Bakalářská práce se zabývá návrhem a posouzením ocelové konstrukce zastřešení plaveckého bazénu. Rozpětí nosné konstrukce zastřešení je 40,00 m, délky 50,00 m, výška 10,53 m. Hlavní konstrukční materiál je ocel S355 a S235. Byly porovnány 2 varianty, z toho jedna byla vypracována podrobně. Je vypracován statický výpočet hlavních nosných částí konstrukce včetně spojů a vybraných detailů. Nosnou konstrukci zastřešení tvoří v příčném směru polygonálně lomená příhradová konstrukce z ocelových kruhových trubek. This bachelor thesis describes the design and assessment of steel structure of the swimming pool roof. The supporting structure of hall has 40.00 meters span, 50.00 m length and 10.53 m height. Main construction material is steel, grade S355 and S235. There were compared 2 possible variants of the roofing, and one of them was calculated in detail. There is developed a static analysis of the main load-bearing parts of the structure, including joints and selected details. The supporting structure of roofing consists of the polygonal wrapped lattice structure made of steel circular in the transverse direction.

UNLABELLED: β-turns are the most common type of non-repetitive structures, and constitute on average 25% of the amino acids in proteins. The formation of β-turns plays an important role in protein folding, protein stability and molecular recognition processes. In this work we present the neural network method NetTurnP, for prediction of two-class β-turns and prediction of the individual β-turn types, by use of evolutionary information and predicted protein sequence features. It has been evaluated against a commonly used dataset BT426, and achieves a Matthews correlation coefficient of 0.50, which is the highest reported performance on a two-class prediction of β-turn and not-β-turn. Furthermore NetTurnP shows improved performance on some of the specific β-turn types. In the present work, neural network methods have been trained to predict β-turn or not and individual β-turn types from the primary amino acid sequence. The individual β-turn types I, I', II, II', VIII, VIa1, VIa2, VIba and IV have been predicted based on classifications by PROMOTIF, and the two-class prediction of β-turn or not is a superset comprised of all β-turn types. The performance is evaluated using a golden set of non-homologous sequences known as BT426. Our two-class prediction method achieves a performance of: MCC=0.50, Qtotal=82.1%, sensitivity=75.6%, PPV=68.8% and AUC=0.864. We have compared our performance to eleven other prediction methods that obtain Matthews correlation coefficients in the range of 0.17-0.47. For the type specific β-turn predictions, only type I and II can be predicted with reasonable Matthews correlation coefficients, where we obtain performance values of 0.36 and 0.31, respectively. CONCLUSION: The NetTurnP method has been implemented as a webserver, which is freely available at http://www.cbs.dtu.dk/services/NetTurnP/. NetTurnP is the only available webserver that allows submission of multiple sequences

Comparative analysis of India and China focused on the economic and political development

    No full text
1 Abstract This thesis provides an extensive comparative analysis of India and China. This analysis may be divided into two parts. The first one deals with the political development and the contemporary political situation in these countries, and the second one focuses on the economic development and the present state of the economy. The first part of the first chapter examines the political development of China. It is focused on the history in the 19th and the 20th century and it shows that it was quite turbulent after the fall of the feudalism. It concludes with the period after the death of Mao. The second part of the first chapter talks about the political development in India, mainly while India was a British colony. Second chapter provides a comparative analysis of the contemporary political systems in India and China. It shows that in India the citizens are able to influence the politics more than in China. With the third chapter, the second part of the thesis begins. The third chapter analyzes the development of the Chinese economy especially since 1980s. That is when the Chinese government started to implement substantial economic changes into the system. These changes have changed the planned economy of China to something what resembles very closely the market economy. The fourth chapter is..

Use Of Synthetic Peptides To Map Sequential Epitopes Recognized By Monoclonal-Antibodies On The Bovine Leukemia-Virus External Glycoprotein

Six sequential epitopes (A, B, B', D, D', E) were previously defined on the bovine leukemia virus (BLV) envelope glycoprotein gp51 by their reactivity with monoclonal antibodies. A panel of synthetic peptides covering almost the entire sequence of gp51 was tested in enzyme-linked immunosorbent assays in order to localize these epitopes. E was shown to be included in peptide 142-161 (MCF4), B and B' in peptide 195-205, D and D' in peptide 218-237 (MCF6), and A in peptide 249-268 (MCF7). These results extend and confirm previous observations suggesting that the sequential epitopes recognized by our battery of monoclonal antibodies are located in the carboxylic half of BLV gp51.info:eu-repo/semantics/publishe
