Proptosis due to otolaryngology causes a study
Proximity of orbit to nose and paranasal sinuses makes it rather vulnerable to insults due to otolaryngological causes. The medial wall of orbit (Lamina papyracea) is rather paper thin and ithappens to form the lateral wall of anterior ethmoid air cells. Infections / tumors involving paranasal sinuses can involve orbit also causing proptosis. The aim of the article is to study thecommon otolaryngological causes of proptosis in our Institution during 2009 – 2012.
Estimation of Defect proneness Using Design complexity Measurements in Object- Oriented Software
Software engineering is continuously facing the challenges of growing
complexity of software packages and increased level of data on defects and
drawbacks from software production process. This makes a clarion call for
inventions and methods which can enable a more reusable, reliable, easily
maintainable and high quality software systems with deeper control on software
generation process. Quality and productivity are indeed the two most important
parameters for controlling any industrial process. Implementation of a
successful control system requires some means of measurement. Software metrics
play an important role in the management aspects of the software development
process such as better planning, assessment of improvements, resource
allocation and reduction of unpredictability. The process involving early
detection of potential problems, productivity evaluation and evaluating
external quality factors such as reusability, maintainability, defect proneness
and complexity are of utmost importance. Here we discuss the application of CK
metrics and estimation model to predict the external quality parameters for
optimizing the design process and production process for desired levels of
quality. Estimation of defect-proneness in object-oriented system at design
level is developed using a novel methodology where models of relationship
between CK metrics and defect-proneness index is achieved. A multifunctional
estimation approach captures the correlation between CK metrics and defect
proneness level of software modules.Comment: 5 pages, 1 figur
Classification of Cyberbullying Detection in Social Networking with Audio using Machine Learning Approach
Every day, more people use the internet and social media, which leads to an increase in cyberbullying vulnerabilities. By transmitting, posting, and spreading damaging, false, and bad stuff online, it is taking place. For those impacted, it causes psychological and emotional issues. Therefore, the development of automated tools for cyberbullying identification and prevention is essential. Recent research on identifying cyberbullying has largely focused on text-based analysis. The two most significant media in cases of cyberbullying are text and audio. In this paper, a machine learning model for detecting cyberbullying in two types of social data, namely text and audio is presented. This paper is focused on detecting majors form of Cyberbullying: cyberbullying dataset on Twitter and classify them as containing Cyberbullying or not. This paper used datasets, namely, ‘cyberbullying Dataset’. In this paper, the implementation can be done with machine learning algorithms such as logistic regression, naive bayesian classifier, and support vector machine. Also, these three algorithms were compared and evaluated with performance metrics like accuracy, precision, recall, and f1 score. The main aim is to detecting cyberbullying messages on any type of social media platform
Phenotypic Heterogeneity in Mycobacterial Stringent Response
A common survival strategy of microorganisms subjected to stress involves the
generation of phenotypic heterogeneity in the isogenic microbial population
enabling a subset of the population to survive under stress. In a recent study,
a mycobacterial population of M. smegmatis was shown to develop phenotypic
heterogeneity under nutrient depletion. The observed heterogeneity is in the
form of a bimodal distribution of the expression levels of the Green
Fluorescent Protein (GFP) as reporter with the gfp fused to the promoter of the
rel gene. The stringent response pathway is initiated in the subpopulation with
high rel activity. In the present study, we characterize quantitatively the
single cell promoter activity of the three key genes, namely, mprA, sigE and
rel, in the stringent response pathway with gfp as the reporter. The origin of
bimodality in the GFP distribution lies in two stable expression states, i.e.,
bistability. We develop a theoretical model to study the dynamics of the
stringent response pathway. The model incorporates a recently proposed
mechanism of bistability based on positive feedback and cell growth retardation
due to protein synthesis. Based on flow cytometry data, we establish that the
distribution of GFP levels in the mycobacterial population at any point of time
is a linear superposition of two invariant distributions, one Gaussian and the
other lognormal, with only the coefficients in the linear combination depending
on time. This allows us to use a binning algorithm and determine the time
variation of the mean protein level, the fraction of cells in a subpopulation
and also the coefficient of variation, a measure of gene expression noise. The
results of the theoretical model along with a comprehensive analysis of the
flow cytometry data provide definitive evidence for the coexistence of two
subpopulations with overlapping protein distributions.Comment: 24 pages,8 figures, supplementary information and 5 supplementary

MEDIATOR FOR INTEGRATION TESTING
The subject technology provides a software infrastructure that makes it easy to write integration tests for applications and related back-end processes that utilize services over a network (e.g., web applications, operating systems, mobile applications, browsers, etc.) to, for example, improve automation coverage and prevent certain security issues. A Mediator component provides a mechanism for connecting disparate infrastructures to allow applications and/or devices under test to utilize and communicate with processes that would not normally be available during integration testing
Fostering Productive Thinking Among Elementary School Students Through FIESI Model
Productive thinking is the cognitive ability to plan, reason logically, analyse, synthesize, evaluate, and make decision to reach at the solution of the problem or we can say that it is the ability by which one can refine their creative work with critical thinking to give strength and value to it. It is a way to solve problems creatively. For this research, a model has been developed called as FIESI (Foundation, Ideation, Evaluation, Stabilization and Implication) for fostering productive thinking. Researchers conducted an experiment to foster productive thinking among VIII standard students with the help of this model as elementary level is delimited to standard VIII. Quasi-experimental pre-test post-test control group design was used. Two Kendriya Vidyalayas (Central Schools) were selected purposively for experiment purpose. One section of standard VIII from each school was selected as the sample for the experiment and control groups. Students of both the classes were made equivalent on the basis of a science achievement test. The equivalent groups consist of 26 students each. Researchers taught Science to the experimental group for one academic year (2019-2020) using FIESI model and the control group was taught by their regular teachers. Researchers developed and validated a productivethinking test for data collection. Data were analysed using chi-square. The finding revealed that FIESI model was found significant in fostering productive thinking among standard VIII students

SOME RESULTS ON RICCI SOLITON ON CONTACT METRIC MANIFOLDS
The objective of this paper is to study the nature of Ricci soliton admitting various type of contact metric manifolds such as Kenmostu manifold, LP Sasakian manifold and LCS manifold. In this paper, it is proved that a Kemnotsu Ricci soliton is expanding, whereas the LP-Sasakian Ricci soliton is shrinking. Further, the conditions have been obtained on Ricci soliton to be expanding, shrinking and steady and the results are verified by suitable examples. It is also proved that the possible values of soliton constant is the set of all even integers \ZZ^{2n} and the set of negative integres \ZZ^{-} respectively for Kenmostu Ricci soliton and LP Sasakian Ricci Soliton and if the (LCS) Ricci soliton is expanding then soliton constant lies on the interval and for shrinking it lies on . The Projectively flat cases for the above manifolds are also discussed to be expanding, shrinking and steady. Finally, we study these Ricci solitons admitting Ricci semi-symmetric condition and prove that the soliton constant is an eigen value of metric tensor with respect to associated vector field
