The article is devoted to the use of simulation case assignments in the learning process of students pursuing a Master's degree in "State and Municipal Management" at Russian State Social University. This university was established in 1991 for the high-quality training of specialists in the social sphere. The specialty "State and Municipal Management" enables students to explore the theoretical and practical levels, the essence and features of management interactions in the system of state and municipal administration, the main objectives, tasks and mechanisms of governance at the state and municipal levels, the methods and means of attracting investments in the economy of the municipality and the region, the features of the management system of the asset portfolio. The discipline "Sociology of Management" is the base for the direction of training "State and Municipal Management". The knowledge and skills acquired during the study contribute to a better understanding of the social, political, and economic patterns of management processes. Management sociology is a science which summarizes all management sciences in terms of targeting and special study of the patterns of managerial relations at all levels of society and its elements' functioning, as well as in all subject areas, the spheres of activity in society. The study of sociology as a science about relationships in the process of governance, connections, and interactions of the subjects of management activity in Russia has started relatively recently. In the mid-1990s, scientific readings and conferences were focused on the definition of the substantive field of science, its structure. Over these years, the situation has been as follows. The sociologists who violently debated and developed this scientific direction, after the appearance of the specialty "Management in Social Sphere" in 1996, in 1999 - the specialty "State and Municipal Management", and in 2002 - the specialty "Personnel Management", handed the study of this discipline to managers. And all of these management specialties found themselves in the consolidated group of professions "Economics and Management". This greatly affected the gap in the subject field of management itself. Most economists imagined that management is economics. The lawyers of those universities where departments of "Public Administration and Legal Support" were established never doubted that management is a legal sphere of activity. None of them paid special attention to the sociological component. However, those universities, which in the course of training in the field of state and municipal government created departments of sociology management in their structure or modules in the curricula, provide the most high-quality preparation of future managers. © 2018 Authors

The aim of the study is to study the formation of a culture of life safety as the basis for the maturation of young people. Methods used: analysis of theoretical sources, statistical data, comparative analysis. The concepts of “life safety culture”, “informing” and “modern risks” are disclosed. The advantages of informing young people about modern risks for the continuous formation of a culture of life safety are described. It was revealed that the lack of education programs in secondary vocational institutions, taking into account modern risks, does not fully ensure the healthy maturation of young people and may be the cause of deviant behavior. The result of the article can be applied when updating life safety training programs in secondary professional institutions. Thanks to due attention to this problem, it is possible to introduce novelty in the field of life safety and reduce the rates of deviant behavior of young people aged 15–35 years

Criteria for analysis and comparison of experimental data under conditions of uncertainty

The paper deals with investigation of the important problem of processing the ophthalmic data on the post-operation status of patients. The groups of patients differ by the type (technology) of fixing the intraocular lenses (IOL). Validity of each type of technology is estimated by computation of criteria for distinction of data between groups. The initial information comprises measurements of several ophthalmic indices. The samples on each index are very short; in each index, as a rule, the samples of patients' groups overlap each other; any probabilistic characteristics of the measuring indices are unknown; any probabilistic characteristics of the measuring errors are also unknown. So, the standard methods of mathematical statistics can be applied only in the formal way and have shown to be inefficient. In contrast, the Hausdorff distance (from the set theory) as the criterion of distinction between two samples (both for one- and, especially, for two-dimensional indices) demonstrated to be reliable to distinct the patient's status. Computations of the Hausdorff distance are valid for any relative location of point sets under comparison. © 2020 American Institute of Physics Inc.. A new optimal method of preparing one of the human biosubstrates (hair) to an arc atomic emission spectral analysis is proposed on the basis of complex physical and chemical studies. A new method of determining the content of macro- and micro-elements is developed. Following the developed technique we performed analysis of hairs in group of patients in order to diagnose diseases additionally, assess the habitat, and restore the element balance in the body. Comparing the content of elements in the human hair with reference values, it is possible to assess the degree of element imbalance in the body. This technique has passed metrological certification. Obtained by this method results of analysis of hair were used to identify clinical and laboratory correlations, to determine the elemental human status, and to diagnose various diseases

Molecular structure and conformations of eight-membered cyclic acetals with 1,4-diplanar fragments

    Get PDF
The molecular structures of nine eight-membered cyclic acetals containing two planar fragments in the ring, the derivatives of dibenzo- and dinaphtho[d,g][1,3]dioxocines, have been studied by x-ray single crystal diffraction. Steric interactions were found to determine the conformation realized in the crystalline phase. Depending on the type of planar fragments in the cycle and the group bridging them, boat-chair (BC), distorted boat (DB), twist (T) or twist-boat (TB) conformations were observed. The BC conformation was found for derivatives of 6H,12H-dibenzo[d,g][1,3]dioxocine containing methyl groups in the benzo fragments or one methyl substituent in the bridge methylene group. The T and TB conformations are realized for molecules with the carbonyl group bridging the planar fragments. 8H,16H-Dinaphtho[2,1-d,1′2′-g][1,3]dioxocine exhibits the first example of BC conformation among all eight-membered cyclic compounds containing two naphtho groups at the expense of large deviations of its geometrical parameters from their unstrained values. Other dinaphtho derivatives exist in the DB conformation. The molecular geometry and the possibility of weak intramolecular CH⋯O hydrogen bonding are discussed. © 1995
