    Son yıllarda teknolojik, ekonomik, siyasal, ekolojik ve toplumsal alanlarda yaşanan hızlı ve güçlü değişim, işletmelerin varlıklarını derinden tehdit etmektedir. Sınırların ortadan kalktığı, bilgi ve iletişim teknolojilerinin bütün örgütsel süreçlere müdahale ettiği yeni ekonomik düzende, işletmelerin kendilerini tehdit eden değişim olgusunu fırsatlara dönüştürebilmek önemli bir yönetsel sorun olarak ortaya çıkmıştır. Bu çalışma örgütsel değişimi ve işletmelerin örgütsel değişim potansiyellerini inceleyen bir araştırmadır. Araştırmanın amacı değişimin Çorlu-Çerkezköy Bölgesi'ndeki faaliyet gösteren tekstil sektörü üzerindeki etkilerini incelemek ve işletmelerin örgütsel değişim potansiyellerini ortaya çıkarmaktır. Araştırma tasarımı iki aşamadan oluşmaktadır. Bu çerçevede araştırmanın birinci aşamasında örgütsel değişim kavramı ve bu kavrama ilişkin temel unsurlar tanımlanmak amacıyla keşfedici araştırma yürütülmüştür. Araştırmanın ikinci aşamasında ise işletmelerin örgütsel değişim potansiyellerini incelemek amacıyla geliştirilen hipotezler, Ki Kare uygunluk testi ile sınanmıştır. Veriler, anket metodu kullanılarak toplanmıştır. Ampirik araştırma sonucu göstermektedir ki Çorlu-Çerkezköy Bölgesindeki tekstil işletmeleri değişim faaliyetlerinde, değişimin teknolojik boyutunu dikkate alırken, sosyal beşeri boyutlarını ihmal etmektedirler.The quick and powerful changes in technological, economical, political and social areas in last few years, threatens the very foundations of business administration. In the new economical system where the borders have removed and where information and communication technologies intervened nearly all the organizational processes, to convert the change case which threatens these business enterprises into opportunities has become a new administrative problem. This work is a research which examines the organizational changes and the potential of organizational changes of business enterprises. The aim of this research is to examine the effects of changes in the textile sector in Çorlu-Çerkezköy area, and to reveal the potential of organizational changes. The scheme of research is made up of two parts. In this perspective, in the first part of the research in order to define the concept of organizational changes and the basic principles of this concept a discovery research has been made. In the second part of the research the hypotheses which have been generated in order to examine the potentials of the organizational changes in these business enterprises have all been tried with the Chi Square convenience tests.     Perceptions of Spirituality and Spiritual Care of Health Professionals Working in a State Hospital

    Background: The determination and fulfillment of the spiritual needs of the individual in times of crisis can be realized by the health care professionals having the knowledge and skills to provide individual-specific care. This research was conducted to determine the perceptions of health professionals about spirituality and spiritual care. Methods: The study of 197 health professionals working in a state hospital was performed. This study is a descriptive study which was conducted between December 2017 and January 2018. Data in the form of an “Introductory Information Form” and “Spirituality and Spiritual Care Grading Scale” was collected. In the analysis of the data, the Mann–Whitney U test, Kruskal–Wallis tests, frequency as percentage, and scale scores as mean and standard deviation were used. Results: It was determined that 45.7% of the health professionals were trained in spiritual care, but that they were unable to meet their patients’ spiritual care needs due to the intensive work environment and personnel insufficiency. The total score averaged by the health professionals on the spirituality and spiritual care grading scales was 52.13 ± 10.13. Conclusions: The findings of the research show that health professionals are inadequate in spiritual care initiatives and that their knowledge levels are not at the desired level. With in-service trainings and efforts to address these deficiencies, spiritual care initiatives can be made part of the recovery process

Therefore firms have to design their organization structure that encourage to innovation. Mintzberg’s adhocratic organization structure was investigated in this article. Thus, its aim of this study leads to resemblance and diversity between theory and practice via of the theoretical knowledge.     The ethical behavior of academics regarding informatics: A comparative assessment between state and foundation universities

    Today's technology advances at such a pace that we can no longer keep up with it. Computers, Internet and communication technologies have brought into our lives some benefits as well as some problems. Ethics and ethical behavior that has been subject to discussion since the old ages have gained a very different dimension with the introduction of the information technologies. New ethical problems have emerged, and ethical values have once more gained importance in the fight against these problems. This research defines the ethics and the informatics ethics briefly and assesses the ethical behavior of academics in state and foundation universities to identify if there is a significant difference of ethical behavior regarding informatics between these two groups. Accepting the universities in the Marmara region as the population, the research takes 154 academics as sampling. At the end of the research, it is concluded that there is a difference between the genders in terms of the information integrity, between the tenures in terms of intellectual property, and between the academic titles in terms of informatics ethic behavior regarding intellectual property and safety and quality

    A knowledge-based risk mapping tool for cost estimation of international construction projects

    Effective risk assessment and management is critical for success in international construction projects. This paper proposes a knowledge-based risk mapping tool for systematically assessing risk-related variables that may lead to cost overrun in international markets. The tool uses an ontology that relates risk and vulnerability to cost overrun [1] and a novel risk-vulnerability assessment methodology [2] to estimate potential risk paths that may emerge in international construction projects. The tool has been developed in collaboration with an industrial partner, a construction management company that gives risk management consultancy services to Turkish contractors working in international markets. The tool has been designed by using the previous projects of the partner firm as test cases and preferences of company professionals are taken into account while determining the functions of the tool. As the reliability and usability of the tool significantly depend on the subjective evaluations of users about level of vulnerability and magnitude of potential risk events, a lessons learned database has been incorporated into the tool so that decision-makers may refer to risk event histories of previous projects to make estimations about forthcoming projects. In order to evaluate the usability of the tool, a usability test has been conducted by eight construction experts. Usability test results demonstrated that the tool can be utilized for prediction of probable risk paths and their impact on cost. Results of a case study, a building project in Serbia, have also been reported in this paper to demonstrate the functions and the performance of the tool. Although the usability and reliability test results are satisfactory, the tool should be seen as an initial platform which should be improved by increasing its "intelligence" by high quality and enough number of risk event histories, and also customized according to user preferences as well as company policies

    İstanbul Protokolü Eğitimleri Öncesi Türkiye Genelinden Gözaltı Giriş ve Çıkış Raporlarının Değerlendirilmesi

    Türk Tabipleri Birliği ve İşkence Kurbanları İçin Uluslararası Rehabilitasyon Konseyi işbirliği ile 2007-2009 yılları arasında yürütülen; “İstanbul Protokolü Eğitimi Programı: Adli Tıp Uzmanı Olmayan Hekimlerin, Hâkimlerin ve Savcıların Bilgi Düzeyini Yükseltme” projesi kapsamında eğitimlere paralel yürütülen bir dizi çalışma olmuştur. İşkencenin önlenmesine katkı amacıyla hekimlik uygulamaları ile tıbbi ve yasal prosedürün geliştirilmesine ilişkin çalışmalardan biri de Türkiye genelinden gözaltı giriş ve çıkış raporlarının değerlendirilmesidir. Bu çalışmada; gözaltı giriş ve çıkış muayene ve raporlamasının; İstanbul Protokolü eğitimlerinin öncesinde uygulamada nasıl yapıldığını ortaya koyabilmek ve İstanbul Protokolüne uygunluğu yönünden tespitler yapıp, öneriler geliştirebilmek amaçlanmıştır. Bu amaçla tüm Türkiye genelini en iyi yansıtacak şekilde çok merkezli kalitatif bir çalışma planlandı. Ocak 2008 - Şubat 2009 tarihleri arasında her bölgeden 2 kent olmak üzere toplam 14 farklı ilden, 42 farklı birimden toplanan gözaltı giriş ve çıkış raporları değerlendirildi. Toplanan 1288 raporun analizi; Sağlık Bakanlığı Adli Tabiplik Hizmetlerinin Yürütülmesi esaslarını içeren 2005 Genelgesine ekli Genel Adli Muayene Rapor Formlarının kullanımı ve bu formlarda bulunan her adımı sorgulayan anahtar soru kağıdı oluşturularak gerçekleştirildi. İstanbul Protokolüne uygunluk yönünden yapılan analiz sonuçları hemen hiçbir il ve birimde belirgin bir farklılık göstermiyordu. Bir standart sağlayacak olan genel adli muayene rapor formlarının genelinde kullanılmadığı, bu formlarda olması gereken adımların çoğunun gerçekleştirilmediği, muayene ve raporlamanın her bir aşamasının % 70-100 oranında yapılmadığı tespit edildi. Sonuçlara göre adli tıp uzmanları dahil, adli hekimlik hizmetlerini yürüten hekimlerin İstanbul Protokolü eğitimi alması gereği vurgulandı ve öneriler sunuldu.   Anahtar kelimeler: Adli hekimlik; Eğitim; Genel Adli Muayene Rapor Formları; Gözaltı giriş-çıkış raporu; İstanbul Protokolü.
