Aim of investigation. To estimate state of the pancreas in patients with combined trauma, to detect signs of traumatic pancreatitis.Material and methods. Analysis of ultrasound data in 680 patients with combined trauma was carried out. In 57 patients (42 men and 15 women, age 20 to 56 years) signs of traumatic pancreatitis of various severity were revealed at US examination. Patients were divided into two groups: the first group — 32 patients had combined trauma, including closed injury of the abdomen, the second group — 25 patients who in late terms after trauma revealed signs of acute pancreatitis on a background of developing multiorgan failure. Investigations was carried out at middle class ultrasound devices with 3,5 mHz convex probe.Results. In patients with combined trauma and closed injury of the abdomen signs of acute pancreatitis emerged, as a rule, on the 1–7 day after the moment of trauma. All forms of acute pancreatitis, including suppurative complications requiring miniinvasive intervention with US guidance: punctures and drainages in these patients were followed up at dynamic US-study. In patients of the second group signs of acute pancreatitis were revealed at 2–3 week on a background of progressing multiorgan failure.Conclusions. Traumatic pancreatitis in patients with combined trauma develops both due to direct damage of the pancreas, and as a result of developing multiorgan failure. Dynamic US-study allows to reveal in due time signs of acute pancreatitis as well as complications. Pancreatic changes may be considered as developing dysfunction of the organ at multiorgan failure

Optical properties of hollow-core revolver fibers are numerically investigated depending on various parameters: the hollow-core diameter, the capillary wall thickness, the values of the minimum gap between the capillaries, the number of capillaries in the cladding and the type of glass (silica and chalcogenide). Preliminary, similar calculations are made for simple models of hollow-core fibers. Based on the obtained results, the optimal design of the revolver fiber for Raman laser frequency conversion (1.56 μm → 4.4 μm in 1H2) was determined. As a result, efficient ns-pulsed 4.42 μm Raman laser based on 1H2-filled revolver silica fiber is realized. Quantum efficiency as high as 36 % is achieved and output average power as high as 250 mW is demonstrated

This study was aimed to establish the effect of a fodder protein supplement from minced subcutaneous epithelium of farm animals on hematological, biochemical parameters of metabolism and milk productivity of high-yielding cows during the early lactation. For this, three groups of cows, six animals each, were formed according to the principle of analogous pairs. The control group received the main diet, the second and third experimental groups were daily fed with 300 g and 500 g of protein supplement for 60 days in addition to the main diet, respectively. The effect of prolongation of the supplement was studied over the next 30 days. Hematological and biochemical blood parameters, qualitative and quantitative composition of milk were studied in all animals. The animals of the experimental groups showed an increase in metabolic and redox processes during the experiment. An increase in the metabolism of nutrients in the liver has been found. Due to the sufficient intake of protein in the organism of animals, there was an increase in milk productivity and milk quality indicators.

The development of fast algorithms for key generation, encryption and decryption not only increases the efficiency of related operations. Such fast algorithms, for example, for asymmetric cryptosystems on quasi-cyclic codes, make it possible to experimentally study the dependence of decoding failure rate on code parameters for small security levels and to extrapolate these results to large values of security levels. In this article, we explore efficient cyclic convolution algorithms, specifically designed, among other things, for use in encoding and decoding algorithms for quasi-cyclic LDPC and MDPC codes. Corresponding convolutions operate on binary vectors, which can be either sparse or dense. The proposed algorithms achieve high speed by compactly storing sparse vectors, using hardware-supported XOR instructions, and replacing modulo operations with specialized loop transformations. These fast algorithms have potential applications not only in cryptography, but also in other areas where convolutions are used.

Using our own data and data from the literature, we assessed the total biomass of the biotic component of the ecosystem of the Ivankovo Reservoir (Upper Volga, Russia), a eutrophic reservoir which is becoming overgrown with macrophytes. The biotic component of freshwater ecosystems is formed by communities of multicellular and unicellular organisms and viruses in the water layer (plankton) and bottom sediments (benthos) and also macrophytes and autotrophic and heterotrophic organisms growing on their surface (epiphyton). The biomass of the biotic component of the Ivankovo Reservoir equaled 39,853 tons С. Plankton, benthos and macrophytes with epiphyton equaled 3.6%, 41.6% and 54.8% of the total biomass respectively. We determined the contribution of higher aquatic plants, algae, cyanobacteria, heterotrophic bacteria, viruses, protozoans, multicellular invertebrates and fish to the formation of total biomass. The largest share was taken up by higher aquatic plants (54.5%). The second largest share was taken by heterotrophic bacteria (37.4%), most of which live in the bottom sediments. The high concentration of bacteria and invertebrates in the bottom sediments indicate significant provision of the organic substrates from the water column. The biomass of fish, the highest trophic link in the reservoir, equaled 15.0% of the biomass of their potential food substrates, invertebrate animals, and 0.7% of the total biomass of the biotic component. The greater part of the autochthonous organic compound in the reservoir is formed as a result of activity of phytoplankton, which provides 69.4% of total primary production of macrophytes, phytoepiphyton, phytoplankton and phytobenthos. The total primary production during the vegetation period was approximately forty times higher than the annual production of the fish. Currently, the share in the phytoplankton of large colonial cyanobacteria not consumed by zooplankton, the share of non-heterocystic species of cyanobacteria capable of heterotrophic feeding and the share of mixotrophic flagellates is increasing. Eutrophication of the reservoir is significantly stimulated by the development of macrophytes, and, presumably, the contribution of macrophytes to the total primary production of the reservoir will continue to increase
