the Continuum Hypothesis holds, the Ulam's problem has a positive solution, and assuming the Full Measure Extension Axiom holds, the Ulam's problem has a negative solution. We carry out both proofs with a high degree of detail. Finally, in chapter four, we prove that the generalized Ulam's problem for sets with cardinality greater than that of the real numbers always has a negative solution. 1V této bakalářské práci se zabýváme Ulamovým problémem. V první kapitole zavedeme základní definice, uvedeme axiomatickou teorii ZF rozšířenou o Axiom výběru, zformulujeme a dokážeme Lemma, které nám bude sloužit k důkazům ve druhé a třetí kapitole. Ve druhé a třetí kapitole dokážeme, že za předpokladu, že platí Hypotéza kontinua, tak Ulamův problém má pozitivní řešení, a za předpokladu platnosti Axiomu rozšíření míry má Ulamův problém negativní řešení. Oba důkazy provedeme s vysokou mírou podrobnosti. Risk analysis of a business project

Předložená diplomová práce je zaměřena na analýzu rizik v konkrétním podniku. V úvodu je představena společnost, ve které je diplomová práce zpracovávána. Základním bodem práce je zpracování střednědobého strategického plánu a provedení analýzy podnikatelského prostředí. Na základě těchto dvou částí jsou identifikovány a ohodnoceny rizikové faktory působící na budoucí aktivity ve vybraném podniku. Následuje část obsahující základní strategické scénáře, která udává možný směr ve vývoji rizikových faktorů. Pro rizika, jejichž negativní dopad, může způsobit podniku rozsáhlé problémy, jsou v závěru práce navržena opatření pro jejich eliminaci.ObhájenoThis diploma thesis is focused on risk analysis in a particular company. The prologue introduces the company in which is the thesis elaborated. Fundamental point of this thesis is a medium-term strategic plan and an analysis of of the business environment. Based on these two parts are identified and assessed risk factors affecting future activities in selected company. Followed by a section containing basic strategic scenarios, which indicates a possible direction in the development of risk factors. For risks whose negative impact could cause the company extensive problems are in conclusion proposed measures for their elimination

Brand Building of Freestyle Brands on the Example of Quiksilver

Bakalářská práce "Brand building freestylových značek na příkladu Quiksilver" pojednává o značce Quiksilver, jejím vzniku, postupném vývoji, globálním působení, příchodu na český trh a její marketingové strategii na tomto trhu. Nejprve je nastíněna problematika fenoménu freestylových značek, jejich vývoje a kulturního prostředí, ve kterém vznikaly. Je zde zaveden termín "freestylová značka" a vysvětlen jeho význam. Dále se práce věnuje historii značky Quiksilver a jejímu světovému významu, od vzniku prvních šortek Quiksilver v australském Torquayi po přesun do kalifornské Huntington Beach a následné globální expanzi. Značka Quiksilver byla původně malou lokální firmou a postupně se vyvíjela a rozšiřovala svou produktovou řadu natolik, až se z ní stala jedna z největších nadnárodní společností na poli freestylových značek. Práce se dále zabývá marketingovými aktivitami značky na globálním i českém trhu, na kterém se objevuje zhruba od roku 1991. Popisuje současně pořádané události, reklamu i komunikaci v místě prodeje a zároveň je hodnotí. V této práci byla použita metoda deskriptivní analýzy a současně je zde uveden také výzkum oblíbenosti značky mezi mladou českou generací pomocí elektronického dotazníku. V závěru je hodnocena strategie značky Quiksilver a její úspěšnost na českém trhu na základě...The diploma thesis "Brand Building of Freestyle Brands on the Example of Quiksilver" deals with the brand Quiksilver, its origin, development, global agency, its place on the Czech market and marketing strategies. The first part of this thesis covers the issues incorporated within the market of freestyle brands, their development and cultural environment in which they were formed. Furthermore, the term "freestyle brand" is introduced and its meaning is explained. In addition, a historical background of Quiksilver is provided. The brand's global importance is also described, starting with the sewing of the first shorts of Quiksilver in Torquay, Australia and moving to Huntington Beach, California, and subsequent global expansion. Quiksilver was originally a small local company, and gradually developed and expanded its product line to become one of the largest multinational companies in the field of freestyle brands. This thesis depicts Quicksilver's marketing activities on the global and the Czech market, where it has been around since 1991. Společenské konvence v dílech Edith Wharton

This bachelor paper is concerned with Edith Wharton, an American author of the late 19th and early 20th century, and the society she was born into. The aim of the paper is to analyze the social conventions of the New York upper classes as reflected in Wharton’s novels. At the beginning of the paper, the life of Edith Wharton is described briefly and also the summaries of the novels researched are mentioned. The body of the paper focuses on the social conventions controlling the life of upper-class New Yorkers. It also deals with the position of a woman in elite circles and the opinion of its members on marriage as well as adultery and divorce. Subsequently, leisure time of the upper classes is discussed, with ball and opera events being described in greater detail. The paper is based on Wharton’s works The House of Mirth, The Custom of the Country, The Age of Innocence and a number of relevant secondary sources.Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá Edith Whartonovou, americkou spisovatelkou konce 19. a začátku 20. století, a společností, do které se narodila. Cílem je analyzovat sociální konvence vyšší společenské třídy žijící v New Yorku a jejich odraz v románech Edith Whartonové. Na začátku práce je stručně popsán život autorky, stejně jako stručné děje zkoumaných románů. Jádro práce se zabývá sociálními konvencemi, které ovládaly životy newyorských horních vrstev. Dále se práce zabývá pozicí ženy v této společnosti a názorem na sňatek, nevěru a rozvod. Poté se zaměřuje na způsob, jakým trávily horní vrstvy volný čas, s důrazem na plesy a opery. Předmětem bakalářské práce "Ekonomika malého a středního podniku s přihlédnutím k využití vhodných nástrojů podpory podnikání" je zpracování podnikatelského plánu konkrétního podniku. The use of Propriomed and Flexi-Bar in Physiotherapy

Tato práce nás seznamuje s kmitacími tyčemi Propriomed a Flexi-Bar. Je rozdělena na teoretickou a praktickou část. Teoretická část je věnována problematice hlubokého stabilizačního systému a možnostem jeho testování dle Koláře, dále jsou zde uvedeny základní poznatky o tyčích Propriomed a Flexi-Bar, vibracích a svalové únavě, v neposlední řadě je popsána technika cvičení s těmito tyčemi. Praktická část sleduje vliv pravidelného cvičení s kmitacími tyčemi na hluboký stabilizační systém u dvou rozdílných skupin klientů. Porovnáním vstupního a výstupního vyšetření byl potvrzen pozitivní vliv pravidelného cvičení s těmito tyčemi na hluboký stabilizační systém a potažmo i na bolesti zad. V poslední části je uvedena modelová cvičební jednotka včetně fotodokumentace. V závěrečné diskuzi jsou rozebrány jednotlivé hypotézy a porovnána praxe s teorií.ObhájenoThis thesis offers an introduction to the usage of the Propriomed and Flexi-Bar swing bars. It is devided into a theoretical and a practical part. The theoretical part deals primarily with the deep stabilization system and the possibilities of its testing, stated by Kolář. The basic knowledge about Propriomed and Flexi-Bar bars, vibrations and muscle fatigue are introduced in this part of the thesis and the author provides detailed description and explanation of the swing bars exercise techniques. The practical part aims at exploring the influence of regular swing bar exercise on deep stabilization system. Two different types of clients were used for the observation. By comparing the entering and the final examination, the positive effect of regular exercise with the Propriomed and Flexi-Bar bars on the stabilization system and consequently on releasing the back pain, was confirmed. The last section provides a model exercise unit including photographs. The final debate addresses separately each hypotheses and the theory with the practical knowledge is being compared
