In the adaptive reuse of the Paisley Mill, the intent of the design was to reflect the original use and construction of the mill. Additions and modifications were minimized and struct1Jral elements were exposed. The exterior elements in the renovation replaces a portion of he original painted wood siding with glazing which provides a connection for the interior spaces to the environment. allowing t-he green wall to reflect the surrounding woodlands. The new construction mainly involves the addition of this curtain wall assembly in select bays. The glazing continues from the roof to the ground floor allowing light and views between the interior and exterior. As the original cladding is retained on the exterior, the exposed structural members increase the presence of the building\u27s original construction on the interior, reflecting t-he long history of the building. This section shows the details of these floors and connections

Alcune considerazioni sul rapporto tra semantica e metafisica nella teoria degli eventi di Kim

    Get PDF

On extensions of two results due to Ramanujan

The aim in this note is to provide a generalization of an interesting entry in Ramanujan’s notebooks that relate sums involving the derivatives of a function φ(t) evaluated at 0 and 1. The generalization obtained is derived with the help of expressions for the sum of terminating 3F2 hypergeometric functions of argument equal to 2, recently obtained by Kim et. al. [Two results for the terminating 3F2(2) with applications, Bulletin of the Korean Mathematical Society 2012; 49: 621-633]. Several special cases are given. In addition we generalize a summation formula to include integral parameter differences

    The Minimal Automorphism-Free Tree

A finite tree TT with V(T)2|V(T)| \geq 2 is called {\it automorphism-free} if there is no non-trivial automorphism of TT. Let AFT\mathcal{AFT} be the poset with the element set of all finite automorphism-free trees (up to graph isomorphism) ordered by T1T2T_1 \preceq T_2 if T1T_1 can be obtained from T2T_2 by successively deleting one leaf at a time in such a way that each intermediate tree is also automorphism-free. In this paper, we prove that AFT\mathcal{AFT} has a unique minimal element. This result gives an affirmative answer to the question asked by Rupinski.Comment: 8 pages, 5 figure
