Study on non-formal education with older adults in argentino social programs: the case of the town Huerta Grande during the period 2008/2016

La temática de la presente investigación tiene como Objetivo Principal: “Analizar el impacto que ha tenido la implementación de Programas Sociales Argentinos a través de la Educación no Formal con Adultos Mayores en la localidad de Huerta Grande, durante el período 2008 /2016”. Para llegar a resultados certeros y confiables, se llevarán a cabo los objetivos específicos planteados en esta investigación. Se conocerán en profundidad dos (2) Programas Sociales Argentinos: La Experiencia Cuenta y Voluntariado Social de Adultos Mayores, que se implementan desde la Educación no Formal en convenio entre la Dirección Nacional de Políticas para Adultos Mayores y el Municipio de la localidad de Huerta Grande, Departamento Punilla, Provincia de Córdoba. Ambos Programas que tienen un objetivo en común: Mejorar la calidad de vida de los A.M, favoreciendo el empoderamiento de los mismos, con un rol activo y protagónico desde la Educación no Formal. Finalmente, se elabora una propuesta de intervención que intenta ser un aporte sencillo pero valioso a la población estudiada, desde una mirada educativa y social, apostando a revalorizar y respetar al Adulto Mayor. Abstract: The main objective of this research is: "To analyze the impact that the implementation of Argentine Social Programs has had through non-Formal Education with Seniors in the town of Huerta Grande, during the period 2008 /2016". In order to achieve accurate and reliable results, the specific objectives set out in this research will be carried out. Two (2) Argentine Social Programs will be released in depth: The Experience Count and Social Volunteering of Older Adults, which are implemented from non-Formal Education in agreement between the National Policy Directorate for Senior Adults and the Municipality of the town of Huerta Grande, Department Punilla, Province of Córdoba. Both programs that have a common objective: To improve the quality of life of A.M., favoring the empowerment of them, with an active and leading role since Non-Formal Education. Finally, a proposal for intervention is developed that tries to be a simple but valuable contribution to the population studied, from an educational and social gaze, betting on revaluing and respecting the Older Adult

Identification of slit3 as a locus affecting nicotine preference in zebrafish and human smoking behaviour

To facilitate smoking genetics research we determined whether a screen of mutagenized zebrafish for nicotine preference could predict loci affecting smoking behaviour. From 30 screened F-3 sibling groups, where each was derived from an individual ethyl-nitrosurea mutagenized F-0 fish, two showed increased or decreased nicotine preference. Out of 25 inactivating mutations carried by the F-3 fish, one in the slit3 gene segregated with increased nicotine preference in heterozygous individuals. Focussed SNP analysis of the human SLIT3 locus in cohorts from UK (n=863) and Finland (n=1715) identified two variants associated with cigarette consumption and likelihood of cessation. Characterisation of slit3 mutant larvae and adult fish revealed decreased sensitivity to the dopaminergic and serotonergic antagonist amisulpride, known to affect startle reflex that is correlated with addiction in humans, and increased htr1aa mRNA expression in mutant larvae. No effect on neuronal pathfinding was detected. These findings reveal a role for SLIT3 in development of pathways affecting responses to nicotine in zebrafish and smoking in humans.Peer reviewe

Los cien días de Macri en twitter : una lectura desde la analítica cultural

Día a día, los usuarios de Internet dejan huellas tanto voluntaria como involuntariamente en los registros de la red. Páginas visitadas, enlaces pulsados, publicaciones hechas, fotos subidas, videos compartidos, comentarios escritos en algún sitio de noticias, generan un volumen de información nunca antes producido. Ante esta abundancia, la comunicación entre las personas y los temas circulantes modifica la manera de asir lo que se presenta como relevante y lo que no, y abre, al mismo tiempo, posibilidades para su estudio. \n\nLas redes sociales han dado a la política una dimensión nueva. La facilidad de publicación, rapidez de procesamiento y la posibilidad de acceso a los hechos han logrado que los grandes medios masivos no sean los únicos capaces de construir acontecimientos y destacar los temas en agenda. De esta forma, la construcción de los acontecimientos políticos se diversifica al ampliarse los medios disponibles para la publicación y su circulación. \n\nEn este trabajo realizaremos un estudio sobre la construcción del acontecimiento político alrededor de los primeros 100 días de gobierno de Mauricio Macri en Twitter, a partir del seguimiento de la etiqueta #100DíasdeMacri y sus términos de búsqueda. La opinión dispersa de los usuarios de esta red de microblogging se torna relevante cuando el volumen es grande y se puede leer en conjunto. Por ello, analizaremos las publicaciones hechas por los usuarios, a partir de recolectarlas como una gran base de datos, y de accionar sobre ellas valiéndonos de los acercamientos metodológicos de la analítica cultural (Manovich, 2011) y la lectura distante (Moretti, 2007).\n\nPara realizarlo, contaremos con un proceso de extracción, procesamiento, visualización y análisis de los tuits producidos entre el 11 de marzo y el 1 de abril de 2016. Allí buscaremos identificar actores y encontrar vínculos que nos permitan reconocer particularidades de la conversación en esta red social, y al mismo tiempo establecer la relevancia de Twitter como medio social en el presente de la comunicación política en Internet. De esta forma, pondremos en acción herramientas y metodologías propuestas a la hora de analizar un caso concreto en medios sociales, para mostrar sus características, alcances y limitaciones. En este trabajo realizaremos un estudio sobre la actividad de usuarios en Twitter cumplidos los primeros 100 días de gobierno de Mauricio Macri, a partir del seguimiento de la etiqueta #100DíasdeMacri y sus términos de búsqueda. La opinión dispersa de los usuarios de esta red de microblogging se torna relevante cuando el volumen es grande y se puede leer en conjunto. Por ello, analizaremos las publicaciones hechas por los usuarios, a partir de recolectarlas como una gran base de datos, y de accionar sobre ellas valiéndonos de los acercamientos metodológicos de la analítica cultural (Manovich, 2011) y la lectura distante (Moretti, 2007). Sequence of primers designed to study nicotinic receptor subunit mRNA levels in the zebrafish brain.

<p>Primers were designed by using Beacon Designer Software (Premier Biosoft International, Palo Alto, CA) from exonic sequences of the zebrafish genome reported in the Ensembl database. The selected primer pairs were specific for the receptor subunit of interest and did not hybridize with other sequences.</p
