Regularity of solutions to the quaternionic Monge-Ampère equation

The regularity of solutions to the Dirichlet problem for the quaternionic Monge-Ampère equation is discussed. We prove that the solution to the Dirichlet problem is Hölder continuous under some conditions on the boundary values and the quaternionic Monge-Ampère density from Lp(Ω) for p>2. As a step towards the proof, we provide a refined version of stability for the weak solutions to this equation

Kierowanie świętą liturgią według Magnum principium. Komentarz do kan. 838 Kodeksu Prawa Kanonicznego z 1983 roku

Liturgia stanowi przestrzeń szczególnego spotkania teologii i prawa. Nawet, jeśli niektórym wydaje się, że powinna być ona ograniczona tylko do wymiaru czysto mistycznego, bo widzi się w niej specjalny rodzaj modlitwy, to w rzeczywistości jej kształt jest dokładnie określony przez normy prawa kościelnego. Krytyczna ocena Kodeksu Prawa Kanonicznego z 1983 r. musiała uwzględnić obiektywne stwierdzenie, że nie każdy przepis w nim określony i zawarty oddał w sposób precyzyjny sensus Ecclesiae twórców i uczestników Soboru Watykańskiego II. Tak było chociażby w przypadku kan. 838 KPK/83. Zawarte w nim normy odnoszące się do adaptacji i akomodacji oraz określające zasady współpracy pomiędzy Stolicą Apostolską a lokalnymi konferencjami biskupów wymagały uzgodnienia z przepisami przyjętymi już w ramach obrad Soboru Watykańskiego II. Dlatego na mocy listu apostolskiego motu proprio Magnum principium papież dokonał stosownych zmian, które uczyniły współpracę Stolicy Apostolskiej i konferencji biskupów jeszcze sprawniejszą i bardziej owocną w służbie wiernym. Ponadto dzięki tej nowelizacji modlitwa liturgiczna ma być bardziej przystosowana do zrozumienia ludzi

Instytucja ubezwłasnowolnienia, posiadająca ogromne znaczenie z punktu widzenia prawnego, społecznego i rodzinnego, wzbudza liczne kontrowersje. Niektórzy autorzy zastanawiają się, czy powinna mieć obecnie rację bytu, z racji ograniczenia zdolności do czynności prawnych osoby, której dotyczy. Modele inkulturacji liturgicznej

The basic mission of the Church is carried out through munus docendi and munus sanctificandi. In fulfilling these tasks, the community founded by Christ meets with different cultures and becomes involved in the process of inculturation. The latter points to the need to build proper relationships between faith and culture. Its special expression is the liturgical inculturation, which can be defined as the process of introducing cultic texts and rites into the structure of local culture. This study presents the process of the inculturation in relation to the liturgical law, as well as models of inculturation, which are extremely important in the process of creating public worship and liturgical prayer.Realizacja podstawowej misji Kościoła dokonuje się poprzez munus docendi oraz munus sanctificandi. W ramach wypełniania tych zadań wspólnota założona przez Chrystusa spotka się z różnymi kulturami i zostaje włączona w proces inkulturacji. Ta ostatnia wskazuje na potrzebę budowania właściwych relacji pomiędzy wiarą i kulturą. Jej szczególnym wyrazem jest inkulturacja liturgiczna, którą można zdefiniować jako proces wprowadzania tekstów i obrzędów kultycznych do struktury kultury lokalnej. W niniejszym opracowaniu został ukazany proces inkulturacji w odniesieniu do prawa liturgicznego, jak również zaprezentowane modele inkulturacji, które są niezwykle ważne w procesie tworzenia publicznego kultu Bożego i przystosowanej modlitwy liturgicznej

Adaptations in the Polish Rites of the Sacrament of Marriage

One of the issues raised by the Second Vatican Council was the need to revise the liturgical books that had been used until that time. The ritual of the sacrament of marriage was the first to undergo this process. The editio typica was prepared, and, following the promulgation of the Code of Canon Law in 1983, the Holy See published the second model edition of the ritual in question. The Polish version of the rites of the sacrament of marriage was developed on the basis of the Latin book, using historical sets of liturgical books from the nation. By virtue of the authority granted by the legislator, the Polish Episcopal Conference incorporated liturgical adaptations relevant to Poland into the ritual. With adherence to the indications included in the editio typica, the formularies and ceremonies established domestically were taken into consideration.Adaptacje w polskich obrzędach sakramentu małżeństwa Jednym z postulatów Soboru Watykańskiego II była konieczność rewizji używanych dotychczas ksiąg liturgicznych. Temu dziełu – jako pierwszy – został poddany rytuał sakramentu małżeństwa. Przygotowano najpierw editio typica, a po promulgacji Kodeksu prawa kanonicznego w 1983 roku, Stolica Apostolska opublikowała drugie wydanie wzorcowe przedmiotowego rytuału. Na podstawie księgi łacińskiej opracowano polską wersję obrzędów sakramentu małżeństwa, korzystając przy tym z historycznych agend krajowych. Konferencja Episkopatu Polski – na mocy uprawnień, udzielonych przez pracodawcę – włączyła do rytuału charakterystyczne dla Polski adaptacje liturgiczne. Efficient Graph Coloring with Parallel Genetic Algorithms

In this paper a new parallel genetic algorithm for coloring graph vertices is presented. In the algorithm we apply a migration model of parallelism and define two new recombination operators SPPX and CEX. For comparison two problem-oriented crossover operators UISX and GPX are selected. The performance of the algorithm is verified by computer experiments on a set of standard graph coloring instances

An analysis of magnetic gear performance

Continuous development of technology determines the search for new solutions in the field of electric machine design with improved electromechanical properties. In recent years, there has been an increased interest in passive and active magnetic gears. This paper presents the design, operation and performance analysis of the modified magnetic gear. The new prototype magnetic gear allows obtaining a ratio of 4:1 or 5:1. For the analyzed construction, two and three-dimensional numerical models are developed for which the series of the magnetic field calculations are carried out . The characteristics of the magnetic torque vs. angle position of the inner rotor with respect to the intermediate ring (modulation ring) and the outer rotor are determined and compared. The examples of flux density distributions for the analyzed converter construction are presented. The calculation results are verified with measurements on the prototype

Diversity and transmission of Aleutian mink disease virus in feral and farmed American mink and native mustelids

Aleutian mink disease virus (AMDV), which causes Aleutian disease, is widely spread both in farmed mink and wild mustelids. However, only limited data are available on the role of wild animals in AMDV transmission and spread. Our aim was to shed light on AMDV transmission among wild mustelids and estimate the effect of intense farming practices on the virus circulation by studying AMDV prevalence and genetic diversity among wild mustelids in Poland. We compared AMDV seroprevalence and proportion of PCR-positive individuals in American mink, polecats, otters, stone martens, and pine martens and used the phylogenetic analysis of the NS1 region to study transmission. In addition, we used a metagenomic approach to sequence complete AMDV genomes from tissue samples. In eastern Poland, AMDV seroprevalence in wild mustelids varied from 22 per cent in otters to 62 per cent and 64 per cent in stone martens and feral mink, respectively. All studied antibody-positive mink were also PCR positive, whereas only 10, 15, and 18 per cent of antibody-positive polecats, pine martens, and stone martens, respectively, were PCR positive, suggesting lower virus persistence among these animal species as compared to feral mink. In phylogenetic analysis, most sequences from feral mink formed region-specific clusters that have most likely emerged through multiple introductions of AMDV to feral mink population over decades. However, virus spread between regions was also observed. Virus sequences derived from farmed and wild animals formed separate subclusters in the phylogenetic tree, and no signs of recent virus transmission between farmed and wild animals were observed despite the frequent inflow of farmed mink escapees to wild populations. These results provide new information about the role of different mustelid species in AMDV transmission and about virus circulation among the wild mustelids. In addition, we pinpoint gaps of knowledge, where more studies are needed to achieve a comprehensive picture of AMDV transmission.Peer reviewe
