Copper Triflate-Mediated Synthesis of 1,3,5-triarylpyrazoles in [bmim][PF6] Ionic Liquid and Evaluation of Their Anticancer Activities
A simple, efficient, and environment friendly protocol for the synthesis of 1,3,5-triarylpyrazoles and 1,3,5-triarylpyrazolines in [bmim][PF6] ionic liquid mediated by Cu(OTf)2 is described. The reaction protocol gave 1,3,5-triarylpyrazoles in good to high yields (71–84%) via a one-pot addition–cyclocondensation between chalcones and arylhydrazines, and oxidative aromatization without the requirement for an additional oxidizing reagent. The catalyst can be reused for up to four cycles without much loss in the catalytic activity. The pyrazoles (4a–o) and pyrazolines (3a–n) were evaluated for their antiproliferative activity in SK-OV-3, HT-29, and HeLa human cancer cells lines. Among all the compounds, 3b inhibited cell proliferation of HeLa cells by 80% at a concentration of 50 μM

Carbocyclodipeptides as modified nucleosides: synthesis and anti-HIV activities
A new class of nucleoside analogues were synthesized using cyclic dipeptides and modified 2′-deoxyfuranoribose sugars to introduce flexibility by peptides in place of common nucleoside bases and to determine their biological properties. The synthesis was carried out by coupling of a protected ribose sugar with synthesized dipeptides in the presence of hexamethyldisilazane and trimethylsilyltriflate. The final products were characterized by NMR and high-resolution MS-TOF spectroscopy. The compounds were evaluated for anti-HIV activities. 1-(4-Azido-5-(hydroxymethyl)tetrahydrofuran-2-yl)-3,6-diisopropylpiperazine-2,5-dione (compound 14) containing 3- and 6-isopropyl groups in the base and 3′-azide (EC50 = 1.96 μmol/L) was the most potent compound among all of the synthesized analogs
Synthesis and antiproliferative activities of quebecol and its analogs
Simple and efficient synthesis of quebecol and a number of its analogs was accomplished in five steps. The synthesized compounds were evaluated for antiproliferative activities against human cervix adenocarcinoma (HeLa), human ovarian carcinoma (SK-OV-3), human colon carcinoma (HT-29), and human breast adenocarcinoma (MCF-7) cancer cell lines. Among all the compounds, 7c, 7d, 7f, and 8f exhibited antiproliferative activities against four tested cell lines with inhibition over 80% at 75 μM after 72 h, whereas, compound 7b and 7g were more selective towards MCF-7 cell line. The IC50 values for compounds 7c, 7d, and 7f were 85.1 μM, 78.7 μM, and 80.6 μM against MCF-7 cell line, respectively, showing slightly higher antiproliferative activtiy than the synthesized and isolated quebecol with an IC50 value of 104.2 μM against MCF-7.

Survey data on the impact of COVID-19 on parental engagement across 23 countries
This data article describes the dataset of the International COVID-19 Impact on Parental Engagement Study (ICIPES). ICIPES is a collaborative effort of more than 20 institutions to investigate the ways in which, parents and caregivers built capacity engaged with children's learning during the period of social distancing arising from global COVID-19 pandemic. A series of data were collected using an online survey conducted in 23 countries and had a total sample of 4,658 parents/caregivers. The description of the data contained in this article is divided into two main parts. The first part is a descriptive analysis of all the items included in the survey and was performed using tables and figures. The second part refers to the construction of scales. Three scales were constructed and included in the dataset: 'parental acceptance and confidence in the use of technology', 'parental engagement in children's learning' and 'socioeconomic status'. The scales were created using Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA) and Multi-Group Confirmatory Analysis (MG-CFA) and were adopted to evaluate their cross-cultural comparability (i.e., measurement invariance) across countries and within sub-groups. This dataset will be relevant for researchers in different fields, particularly for those interested in international comparative education

One-pot regioselective synthesis of tetrahydroindazolones and evaluation of their antiproliferative and Src kinase inhibitory activities
A number of 2-substituted tetrahydroindazolones were synthesized by three-component condensation reaction of 1,3-diketones, substituted hydrazines, benzaldehydes, and Yb(OTf)3 as a catalyst in [bmim][BF4] ionic liquid using a simple, efficient, and economical one-pot method. The synthesized tetrahydroindazolones were evaluated for inhibition of cell proliferation of human colon carcinoma (HT-29), human ovarian adenocarcinoma (SK-OV-3), and c-Src kinase activity. 3,4-Dichlorophenyl tetrahydroindazolone derivative (15) inhibited the cell proliferation of HT-29 and SK-OV-3 cells by 62% and 58%, respectively. 2,3-Diphenylsubstituted tetrahydroindazolone derivatives, 19, 25, and 33, inhibited the cell proliferation of HT-29 cells by 65–72% at a concentration of 50 μM. In general, the tetrahydroindazolones showed modest inhibition of c-Src kinase where 4-tertbutylphenyl- (32) and 3,4-dichlorophenyl- (13) derivatives showed the inhibition of c-Src kinase with IC50 values of 35.1 and 50.7 μM, respectively.

Not AvailableSorghum, castor and pigeonpea were grown under irrigated and rainfed conditions during kharif 1990 to study response of root growth under limited water condition. Water stress decreased root growth and biomass in sorghum. In castor, water stress altered root-shoot ratio in favour of root growth. In pigeonpea, it decreased total root dry weight but increased in root volume by reduction in root density. By increase in root growth in castor and volume in pigeonpea, the adaptive responses were documented.Not Availabl
