Aim: to study the quality of sleep and the relationship between sleep disorders and injury among young elite soccer players. Methods: the study summarizes data from relevant questionnaires obtained through anonymous cohort testing of 236 male football players from leading football academies, two farm teams of leading Russian Premier League clubs and three national youth teams. Results: the average sleep duration in the study participants was 9 hours. The prevalence of sleep disorders was 7 % (PSQI, Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index) and 10 % (ASBQ, Athlete Sleep Behavior Questionnaire) and among the youngest soccer players, this prevalence of violations was the lowest. Significant or moderate daytime sleepiness was found in 59 % of participants. The risk of serious disorders increased with age. Sleep disorders significantly affected injuries according to the results of the PSQI questionnaire and retrospective collection of information about injuries. Conclusion: the confirmed relationship between injuries and sleep disorders allows us to consider sleep quality improvement as an important component of injury and morbidity prevention among athletes of team sports

Gradients of Taxonomic Diversity among Local Floras in the Russian Arctic

Latitudinal and longitudinal changes in taxonomic variables were analyzed in 319 local floras in the Russian Arctic. Within the studied segment of latitudinal gradient, most changes can be described in terms of linear regression with negative coefficients (a number of species, genera and families), or positive coefficients (a proportion of the leading families and genera). However, the mean number of species in a family or genus almost does not change with increasing latitude, although it slightly increases as one moves eastward. The proportion of monocots does not correlate with latitude, but slightly decreases as one moves eastward. Proportions of various families change asynchronously. Although correlation with longitude was less pronounced, mean species richness was specific to many subprovinces, even within a certain subzone. These differences reflect both the diversity of landscapes and the history of flora formation. Keywords: the Arctic, local floras, latitudinal and longitudinal gradient, floristic subprovince

Rehabilitation of patients with geriatric foot syndrome in out-patient settings

Geriatric (senile) foot, according to various authors, is one of the most common syndromes in the elderly and senile. This article describes the developed and scientifically substantiated tactics of rehabilitation treatment of patients with age-related foot syndrome in a clinic, which consists in identifying geriatric syndromes associated with age-related foot syndrome and the use of a set of measures to prevent their progression and treatmen

Successful experience of treatment of a patient with generalized non-GCB- DLBCL using the R-mNHL-BFM-90 protocol with lenalidomide: case report and review of literature

Diffuse large B-cell lymphoma is categorized by gene expression profiling into germinal center (GCB) and activated B-cell (ABC) subtype, also referred to as non-germinal center B-cell (non-GCB) by immunohistochemistry. ABC DLBCL is characterized by NF-κB pathway activation and high expression of IRF4/MUM1, a key transcription factor in B cell differentiation. Patients with ABC DLBCL have a significantly worse outcome when treated with standard chemotherapy (R-CHOP). Lenalidomide have shown activity in the ABC-DLBCL in combination with R-CHOP. But about 40% of patients remain resistant. We present the experience of treatment of a patient with generalized non-GCB-DLBCL using the intensive protocol R-mNHL-BFM-90 with lenalidomide

    Synthesis and Luminescent Properties of Bismuth Titanates Bi1.6HoxTi2O7 – δ and Bi1.6Mg0.1HoxTi2O7 – δ

Abstract: Pyrochlores Bi1.6HoxTi2O7 – δ and Bi1.6Mg0.1Ho xTi2O7 – δ, where x = 0, 0.01, 0.05, and 0.1, and Bi1.5HoxTi2O7 – δ, where x = 0.25 and 0.5, have been synthesized and their structural, optical, and luminescence properties have been studied. As a result of analyzing the data obtained experimentally and the available theoretical data, it is shown that the intrinsic luminescence of the samples is due to the O2p ↔ Bi6p and Bi6s ↔ Bi6p electron transitions and the impurity luminescence is due to the f–f transitions in Ho3+ and the O2p → Ho3+ charge transfer. © 2019, Pleiades Publishing, Ltd.Russian Foundation for Basic Research, RFBR: 19-03-00642The reported study was funded by RFBR according to the research project 19-03-00642

Search for the Cryptoexotic Member of the Baryon Antidecuplet 1/2+ in the Reactions pi- p --> pi- p and pi- p --> K L

The main goal of this proposal is the search for a narrow cryptoexotic nucleon resonance by scanning of the pi- p system invariant mass in the region (1610-1770) MeV with the detection of pi- p and K Lambda decays. The scan is supposed to be done by the variation of the incident pi- momentum and its measurement with the accuracy of up to +-0.1% (better than 1 MeV in terms of the invariant mass in the whole energy range) with a set of proportional chambers located in the first focus of the magnetooptical channel. High sensitivity of the method to the resonance under search is shown. The secondary particles scattered from a liquid hydrogen target are detected by sets of the wire drift chambers equipped with modern electronics. The time scale of the project is about 3 years. The budget estimate including manpower, the apparatus and operation cost, is about 40 million rubles. The beam time required is (4-6) two week runs on "high" (10 GeV/c) flattop of the ITEP proton synchrotron.Comment: 16 pages, 10 figures. v2: an acknowledge adde
