Sthula Madhumeha (viz-e-viz type 2Diabetes Mellitus) is the vital problem in present era. The change in lifestyle and food habit is the major concern of the problem. The available drug therapy concentrating on levels of blood sugar rather than symptoms of patients like excessive thirst, Nocturnal enuresis, burning sensation in hands, feet and many more. Ayurveda emphasized more on these symptoms. These symptoms affects the patients routine life and work capacity. On behalf of these symptoms the role of Mamajjak Choorna which is described by Acharya Priyavrat Sharma in his book Dravya guna Vidnyan Vol. 2 page 705 found to be more effective in comparison to modern oral hypoglycemic and well practiced drug Metformin. Total 40 patients of newly diagnosed of Diabetes Mellitus were taken and divided in two groups as Trial group 20 patients on Mamajjak Choorna 5 gm B.I.D. given for 12 weeks. Control Group 20 patients on tab. Metformin 500 mg B.I.D. given for 12 weeks. On consumption of Mamajjak Choorna for 12 weeks it was found that there is improvement in the symptoms Pipasati Pravrutti (74.27%), Nakta mutrata (83.33%), Hasta-padatala daha (82.5%) Pippalika Sancharvaat prachti (85.71%), Prabhuta Avila mutrata (77.5%), Swedatipravritti (82.5%) so far as consumption of Metformin is concern, it was found as follows Pipasati Pravrutti (64.71%), Nakta mutrata (72.94%), Hasta-padatala daha (51.28%), Pippalika Sancharvaat prachti (50%), Prabhuta Avila mutrata (71.88%), Swedatipravritti (51.16%). With P<0.05 (that highly significant results in Mamajjak Choorna group)

Objective: To evaluate the significance of Eustachian tube (ET) angles and ET pretympanic diameter on high resolution computed tomography (HRCT) Temporal bone in patients with chronic otitis media (COM). Methods: A retrospective study was carried out at Tertiary care centre. Group A included 92 ears with COM (38 patients with bilateral COM and 16 with unilateral COM); and Group B included 108 normal ears (54 patients with bilateral normal ears). Reid plane-ET angle, Tubotympanic angle and the ET pretympanic diameter was evaluated by HRCT temporal bone, and compared in the two groups. Patients with chronic otitis media (Group A) were subdivided into Group A1 (Blocked ET) and Group A2 (Patent ET). The parameters were evaluated and compared in the subgroups too. Results: The mean Reid plane-ET angle and Tubotympanic angle in Group A was 25.41 ± 2.57 and 148.12 ± 3.43 respectively; whereas in Group B it was 27.56 ± 3.62 and 145.14 ± 4.34 respectively. Reid plane-ET angle was significantly less in patients with COM and Tubotympanic angle was significantly more obtuse in COM patients. ET pretympanic diameter was (5.37 ± 2.10) mm in Group A and (6.47 ± 2.40) mm in Group B. It was significantly less in patients with COM. A significant correlation was found between the ET patency and the two ET parameters (Reid plane-ET angle and pretympanic diameter). Conclusions: Eustachian tube angles in adults may play a significant role in the etiology of chronic otitis media. Decrease in Reid plane-ET angle and pretympanic diameter on HRCT temporal bone can be used to predict ET dysfunction and to plan the surgical management of chronic otitis media. DESIGN AND FABRICATION OF AUTOMATIC DRAINAGE WASTE REMOVAL EQUIPMENT A REVIEW

    No full text
This paper focuses more on Automation of Drainage waste removal equipment. There is a problem of blockage of drainage, to overcome this problem automation of the system is necessary. Our concept is to use this in efficient way to removal of solid wastages from water. The system only requires water flow to operate turbine. In this paper we working on improving drainage system of small town by comparatively study of different open drainage system

In situ Observation of Phase Transformation in MnAl(C) Magnetic Materials

    No full text
The phase transformation in two modes, including both displacive and massive growth of τ-phase from ε-MnAl(C), was observed by in situ transmission electron microscopy. The exact temperature range for different phase transformation modes was determined by magnetic measurements. The displacive growth of ε→τ in Mn54Al46 (or Mn54Al46C2.44) occurs at temperatures below 650 K (or 766 K), above which both modes coexist. One-third or less of the ε-phase can be transformed into τ-phase via displacive mode while the remaining two-thirds or more via massive mode. In bulk τ-phase, most τ-nanocrystals formed via displacive mode are distributed in the matrix of large τ-grains that formed via massive mode. The typical massive growth rate of the τ-phase is 8–60 nm/s, while the displacive growth rate is low. A more complete understanding of the ε→τ phase transformations in the MnAl-based magnets was provided in this work, based on which the annealing process for ε→τ was optimized and thus high purity τ-phase with high saturation magnetization was obtained

Assay Method Development and Validation for Simultaneous Estimation of Mometasone Furoate and Azelastine HCL for Nasal Spray by RP-HPLC

A simple, precise, accurate, method was developed and validated for analysis of Mometasone Furoate and Azelastine Hydrochloride in nasal spray formulations. For development, different chromatographic condition and stress conditions like acid, base, peroxide, thermal and humidity as per ICH guidelines were used. Method was developed on reversed-phase C18 column using a mobile phase consisting of potassium dihydrogen, phosphate buffer and acetonitrile. Other HPLC parameters were flow rare 1 ml/min, detection wavelength 239 nm, injection volume 20 µl and column temperature 30°C. The developed method was further validated with respect to linearity, precision, accuracy, specificity and robustness. The results obtained were within the acceptance criteria as per ICH guidelines

Electrochemical Investigations of Double Perovskite M2NiMnO6 (Where M = Eu, Gd, Tb) for High-Performance Oxygen Evolution Reaction

    No full text
Double perovskites are known for their special structures which can be utilized as catalyst electrode materials for electrochemical water splitting to generate carbon-neutral hydrogen energy. In this work, we prepared lanthanide series metal-doped double perovskites at the M site such as M2NiMnO6 (where M = Eu, Gd, Tb) using the solid-state reaction method, and they were investigated for an oxygen evolution reaction (OER) study in an alkaline medium. It is revealed that the catalyst with a configuration of Tb2NiMnO6 has outstanding OER properties such as a low overpotential of 288 mV to achieve a current density of 10 mAcm−2, a lower Tafel slope of 38.76 mVdec−1, and a long cycling stability over 100 h of continuous operation. A-site doping causes an alteration in the oxidation or valence states of the NiMn cations, their porosity, and the oxygen vacancies. This is evidenced in terms of the Mn4+/Mn3+ ratio modifying electronic properties and the surface which facilitates the OER properties of the catalyst. This is discussed using electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) and electrochemical surface area (ECSA) of the catalysts. The proposed work is promising for the synthesis and utilization of future catalyst electrodes for high-performance electrochemical water splitting
