Geschlechter(rollen)aspekte in der Arzt-Patient-Interaktion
Für das ärztliche Handeln und die Beziehung zwischen Arzt/Ärztin und Patient/Patientin (A-P-Beziehung) sind Geschlechter- und Geschlechtsrollenaspekte von großer Bedeutung. Geschlechterrollen und -stereotype beeinflussen
einerseits gesundheitsrelevantes Verhalten wie die Inanspruchnahme medizinischer und präventiver Leistungen durch gesunde und erkrankte Personen. Andererseits wird auch das ärztliche Handeln von Geschlechtervariablen beeinflusst, und zwar sowohl in der A-P-Kommunikation als auch in der Diagnose und Therapie. Ein Geschlechterbias
kann hier im ungĂĽnstigen Fall zu Fehldiagnosen und Fehlbehandlungen fĂĽhren. Im vorliegenden Beitrag werden wichtige Geschlechteraspekte in der A-P-Beziehung diskutiert
und anhand exemplarischer Befunde veranschaulicht
The effectiveness of the implementation of the Revised National Curriculum Statement ( RNCS) in public primary schools in the Ekurhuleni-west district.
Educators are experiencing problems in effectively implementing RNCS in the public primary schools in the Ekurhuleni-West district. These problems, in both the Foundation and Intermediate Phases, include poor educator training and development, the scarcity of resources, the added educator workload in implementing the new curriculum and the poor leadership styles of the SMTs. The inability to effectively implement RNCS in the classroom is further exacerbated by minimal educator participation and consultation when the new curriculum was being drafted. Such problems could lead to educator frustration, low morale and demotivation that would negatively affect the quality of teaching and learning in the classroom. It is on this basis that a research study is justified. The research question is “How effective is the implementation of RNCS in the public primary schools in the Ekurhuleni-West district?”Mr. T.S Hlongwan
Climate Change and the Westhampton Lake
The Westhampton Lake is a cultural monument on campus and one of the University of Richmond\u27s most prominent features. Prospective students have made college decisions based on the lake\u27s beauty and alumni look forward to returning to the waterfront to reminisce about their college experience. The significance of place attachment that members of the Richmond community hold toward the lake imbues great value on the lake as a key geographic element of campus (Devine-Wright, 2013). However, our community suffers from a lack of knowledge around the health and sustainability of this dearly beloved body of water. Over the course of the semester, our mission has been to collect and analyze information to educate and advise the student body and faculty on the health and sustainability of Westhampton Lake.

Climate Change and the Westhampton Lake: Review and Recommendations
The Westhampton Lake is a campus icon and one of the University of Richmond\u27s most prominent features. The significant attachment that members of the University community hold toward the lake imbues great value on the lake as a key geographic element of campus (Devine-Wright, 2013). However, the lake’s status as a campus monument does not absolve it from the greater effects of climate change, a phenomenon which will continue to transform the geography and ecology of the lake. Without a concrete understanding of the implications of current and future climate change on campus, the community may leave the Westhampton Lake susceptible to environmentally unsustainable practices which threaten the lake and, thereby, the face of campus. Over the course of the semester, student researchers collected and analyzed existing information about Westhampton Lake so as to educate the greater community on the lake’s health. This research team also offers recommendations so as to sustain the lake in the face of climate change on a local scale.
