Az IKT társadalmi felhasználásának perspektĂvái Ă©s stratĂ©giái
A recenziĂł a Springer kiadĂłnál 2005 nyarán ezzel a cĂmmel megjelent angol nyelvű tanulmánykötetet (Perspectives and Policies on ICT in Society) mutatja be. A könyvet az egyik legrĂ©gebbi nemzetközi informáciĂłfeldogozási szövetsĂ©g, az IFIP (International Federation for Information Processing) „SzámĂtĂłgĂ©p Ă©s társadalom” bizottságának kĂ©t tagja szerkesztette. A felkĂ©rt szerzĹ‘k regionális bontásban vizsgálják az informáciĂłs társadalom fejlesztĂ©sĂ©vel kapcsolatos stratĂ©giákat Ă©s politikai programokat, majd a legfontosabb etikai Ă©s szociális kĂ©rdĂ©seket veszik sorra. A tanulmánykötetben helyet kaptak továbbá az informáciĂłs Ă©s kommunikáciĂłs technolĂłgiák fejlĹ‘dĂ©sĂ©nek hatására változĂł munkahelyek Ă©s az ugyancsak változĂł funkciĂłjĂş otthon viszonyát elemzĹ‘ Ărások is
Fapados internetszolgáltató a végeken
A tanulmányban ismertetett Ă©s elemzett WiFi falu program az állami, a civil Ă©s az ĂĽzleti szektorok összefogásával kĂnál vezetĂ©k nĂ©lkĂĽli internet-hozzáfĂ©rĂ©st Ă©s használt számĂtĂłgĂ©peket a Magyarország leginkább hátrányos helyzetű kistelepĂĽlĂ©sein Ă©lĹ‘ egyĂ©neknek Ă©s családoknak. A program kimondott cĂ©lja, hogy a tĂ©rsĂ©gben Ă©lĹ‘ roma fiatalok mobilizáciĂłs esĂ©lyeit javĂtsa a digitális eszközök elterjesztĂ©se rĂ©vĂ©n. A tanulmány bemutatja a kezdemĂ©nyezĂ©s cĂ©lcsoportjának gazdasági Ă©s társadalmi helyzetĂ©t, Ă©s ismerteti az IKT szerepĂ©t a vidĂ©kfejlesztĂ©sben.
A VII. Szociális Informatikai Műhelykonferencián 2007. májusában elhangzott elĹ‘adás az EurĂłpai UniĂł szociális informatikai politikáját Ă©s annak 2007-ig elĂ©rt eredmĂ©nyeit Ă©rtĂ©keli. Az eInclusion politika ambiciĂłzus cĂ©ljait a 2006. Ă©vi rigai miniszteri csĂşcstalálkozĂł fogalmazta meg. E cĂ©lok megvalĂłsĂtása elsĹ‘sorban az Ăşgynevezett "nyĂlt koordináciĂłs mĂłdszer" segĂtsĂ©gĂ©vel törtĂ©nik, a folyamat monitorozása azonban mind az EU szintjĂ©n, mind Magyarországon nehĂ©zsĂ©gekbe ĂĽtközik. Hiányoznak az egysĂ©ges indikátorok Ă©s összehasonlĂthatĂł statisztikai adatok, melyek segĂtsĂ©gĂ©vel a döntĂ©shozĂłk Ă©s az Ă©rintett Ă©rdekcsoportok az UniĂł minden tagországa Ă©s valamennyi leszakadással fenyegetett társadalmi csoportja pontosabban fogalmazhatná meg cĂ©ljait, Ă©s nyomon követhetnĂ© azok teljesĂĽlĂ©sĂ©t. A tanulmány magyarországi adatokkal illusztrálja, hogy mely terĂĽleteken ismert összehasonlĂthatĂł mĂłdon az ország "eInclusion-Ă©rettsĂ©ge", továbbá rámutat azokra a terĂĽletekre, ahol nem áll rendelkezĂ©sre ilyen informáciĂł
Hátrányos helyzetű társadalmi csoportok az információs társadalomban
A tanulmány a 2005 novemberi InformáciĂłs Társadalom Szakmai Napokon elhangzott elĹ‘adás kibĹ‘vĂtett változata.
MestersĂ©gesintelligencia-narratĂvák az online mĂ©diában : A hazai online hĂrportálok Ă©s közössĂ©gimĂ©dia-felĂĽletek szentimentelemzĂ©se a Chat-GPT korszaka elĹ‘tt = Narratives of artificial intelligence in the online media : Discourse analysis of domestic online and social media before the chatGPT era
E kutatás hĂreket, illetve közössĂ©gimĂ©dia-diskurzusok szentimentjeit elemzi a mestersĂ©ges intelligenciához (MI) kapcsolĂłdĂł hĂrek szempontjábĂłl. A gyűjtĂ©s a SentiOne platformján keresztĂĽl törtĂ©nt 2020.01.01. Ă©s 2023.01.01. között. A teljes adathalmaz cikkekbĹ‘l/posztokbĂłl, valamint kommentekbĹ‘l állt. A korpusz 59 681 db cikket Ă©s posztot, valamint 144 192 db kommentet tartalmaz. A negatĂv kifejezĂ©sek emlĂtĂ©si aránya összessĂ©gĂ©ben alacsonyabb, mint a pozitĂvakĂ©; a kommentben lekĂ©pezĹ‘dĹ‘ visszhangok inkább semleges vagy negatĂv hangvĂ©telűek. MĂg fĹ‘leg a szakmai tematikájĂş oldalaknál a pozitĂv jelzĹ‘k aránya a magasabb, egy kisebb, jellemzĹ‘en konspiráciĂłs teĂłriákat feldolgozĂł oldalcsoport tartalmaiban a negatĂv jelzĹ‘k dominálnak. A cikkekre adott reakciĂłkbĂłl három megosztĂł tĂ©maklaszter rajzolĂłdik ki: 1) etika, jog, adatvĂ©delem, 2) nemzetközi kapcsolatok, 3) állami szfĂ©ra, egyetemek Ă©s MI. A kommentek 76%-a semleges, 15%-a negatĂv Ă©s mindössze 9%-a pozitĂv. A legjellemzĹ‘bb pozitĂvan kommentelt tartalmak pĂ©ldául a kutatĂłi-szakmai munkák elismerĂ©sĂ©rĹ‘l szĂłlĂł hĂrek. A negatĂvan kommentelt tartalmak rangsorában kirajzolĂłdnak a társadalmi-politikai (fĹ‘kĂ©pp kĂĽlpolitikai) Ă©s a technolĂłgiai (fĹ‘kĂ©pp emberellenessĂ©ggel kapcsolatos) fĂ©lelmek.
This study analyzes sentiments in the Hungarian news and social media on the topic of artificial intelligence (AI). The data was collected between 01/01/2020 and 01/01/2023. The data set consisted of 59,681 articles/posts and 144,192 comments. Overall, the mention rate of negative terms is lower than that of positive terms; the reflections in the comments tend to be neutral or negative in tone. While the proportion of positive comments is higher in sources focusing on professional perspectives, negative comments dominate the reactions to a smaller group of pages that typically deal with conspiracy theories. Three different topic clusters can be derived from the reactions to the articles: 1) ethics, law, and privacy, 2) international relations, 3) public sector, universities and AI. The most frequent content with positive comments is, for example, news about the recognition of the work of researchers and professionals. In the realm of content getting negative comments, various socio-political and technological fears stand out
The automatization of social media communication - Exploring the development of bot codes on GitHub and the use of open-source bots on Twitter
The production and deployment of social media bots signal the emergence of new political economies that redistribute agency around new technological actors. This has implications for marketing, political action and even private lives. Yet, we have very little systematic knowledge about how bots are produced, and how open-source developers use collaborative platforms for sharing their code online.
In my PhD research project, I proposed a novel way to study Twitter bots by examining both the open-source bot codes on GitHub and the bots deployed on Twitter. Traditionally, research projects have examined bots as black boxes and attempted to “reverse engineer” the algorithms behind automated accounts. Instead, I tracked bots to their source code on GitHub and connect the algorithm (code) running behind the bot to data about bot activity on a social media platform. By using this approach, I combined data about automated accounts deployed on a social media platform with the source code behind those same bots – this creates a unique lens on bots and provides important insights about how they were produced and how they operate.
Combining API-based, data driven research with a classic social science approach helps to understand current practices of developing bots and deploying them on online social media platforms. As part of my PhD research, I examined bot repositories on GitHub and conducted a survey with the same bot developers to gain further insights into the nitty-gritty of writing bot code, including the most important challenges during the development phase and major barriers to deploying and operating bots on Twitter over an extensive period of time. The survey results also shed light on the motivations behind creating automated social media accounts. I also studied how programmers deploy their bots on Twitter and how other, mostly human, users react to the bot activity. The final part of my thesis contributes to a typology of open-source social media bots by systematically examining bot codes shared on GitHub and the activity of some of these bots on Twitter in tandem.
My dissertation contributes to scientific knowledge about open source Twitter bots in two distinct ways. First, it provides a framework to study both the development and the use of open source bots on Twitter. Secondly, it explores the practices of developing open source bots and shed lights on the motivation behind developing Twitter bots, the long-term use of such bots including the challenges of running bots for an extensive period of time and the bots contribution to the Twitter eco-system
