    PENERAPAN METODE SCRAMBLE PADA TEMA DAERAH TEMPAT TINGGALKU KELAS IV SDN LIDAH WETAN 4 SURABAYA

    Abstrak Latar belakang penelitian ini yaitu hasil belajar siswa yang masih rendah atau di bawah KKM pada tema 8 “Daerah Tempat Tinggalku” Subtema 2 “Keunikan Daerah Tempat Tinggalku khususnya pada muatan IPS pada kelas IV SDN Lidah Wetan 4 Surabaya. Tujuan dari penelitian yang menerapkan metode pembelajaran scramble yaitu peneliti ingin mendeskripsikan penerapan metode scramble, meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa, dan mengetahui kendala-kendala yang terjadi dan cara mengatasinya. Penelitian ini menggunakan Penelitian Tindakan Kelas yang menggunakan teknik analisis data kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Persentase keterlaksanaan penerapan metode scramble mengalami peningkatan yakni pada siklus I 84% dan pada siklus II 100%. Nilai ketercapaian guru dalam pembelajaran mengalami peningkatan yaitu siklus I 78 dan pada siklus II menjadi 95,5. Hasil belajar siswa juga meningkat pada siklus I 62,9% dan pada siklus II 88,9%. Kendala-kendala yang terjadi pada siklus I yaitu guru meninggalkan kelas untuk menemui tamu dan suara gaduh dari kelas lain (kelas III). Kendala tersebut dapat diatasi pada siklus II dengan baik sehingga tidak ada kendala lagi yang muncul. Dari hasil tersebut, dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan metode pembelajaran scramble mampu meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa kelas IV SDN Lidah Wetan 4 Surabaya. The purpose of the research applying scramble learning method that researchers want to describe the application of scramble method, improve student learning outcomes, and know the constraints that occur and how to overcome them. This research uses Classroom Action Research using qualitative and quantitative data analysis techniques. Percentage of implementation implementation of scramble method has increased that is in cycle I 84% and in cycle II 100%. The value of teacher achievement in learning has increased that is cycle I 78 and in cycle II become 95,5. Student learning outcomes also increased in cycle I 62.9% and in cycle II 88.9%. Constraints that occur in the first cycle is the teacher left the class to meet guests and noise from other class (class III). The constraints can be overcome in cycle II well so that no more constraints arise. From these results, it can be concluded that the application of scramble learning method can improve student learning outcomes fourth grade student state elementary school of Lidah Wetan 4 Surabaya.     Education is one alternative in forming a good character in a person, character formation can not only be obtained from education but can also be obtained in the family, everyday life and even culture can shape one's character. It can be concluded that character building is still very much needed among the community, especially for children's growth in the development of the times, because with the existing reality that the character possessed by most children is very degenerate due to a lack of good and correct education and the large influence of outside culture which is more dominant in style. life of today's children. With the existence of Christian religious education is one of the efforts in shaping one's character well by keeping the context of teaching with the existing culture in the surrounding environment so that simultaneously the formation of character in the family can be carried out properly and culture can be understood correctly

    Phenomenological Exploration of the Characteristics of Successful Women Entrepreneurs

    Women-owned businesses are the fastest growing segment in the United States economy. Between 1997 and 2007, women-owned businesses grew twice as fast as male-owned businesses, and accounted for nearly one-third of all privately held businesses. In 2007, almost 7.9 million women-owned businesses were in existence, compensating 7.6 million employees, supplying almost three trillion dollars to the United States economy. Little information is known about women entrepreneurs, causing a serious deficiency in the effort to increase the overall quantity of women entrepreneurs in the United States. Using a qualitative phenomenological research design, oral interviews were conducted, which addressed the lived experiences and successes of selected women entrepreneurs. The women were asked which personal characteristics contributed to individual success. Individual success stories provided the perceptions and lived experiences of a purposive sample of 10 successful women entrepreneurs who owned and operated a business at least two years, and met a financial or non-financial goal. Ten significant themes were identified: perseverance, providing good customer service, personality, tenacity, stamina, customer loyalty, refusal to fail, quality of products, individual childhood entrepreneurship, and community charity. Future research regarding life history, education, and family structure is needed to increase the knowledge regarding the examination of women entrepreneurs. Studies exploring the influence of family-member entrepreneurs on the career and decision of women to enter into entrepreneurship, or influence of genetic factors on the likelihood to pursue entrepreneurial activity, may help in understanding the long-term impact on successful women entrepreneurs. Additional research could be done on the childhood experiences of successful women entrepreneurs, such as: Does childhood vending/retailing have an effect on entrepreneurial success? Does childhood play, such as participation in life-based board games (i.e. monopoly or careers), or playing "store" have an effect on entrepreneurial success? Exploring the impact age has on women's capability to achieve success or the personal needs women meet through entrepreneurship that cannot be met through traditional employment, may also assist in understanding women entrepreneurs
