Study of the fever-induced changes in kidney function

Get PDF
Kidney and urinary tract diseases, especially of microbial-inflammatory origin, occupy one of the leading places in the structure of somatic pathology. The kidneys play an important role in the maintaining homeostasis, which is characterized by a constant volume of fluid, its osmotic concentration and ionic composition. Therefore, any renal dysfunction can lead to significant changes in electrolyte and water-salt homeostasis. According to the literature, about 90% of kidney diseases are accompanied by fever, which often develops in response to the effects of pyrogens of viral or bacterial nature, which in general significantly impairs the body's compensatory capacity and affects the course and consequences

National Variability of German Language in Field of Lexical Compatibility (by Material of Austrian and Swiss Collocations)

The author’s attention is drawn to two problem areas of modern linguistics: the study of lexical compatibility and further development of the concept of national variability of the German language. Collocations are chosen as an object of research. They are considered on the one hand as a basic phenomenon of lexical combinatorics, and on the other hand, as a special type of phraseological units, reflecting the features of all system levels of language or language variant. Based on the comparative analysis of Austrian, Swiss and German collocations extracted from lexicographical sources, the author shows that the norms of lexical compatibility in the German language of Germany, Austria and Switzerland in a number of aspects do not coincide. It is noted that national language standards have a significant number of collocations that are unknown and / or uncommon in other regions of the German-speaking area and in many cases have ethnocultural conditionality. As another kind of nationally specific collocations, the author considers the collocations that have common structural and semantic properties in all three national variants of the German language, but differ in the design of the base or collocator. It is argued that the revealed differences are due to either inventory and semantic differences in the lexical content of the phrases, or the variability of the use of general German components. In addition, the author points out that the national features of collocations are also manifested in the specifics of the syntactic organization, especially in the use of prepositions. Thus, it is shown that the peculiarities of Austrian and Swiss collocations are due to the originality of the national variants of the German language at different levels of the language system

The aim of research was to improve the management of bronchial asthma in children by examining the peculiarities and diagnostic value of reaction markers of eosinophil granulocytes in the sputum and peripheral blood of patients with signs of eosinophil and non-eosinophil phenotypes of this disease. A cohort of 118 school-age children suffering from BA was examined during a period free from attacks. Group I (the main group ) included 61 schoolchildren with signs of eosinophil phenotype (EP) of asthma detected by the character of bronchial inflammation with eosinophil granulocytes present in the sputum at a level of >3%, group II (the comparison group) included 57 patients with a lower number of eosinophils in the sputum (non-eosinophil phenotype (NP) of BA). The average index of the relative content of eosinophils in the peripheral blood among the representatives of group I was 5.82 ± 0.63%, and in children with the signs of NPBA – 6.02 ± 0.74% (P > 0.05), and average indices in the groups of absolute eosinophil number in the blood were 0.37 ± 0.04 and 0.41 ± 0.05 respectively (P > 0.05). The negative reserve of NBT eosinophils in the sputum as a test to verify EPBA showed the following diagnostic values: specificity – 83.3%, predicted value of a positive result – 95.6%. IL-5 content in the blood serum of children with EPBA was 5.99 ± 1.74 ng/ml, in patients of group ІІ – only 1.99 ± 0.49 ng/ml (P < 0.05). Eosinophil cationic protein (ЕСР) in the sputum of patients of group I reached 2.72 ± 0.35 ng/ml, and in the comparison group – only 1.74 ± 0.34 ng/ml (P < 0.05), when the content of ECP in sputum was >1.0 ng/ml the risk of EPBA showed a statistically significant increase: OR = 4.13, RR = 2.02, and AR – 0.34. The efficacy of the standardized basic anti-inflammatory therapy in patients of clinical group I was higher as compared to the children with the signs of NPBA, which was illustrated by the reduced risk of inadequate control of the disease: the index of absolute risk decrease was 31.7%, relative risk – 57.1% with necessary minimal number of patients – 1.75

Scientific Communication 2.0: Features of Presenting Scientific Content on German Popular Science YouTube Channels

The article is devoted to the feature’s analysis of the presentation of scientific content on the German-language popular science YouTube channels maiLab and Terra X Lesch & Co. It has been established that, in general, the popular science YouTube channels maiLab and Terra X Lesch & Co. are oriented towards the strategies and forms of presentation of scientific content adopted in the field of science: types of thematic progression characteristic of theoretical discourse (descriptive, explicative and argumentative) are used, as well as scheme of an argumentative statement. It is shown that, in contrast to the objectification mechanism of information exchange, which determines the presentation of scientific content within the scientific community, a personalization mechanism operates in the network of popular science communication, which is determined by the peculiarities of the interaction of the participants in network communication and the polymodality of the Internet as a medium. The authors consider in detail the techniques of intimization, emotionalization, dialogization, metaphorization, visualization and implementation of a narrative pattern. It is noted that these techniques allow bloggers to maintain the attention and interest of their channel subscribers, as well as simplify the presentation of scientific content, making it easier to understand. It is proved that the use of the strategy of personalization of information exchange, which is characteristic of mass media discourse, leads to a consistent violation of the prohibitions existing in theoretical discourse on any explicit manifestation of the subject of speech in a statement. The analysis of the material allows the authors to conclude about the active interaction of different discourses — theoretical and mass media — in their peripheral zones and describe the mechanisms of this interaction

This article highlights the relevance of the problem of using coaching in the professional training of future masters of primary education under martial law. Theoretical analysis of scientific sources on comprehension of the definitions of "coaching" and "pedagogical coaching" is carried out; the essence, purpose, and tasks are revealed. It is noted that the purpose of pedagogical coaching is to reveal the potential for improvement of the expected learning outcomes, development of critical and logical thinking, formation of mobility, independence in decision-making, the desire for self-development, self-learning, and success in future professional activities among higher education students. It has been found that the introduction of coaching in the system of professional training of future masters of primary education will serve the process of training competitive and competent specialists with formed values, beliefs, and priority goals. They are capable of making both personal and professional independent decisions and generating new ideas. This method also helps master's students to develop appropriate self-esteem and academic stress resistance. This is the basis of educational and cognitive activity in the conditions of wartime. It is concluded that coaching belongs to innovative technologies of professional education; it is a powerful tool for personal and professional growth for future masters of primary education; it is a technology for organizing scientific and pedagogical research that promotes the implementation of a student-centered approach in higher education institutions based on trust, partnership, and mutual respect. It is also important to provide a comprehensive rather than fragmentary implementation of coaching to achieve the aims of professional education, improve its quality, and establish cooperative subject-subject relations between professors and students
