    Bibliometric Analysis of Studies on Social Innovation

    The aim of the current study is to examine the scientific publications produced in the field of social innovation (SI) during a period of roughly 40 years through 1975-2018. The analysis based on the bibliometric evaluation of all publications indexed in the Web of Science (WoS) database including "Social Innovation" (SI) phrase in the title, abstract or key words. The research is carried out through parameters including the number of publications in line with the years, authors, journals and country, publication types, citation analyses, collaborations and also concept-topic tendencies. Results indicated that the vast majority of SI studies are published as an “article”. Respectively, UK, USA and Italy are the top three leading countries that contribute to the SI literature. Design Journal” is a prominent domain of SI research and the field is multidisciplinary. Findings also demonstrated that Mumford Michael D.  is the most productive scholar in the field of SI whereas Swyngedouw E. produced  the most cited article in the WOS. Finally, a significant increase in the number of publications published in SI field is remarkable since 2015 which leads the conclusion that the topic has gained momentum in recent years among the academicians

    Mediating role of job satisfaction in the relationship between organizational identification and organizational commitment: An empirical study on ship agency employees

    Understanding the relationship between an organization and the employees in that organization is of paramount importance for the success and future of that organization. This is related to the measurement of the organizational attitudes and behaviours of employees and the use of these attitudes and behaviours for forward-looking predictions. This being said, the aim of the study is to explore the relationship between the organizational identification levels of employees in ship agencies, and their job satisfaction and organizational commitment. For the purpose of this study, the data were obtained from 265 employees of different ship agencies in the cities of Istanbul and Kocaeli, Turkey, through questionnaire. The data then were analyzed via the structural equation modeling analyses, which were conducted using AMOS v22 by Bootstrap resampling with 5000 replications; the results have showed that organizational identification has both a positive direct and an indirect effect on organizational commitment, the latter through job satisfaction. Further, this study revealed that organizational identification, together with job satisfaction, explained about 0.59% of the variation in organizational commitment

    The Moderating Effects of Motivating Job Characteristics on the Relationship between Burnout and Turnover Intention

    AbstractThe aim of this paper is to examine the moderating role played by three motivating job characteristics (autonomy, feedback, skill variety) in the relationship between burnout and turnover intention in a sample of 161 respondents. Data obtained from questionnaires will be analyzed through the SPSS statistical packet program. The Sobel test is used to measure the significance of moderating effects of motivating job characteristics. The findings revealed that employees who reported that they were more exhausted, more cynical, feel less professional efficacy had more intention to leave their organization. However, the findings also indicate that there is no significant moderation effect relationship between motivating job characteristics and turnover intention

Bu nedenle, bu çalışmanın amacı örgüt iklimi boyutlarının (örgütselcesaretlendirme, yönetim desteği, takım desteği, otonomi, katılım esnekliği, iletişim)yeniliğe destek algısı üzerindeki etkilerini incelemektir. Burada amaç, yeniliği artıracakya da engelleyecek örgüt iklimi faktörlerini belirlemeye çalışarak, işletme yöneticilerineyardımcı olmaktır. Kocaeli bölgesinde faaliyet gösteren 86 işletmeden elde edilenveriler, değişkenler arasındaki ilişkileri incelemek üzere kullanılmıştır. Veriler, faktöranalizinden sonra korelasyon analizi ve regresyon modelleri ile analiz edilmiştir.Araştırma bulguları, örgüt iklimi boyutlarının yeniliğe destek algısını etkilediğinigöstermektedir. The management of organizational climate is fairly important in terms of improvinginnovation in organizations. For that reason, the aim of this study is to investigate theeffects of organizational climate dimensions (organizational encouragement,supervisory support, team support, otonomy, participation flexibility andcommunication) on perception of support for innovation. Here the aim is trying to helpadministrators by determining the factors that increase or prevent innovation. Dataobtained from 86 enterprises that are operating in Kocaeli is used in order to analyzethe relationships among variables. After factor analysis, data is tested throughcorrelation analysis and regression analysis.     The Impact of HRM Capabilities on Innovation Mediated by Knowledge Management Capability

    AbstractNowadays, managers recognize the value of knowledge as an intangible asset which stimulates innovation in organisations. However, few studies examine the role of human resource management in fostering knowledge capability which leads more innovation in enterprises. For this reason, this paper investigates the impacts of the policies and practices of human resource management in the relationship between knowledge management capability on innovation. The study is empirically based on the primary data collected from 122 medium and large sized organizations that are registered to Kocaeli Chamber of Industry, operating in Kocaeli, one of the most important industrial cities of Turkey. Data obtained from questionnaires will be analyzed through the SPSS statistical packet program and PLS-Graph. The Sobel test is used to measure the significance of mediation effect of knowledge management capability. The results indicate that Human Resource Management (HRM) Capabilities are positively related to Knowledge Management (KM) Capability which turn into innovation. Furthermore, HRM Capabilities have both direct and indirect effect mediated by KM Capabilities on Innovation
