    : This study aimed to examine the consumer perception of Bebek Kebbut\u27s brand image, the quality of food products and the price. Type of research was descriptive quantitative analysis test. The author took a sample of 193 respondents. The results of the study proved that the brand image, product quality and price of Warung Bebek Kebbut were perceived positively by consumers. Of these three variables, the quality of products from Warung Bebek Kebbut was the highest factor perceived positively by respondents while the price was the lowest

    Comparative Proteomics Analyses Reveal the virB of B. melitensis Affects Expression of Intracellular Survival Related Proteins

    BACKGROUND: Brucella melitensis is a facultative, intracellular, pathogenic bacterium that replicates within macrophages. The type IV secretion system encoded by the virB operon (virB) is involved in Brucella intracellular survival. However, the underlying molecular mechanisms, especially the target proteins affected by the virB, remain largely unclear. METHODOLOGY/PRINCIPAL FINDINGS: In order to define the proteins affected by virB, the proteomes of wild-type and the virB mutant were compared under in vitro conditions where virB was highly activated. The differentially expressed proteins were identified by MALDI-TOF-MS. Forty-four down-regulated and eighteen up-regulated proteins which exhibited a 2-fold or greater change were identified. These proteins included those involved in amino acid transport and metabolism, lipid metabolism, energy production, cell membrane biogenesis, translation, post-translational modifications and protein turnover, as well as unknown proteins. Interestingly, several important virulence related proteins involved in intracellular survival, including VjbR, DnaK, HtrA, Omp25, and GntR, were down-regulated in the virB mutant. Transcription analysis of virB and vjbR at different growth phase showed that virB positively affect transcription of vjbR in a growth phase dependent manner. Quantitative RT-PCR showed that transcription of these genes was also affected by virB during macrophage cell infection, consistent with the observed decreased survival of the virB mutant in macrophage. CONCLUSIONS/SIGNIFICANCE: These data indicated that the virB operon may control the intracellular survival of Brucella by affecting the expression of relevant proteins

    Testing dark energy models in the light of σ8 tension

    It has been pointed out that there exists a tension in σ8−Ωm measurement between CMB and LSS observation. In this paper we show that σ8−Ωm observations can be used to test the dark energy theories. We study two models, (1) Hu–Sawicki (HS) Model of f(R) gravity and (2) Chavallier–Polarski–Linder (CPL) parametrization of dynamical dark energy (DDE), both of which satisfy the constraints from supernovae. We compute σ8 consistent with the parameters of these models. We find that the well known tension in σ8 between Planck CMB and large scale structure (LSS) observations is (1) exacerbated in the HS model and (2) somewhat alleviated in the DDE model. We illustrate the importance of the σ8 measurements for testing modified gravity models. Modified gravity models change the matter power spectrum at cluster scale which also depends upon the neutrino mass.     Role of mesenchymal cells in the natural history of ovarian cancer: a review

    International audienceBackground: Ovarian cancer is the deadliest gynaecologic malignancy. Despite progresses in chemotherapy and ultra-radical surgeries, this locally metastatic disease presents a high rate of local recurrence advocating for the role of a peritoneal niche. For several years, it was believed that tumor initiation, progression and metastasis were merely due to the changes in the neoplastic cell population and the adjacent non-neoplastic tissues were regarded as bystanders. The importance of the tumor microenvironment and its cellular component emerged from studies on the histopathological sequence of changes at the interface between putative tumor cells and the surrounding non-neoplastic tissues during carcinogenesis. Method: In this review we aimed to describe the pro-tumoral crosstalk between ovarian cancer and mesenchymal stem cells. A PubMed search was performed for articles published pertaining to mesenchymal stem cells and specific to ovarian cancer. Results: Mesenchymal stem cells participate to an elaborate crosstalk through direct and paracrine interaction with ovarian cancer cells. They play a role at different stages of the disease: survival and peritoneal infiltration at early stage, proliferation in distant sites, chemoresistance and recurrence at later stage. Conclusion: The dialogue between ovarian and mesenchymal stem cells induces the constitution of a pro-tumoral mesencrine niche. Understanding the dynamics of such interaction in a clinical setting might propose new therapeutic strategies
