The development of mobile robot for air pollution data capture (POPOBOT)
In the Modern era, the environmental issues have given significant impact to the
human live. The air pollution indoor and outdoor environment sometimes dangerous
to the human health and it needs to be justified. To fulfill this purpose, telemeasurement

parameters sensors is developed.
The robot is controlled using remote control and using wireless connection system.
The air quality in target area will be monitored by using sensors which will capture
data and send it to the Central Control (laptop) for analyzing. And then to be able
monitor certain area investigation, the mobile robot is guided by using wireless
camera. Result from this project can make user to monitor and navigate the target
area by using mobile robot and this can make user know the situation on that area.
PIC16F887A has been chosen in this project as the main device which is controlling
all activities of the mobile robot. Data capture and robot movement has been done in
wireless to make user easy to do the monitoring activities. From result, knowing that
the error percentage of the data capture is small compare to the digital meter. So
from that knowing this project is effective because it make user easy to do air
pollution monitoring process also can prevent the gas poisoning cases from happen
Can Heavy WIMPs Be Captured by the Earth?
If weakly interacting massive particles (WIMPs) in bound solar orbits are
systematically driven into the Sun by solar-system resonances (as Farinella et
al. have shown is the case for many Earth-crossing asteroids), then the capture
of high-mass WIMPs by the Earth would be affected dramatically because
high-mass WIMPs are captured primarily from bound orbits. WIMP capture would be
eliminated for M_x>630 GeV and would be highly suppressed for M_x>~150 GeV.
Annihilation of captured WIMPs and anti-WIMPs is expected to give rise to
neutrinos coming from the Earth's center. The absence of such a neutrino signal
has been used to place limits on WIMP parameters. At present, one does not know
if typical WIMP orbits are in fact affected by these resonances. Until this
question is investigated and resolved, one must (conservatively) assume that
they are. Hence, limits on high-mass WIMP parameters are significantly weaker
than previously believed.Comment: 8 pages + 1 figure. Submitted to Ap
Analisa Laju Kegagalan Recloser untuk Mengurangi Kerugian Akibat Tidak Tersedianya Cadangan Recloser di PT. Chevron Pacific Indonesia - Riau
In PT. Chevron Pacific Indonesia (PT. CPI), recloser is an important equipment for electric power systems that supposedly able to work optimally in a variety conditions probably happens on the systems. One of the causes of the losses incurred in PT.CPI is because of the recloser failure. Recloser failure is indeed a normal thing to happen, but the problem is when there is a failure (permanent damage) to the recloser which means that they must do the replacement, there is no backup available. This study aims to determine how often the recloser failure occur. So that, by knowing these things and from calculations carried out, will be obtained spare of recloser that must be available in a certain period. And by knowing the spare of recloser, the loss due to unavailability of backup recloser can be minimized and even eliminated
Characterization of LUSI Mud as Geopolymer Raw Material
The mud of mud volcano samples were collected from an eruption site named âLUSIâ
(Lumpur âmudâ âSidoarjo), East Java, Indonesia for characterization. Analysis showed that, the
major constituents of mud are SiO2 and Al2O3 which are higher than those in fly ash. The particle of
mud has a flake-shaped particle and the overall particle size is dominated by particles between
2.5ÎŒm â 25.0ÎŒm. The results of XRD shows that mud of mud volcano have a characteristic of
structurally disordered compounds, and a set of peaks corresponding to minor crystalline phases
such as quartz, feldspars, and kaolinite. FTIR adsorption bands of the raw material of mud have the
chemical bonding between bands 1-5
