Integration of cloud services with Invenio digital library

Project Specification: Connect Invenio digital library with popular cloud storage services such as Google Drive, Dropbox and Sky Drive. Abstract: Cloudutils is a standalone python module which provides an interface to popular cloud storage services (e.g. Google Drive, Skydrive…). It is built on top of the PyFilesystem module. In this project Cloudutils module was developed and used to connect Invenio digital library and popular cloud storage services

On Landau\u27s type inequalities for infinitesimal generators

We consider Landau\u27s type inequalities of the form [|A^k u|^nleq C_{n,k}|u|^{n-k}|A^n u|^k,;;;uin D(A^n),;;;0<k<n,] where A is the infinitesimal generator of either a strongly continuous semigroup or a strongly continuous cosine function of linear contractions on a Banach space X. The constants C_{n,k} are computed for n ≤ 6

THE HRVATSKA MATICA ISELJENIKA (CROATIAN HERITAGE FOUNDATION): 1964 TO 1968

U četverogodišnjem razdoblju 1964. - 1968. Matica iseljenika Hrvatske razvija značajnu djelatnost u povezivanju domovinske i iseljene Hrvatske. Nastale promjene dijelom su bile vezane uz pojavu poboljšane državne politike prema iseljeništvu početkom 1960-ih, a dijelom uz dolazak novog predsjednika Društva, Većeslava Holjevca.The Croatian Heritage Foundation was founded on 12 February 1951 in Zagreb as a cultural-educational society with the intention of maintaining cultural and friendly relations between the emigrant community and the homeland. In the period between 1964 and 1968, the Foundation developed a very important activity in connecting the homeland with Croatian emigrants. At that time, a qualitative change in its work became apparent in its approach to the then current issue of economic emigration and the creation of links with members of the Croat nation in European lands. The changes that took place were in part tied to the melioration of government policies toward emigrants at the beginning of the 1960s, and in part to the arrival of a new president of the Foundation, Većeslav Holjevac. During the term of his presidency, events occurred for which Holjevac was investigated by the Party, resulting ultimately in his departure from Croatian political life in 1967. What spurred the investigations was the appearance of the Deklaracija o nazivu i položaju hrvatskog književnog jezika [the Declaration concerning the name and status of the Croatian literary language] in March 1967, when in party debates, the Croatian Heritage Foundation, along with the Matica Hrvatska [Croatian Cultural Foundation], the Društvo književnika Hrvatske [Society of Croatian writers], and the Institut za historiju radničkog pokreta [Institute for the history of the workers’ movement] were designated “hotbeds of nationalism”

A note on the root subspaces of real semisimple Lie algebras

In this note we prove that for any two restricted roots $alpha,$ $beta$ of a real semisimple Lie algebra $gg,$ such that $alpha+betanot=0,$ the corresponding root subspaces satisfy $[gg_{alpha},gg_{beta}]=gg_{alpha+beta}$

Weird K-actions on U(g) for so(n,1) and su(n,1)

Let g0 be either so(n, 1) or su(n, 1), g its complexification, K a maximal compact subgroup of the adjoint group of g0, U(g) the universal enveloping algebra of g and U(g)K its subalgebra of K-invariants. A consequence of our results in [2] is that besides the usual adjoint action of K on U(g) there is another action of K commuting with the adjoint action and leaving U(g)K pointwise invariant. The case g0 = so(2, 1) ≃ su(1, 1) is trivial since K is commutative and the weird action of K coincides with the inverse of adjoint action. We investigate closely the weird action of K in the simplest nontrivial case g0 = so(3, 1)

Rehabilitacijska medicina i palijativna skrb bolesnika s rakom dojke

Breast cancer is the most common cancer aff ecting women worldwide. It represents a huge burden not only for individuals but also for their families and their societies. Early diagnosis and multidisciplinary approach to the treatment increases the survival rate. However, treatment can be intensive and may result in comorbid conditions which decrease the quality of life. Rehabilitation medicine and palliative care have a huge role regarding the impact of breast cancer and its’ treatment on patient’s quality of life. Studies have shown a correlation between the quality of life and survival rates. This results in the necessity to include rehabilitation medicine and palliative care in the complex treatment of breast cancer patients from the beginning of the disease to the end of life.Rak dojke je najučestaliji rak u žena diljem svijeta. Predstavlja veliki teret ne samo za bolesnike nego i za njihove obitelji i društvenu zajednicu. Ranim otkrivanjem i multidisciplinarnim pristupom u liječenju povećava se stopa preživljenja. Međutim, liječenje može biti intenzivno s posljedičnim nuspojavama koje smanjuju kvalitetu života. Rehabilitacija i palijativna skrb imaju veliku ulogu glede utjecaja bolesti i liječenja na kvalitetu života bolesnika. Studije upućuju na korelaciju između kvalitete života i stope preživljenja. Sve to rezultira potrebom za uključivanjem rehabilitacije i palijativne skrbi u kompleksno liječenje raka dojke od početka bolesti do kraja života
