Introduction. It was reported earlier that in children with spastic forms of cerebral palsy (SFCP) after two-week course of rehabilitation by the Kozyavkin method the neural component of muscle tone (NCMT) was reduced in 79,3% cases, while in 13,8% cases changes were not detected and in 2 children even increased. It was assumed that such a variety of changes in NCMT is due to differently directed changes in the background activity of the nerve centers. Objectives. To analyse the relationships between changes (Ch) in NCMT as well as manual functional tests on the one hand, and parameters of EEG, HRV and Gas Discharge Visualization (GDV) on the other one. Material and Methods. The object of observations were 14 children (6 girls and 8 boys) aged 8÷15 years with SFCP. The state of motor development at GMFCS was on II÷IV level. The functional status of the hand with MACS was on II÷III level. The estimation of hand function was carried out by Dynamometry (D), Box and Block Test (B&B) and Nine Hole Peg Test (NHP). NCMT was also registered by the device ‘NeuroFlexor’ (Aggero MedTech AB, Sweden), HRV and EEG were tested simultaneosly by the hardware-software complex ‘Cardiolab+VSR’ and ‘NeuroCom Standard’ respectively (KhAI Medica, Kharkiv, Ukraine) as well as GDV by ‘GDV Chamber’ (‘Biotechprogress’, St-Pb, RF). Results. After two-week course of rehabilitation NCMT was reduced in 9 children from 19,8 ± 3,4 to 12,3 ± 2,8 Newtons (Ch: -7,5 ± 2,0 N), in 3 children NCMT was 8,2 ± 3,3 before and 7,9 ± 3,5 after rehabilitation (Ch: -0,3 ± 0,3 N) while in one girl NCMT increased from 15,1 to 17,9 N and in one boy from 6,1 to 19,4 N. Manual functional tests also changed ambiguously. The Ch in NCMT are correlated with Ch in parameters HRV&EEG (R2=0,786) as well as GDV (R2=0,556). The Ch in functional tests for the left hand are correlated with Ch in parameters HRV&EEG to the stronger extent (R2=0,931) and for the right hand the correlation is maximal (R2=0,997). As to GDV parameters, connections are weaker but they are also stronger for the right hand. Conclusion. In children with spastic forms of cerebral palsy caused by the Kozyavkin method, changes in manual functional tests and the neural component of the muscle tone are determined by changes in parameters of EEG and HRV as well as GDV which is a completely suitable non-invasive method for assessing the effectiveness of rehabilitation

Background. Recently, on the example of two cohort of patients, we found that disturbances of the geomagnetic field cause a significant immediate modulating effect on the level of immune parameters in the blood. The data available in the literature give grounds for assumptions about the direct effect of disturbances of the geomagnetic field on immunocytes, and indirectly, through immunotropic neurotransmitters and hormones. Our hypothesis is as follows. Disturbances of the geomagnetic field are perceived by acupuncture points (APs). The information obtained is transmitted to neurons and endocrinocytes, the mediators of which, in turn, affect immunocytes. The purpose of this study is to test this hypothesis. Methods. The object of observation were 21 men (24-63 y) and 20 women (30-72 y) with neuroendocrine-immune complex dysfunction. Each patient was tested twice with an interval of 4 days. We recorded the ongoing electroencephalogram (EEG). Retrospectively we recorded the geomagnetic Ap-Index on the day of testing and during the previous 7 days, using resource https://www.spaceweatherlive.com/. Results. The canonical correlation between Ap-indices for 7 days before and on the day of testing, and EEG parameters is 0,886; immunity parameters is 0,921. In turn, the immune parameters are closely related to the EEG parameters (R=0,944). Conclusion. Disturbances of the geomagnetic field (Ap-index) causes a significant immediate modulating effect on the parameters of immunity as well as EEG, apparently through acupuncture points as polymodal receptors of the ecoceptive sensitivity system

Background. Back in 1990, YuP Limansky hypothesized acupuncture points (AP) as polymodal receptors of the ecoceptive sensitivity system. In the process of hypothesis development in 2003 an existence of separate functional system of regulation of electromagnetic balance of organism has been substantiated and a working conception of light therapy has been formulated. In line with this hypothesis, we set out to analyze the relationships between the disturbances of the geomagnetic field (Ap-index) and the electrical conductivity of a number of AP, on the one hand, and the parameters of the neuroendocrine-immune complex in patients with its dysfunction, on the other. Material and methods. The object of observation were 21 men (24-63 y) and 20 women (30-72 y) with neuroendocrine-immune complex dysfunction. Each patient was tested twice with an interval of 4 days. Retrospectively we recorded the geomagnetic Ap-Index on the day of testing and during the previous 7 days, using resource https://www.spaceweatherlive.com/. Recorded the electrical conductivity of 9 pairs of AP, electroencephalogram (EEG) and heart rate variability (HRV) parameters, determined the plasma level of cortisol, triiodothyronine and testosterone, the content of lymphocytes expressing CD3, CD4, CD25, CD8, CD22 and CD56 receptors, the serum level of circulating immune complexes, immunoglobulins classes M, G, A as well as C-reactive protein, IL-1β and IL-6. The state of phagocytic function of neutrophils estimated by microbial count and phagocytic and killing indices against Staphylococcus aureus and Escherichia coli. Results. During the week, the average level of Ap-index ranged from 7 to 13 nT. Maximum coefficients of multiple correlation with APs parameters were detected for Ap-index on 6 day before (R=0,552) and on the day of testing (R=0,470), with EEG parameters on the eve of registration (R=0,708) and on 6 day before its (R=0,685), with immunity parameters on the eve of blood sampling (R=0,768) and on 5 day before its (R=0,758), with HRV&Hormonal parameters on 2 (R=0,506) and 7 (R=0,403) days before testing. The canonical correlation between Ap-indices for 7 days before and on the day of testing, and the parameters APs is 0,661; EEG parameters is 0,886; HRV&Hormonal parameters is 0,766 and immunity parameters is 0,921. APs parameter are closely related to the EEG (R=0,997) and HRV&Hormonal parameters (R=0,740). In turn, the immune parameters are closely related to the EEG (R=0,944) and HRV&Hormonal parameters (R=0,714). Conclusion. Disturbances of the geomagnetic field (Ap-index) causes a significant immediate modulating effect on the parameters of neuroendocrine-immune complex, apparently through acupuncture points as polymodal receptors of the ecoceptive sensitivity system

Background. Earlier we reported that in children with spastic forms of cerebral palsy (SFCP) after two-week course of rehabilitation by Kozyavkin© method the hand function tests changed ambiguously and such a variety of changes is due to differently directed changes in the background activity of the nerve centers. Aime: to identify the peculiarities of changes in the parameters of EEG, HRV and GDV in children with favorable and unfavorable changes in the parameters of the functions of the hands. Material and research methods. The object of observations were 14 children (6 girls and 8 boys) aged 8÷15 years with SFCP. State motor development at GMFCS was on II÷IV level. Functional status of the hand with MACS was at II÷III level. The estimation of hand function carried out by Dynamometry (D), Box and Block Test (BB) and Nine Hole Peg Test (NHP). We registered also components of muscular tone by device “NeuroFlexor” (Aggero MedTech AB, Sweden), HRV and EEG parameters simultaneosly by hardware-software complex “Cardiolab+VSR” and “NeuroCom Standard” respectively (KhAI Medica, Kharkiv, Ukraine) as well as GDV parameters by “GDV Chamber” (“Biotechprogress”, St-Pb, RF). Results. The method of cluster analysis retrospectively highlighted two distinct groups-clusters. In 9 children, rehabilitation led to favorable changes in the parameters of the function of the hands, while in 3 children they turned out to be unfavorable. The method of discriminant analysis revealed that unfavorable changes are accompanied by a decrease in the asymmetry of the θ- and δ-rhythms, the spectral power density (SPD) of β-rhythm in loci F8 and Fp1, instead, it increases in loci O1 and T3, leading to left-sided lateralization of the β-rhythm. At the same time, the SPD of the α-rhythm in locus O1 and the θ-rhythm in locus F4 rises as well as its Deviation. These changes in the EEG are accompanied by a reduction in vagalis and an increase in sympathetic tones. Among the GDVs parameters, an increase in the area of the GD Image in the frontal projection, coupled with a decrease in its Entropy in the frontal and left projections, was found. Instead, favorable changes in the parameters of the hand function are accompanied by opposite changes in the listed EEGs, HRVs and GDVs parameters or their absence. Conclusion. Among 14 observed children with spastic forms of cerebral palsy caused by Kozyavkin© method changes in functional tests of hand are favorable in 11. Adverse changes in 3 children are accompanied by characteristic changes in a number of EEGs, HRVs and GDVs parameters, which in the long run will be corrected by electrostimulation of the corresponding nervous structures

Ability balneofactors spa Truskavets’ (Ukraine), including bioactive water Naftussya, affect Gall-bladder motility has long been known. We set a goal to identify changes related neuroendocrine-immune complex and metabolism accompanying cholecystokinetic effect of balneotherapy on spa. Results. In observation of 22 men with chronic cholecystitis in combination with pyelonephritis, found that 10-12-day course of balneotherapy (drinking of bioactive water Naftussya, application of ozokerite, mineral baths) reduces Gall-bladder volume fasting by 16% (p0,05), by increasing PSD HF greater extent than LF. The basal levels of plasma cortisol decreased by 20% (p0,2) and 8% (p<0,05) respectively. Regarding immunity parameters revealed significant increase in blood CD16+ lymphocytes only (+17%, p<0,01) in the absence of changes in levels of CD3+CD4+ and CD3+CD8+ T cells and CD19+ B lymphocytes. Do not change significantly either serum Igg G, M, A, or circulating immune complexes. Finally, stated a slight but significant increase electrokinetic index cell nuclei of buccal epithelium, indicating the "rejuvenation" of the body. Conclusion: balneotherapy on spa Truskavets’ be significantly cholecystokinetic effect, combined with the activation excretory and depurative kidney functions and neutrophil bactericidal function against a background of lower levels of neuroendocrine markers of stress. In 5 male volunteers performed 79 items HRV and EEG in the basal period and 25 tracks with 1,5 h after drinking 30 ml of water well, distilled, filtered, Holy (blind) and the well water indicates that it Holy (placebo ). Preliminary analysis revealed no significant differences between neurotropic effects of well, distilled and filtered waters, because for further analysis they were combined in a cluster "control waters". Found 48 parameters of HRV and EEG, in which a set of clusters "control waters", "Holy water" and "placebo" significantly different from each other and from the basal level. These parameters formed 9 patterns that demonstrate the stimulating or inhibitory neurotropic effect: 1) only placebo; 2) only Holy water; 3) placebo and Holy water as 3.1) opposite and 3.2) approximately equally. Conclusion: neurotropic effects Holy water is like autosuggestion and information (Divine) nature. Keywords: EEG, HRV, Holy water, placebo

Earlier we reported that in children with spastic forms of cerebral palsy (SFCP) after two-week course of rehabilitation by Kozyavkin© method the hand function tests changed ambiguously (in 11 children out of 14 were improved, but in 3 worsened), and these changes were accompanied by a variety changes in a number parameters of EEG, HRV and gas-discharge visualization (GDV). The aim of this study – to identify the peculiarities of changes in the parameters of EEG, HRV and GDV in children with favorable and unfavorable changes in the parameters of the functions of the hands as well as to find out the possibility of predicting the direction of changes in motor function of the hands on the set of initial parameters of the organism. Material and Methods. The object of observations were 14 children (6 girls and 8 boys) aged 8–15 years with SFCP. State motor development at GMFCS was on II–IV level. Functional status of the hand with MACS was at II–III level. The estimation of hand function carried out by Dynamometry (D), Box and Block Test (BB) and Nine Hole Peg Test (NHP). We registered also components of muscle tone by device “NeuroFlexor” (Aggero MedTech AB, Sweden), HRV and EEG parameters simultaneosly by hardware-software complex “Cardiolab+VSR” and “NeuroCom Standard” respectively (KhAI Medica, Kharkiv, Ukraine) as well as GDV parameters by “GDV Chamber” (“Biotechprogress”, St-Pb, RF). Results. Using the method of discriminant analysis, 18 parameters were identified, the totality of which the initial state of children and their state after the various consequences of rehabilitation are significantly different from each other. It was found that prognostication by gender, the MACS scale, the BB test of the left hand and the viscous component of muscle tone, despite the uncertainty, is still not sufficiently reliable (the square of Mahalanobis distance D2M between the clusters is 6,85; p=0,208). Instead, a discriminant model based on 7 parameters of the EEG and ULF power band of HRV is quite reliable (D2M=116; p=0,011). Additional inclusion in the model the parameter of GDV leads to a further increase in the reliability of the forecast (D2M=222; p=0,011), which reaches the maximum with the consideration of the BB test of the right hand (D2M=262; p=0,002). Conclusion. The character of the changes in the parameters of the motor function of the hands due to the course of rehabilitation by Kozyavkin© method is conditioned both by their initial level and by the set of parameters of EEG, HRV and GDV and is subject to reliable prediction.

Perspectives on the use of electrostimulation with the device “VEB”® in the management of disorders related to COVID-19

Background. One of the symptoms of COVID-19 is the so-called "cytokine storm". Its pathogenesis is that the initial release by lymphocytes and macrophages of proinflammatory cytokines in the classical immune response to SARS-CoV-2 is significantly enhanced and maintained due to excessive adrenergic stimulation of the immune cells. The proinflammatory adrenergic mechanism of the "cytokine storm" can be offset by the activation of the anti-inflammatory cholinergic mechanism by non-invasive stimulation of the vagus nuclei (VNS). In 2015, a generator for electrotherapy and stimulation oh human nerve centers was created, called “VEB-1”. Preliminary observation of volunteers revealed a modulating effect of a four-day course of electrical stimulation on the parameters of electroencephalogram, metabolism, as well as gas-discharge visualization (GDV).. This report launches a series of articles on a comparative study of the course effects of the devices "VEB-1" and recently designed "VEB-2" on the sympathetic-vagal balance as key link of pathogenesis of "cytokine storm". Material and research methods. The object of observation were 18 volunteers: 11 women 33-62 y and 7 men 29-62 y (Mean±SD: 51±12 y) without clinical diagnose but with dysfunction of neuro-endocrine-immune complex and metabolism. In the morning registered HRV (“CardioLab+HRV”, “KhAI-Medica”, Kharkiv, UA), EEG (“NeuroCom Standard”, “KhAI-Medica”, Kharkiv, UA), kirlianogram by the method of GDV (“GDV Chamber”, “Biotechprogress”, SPb, RF), electroconductivity of skin in points of acupuncture (“Medissa”), electrokinetic index of buccal epithelium ("Biotest", Kharkiv State University), as well as some parameters of immunity and metabolism. After the initial testing, an electrical stimulation session was performed with a VEB-1 or a VEB-2 devices. The next morning after completing the four-day course, retesting was performed. Results. The effects of electrical stimulation can be divided into the following networks. Regarding EEG, this is a leveling of right-hand lateralization and normalizing decrease in the increased of the amplitude of the θ-rhythm and its spectral power density (SPD) at the loci F3, F7, F8, T3, T4, T6, P3, O1 and O2; further increase of SPD of δ-rhythm in loci F3, F4, T6, P3 and O1 as well as further decrease of SPD F4-α; reversion of the increased level of entropy in loci Fp1, F4, C3 and P3 to the lowered level. Regarding HRV, it is a vagotonic shift of sympatho-vagus balance due to a decrease in elevated levels of sympathetic tone markers and an increase in decreased levels of vagus tone markers, but without normalization. Neurotropic effects are accompanied by favorable changes in a number of immune parameters and a tendency to decrease the level of C-Reactive Protein. Regarding GDV, it is almost complete normalization of the initially increased GDI Area in the frontal projection and third Chakra Energy; normalizing decrease in the initially increased Energy of second and seventh Chakras; normalizing right-hand shift of more or less pronounced left-sided Asymmetry of first and third Chakra. These effects should be clearly interpreted as physiologically beneficial. The effects on these parameters are almost equally pronounced in people of both sexes when using both devices. Conclusion. Vagotonic and immunotropic effects of our device give us a reason to offer it for further research on the leveling of cytokine storm in COVID-19
