Interprofessional working: perceptions of healthcare professionals in Nepalese hospitals
Interprofessional working (IPW) is an essential part of the health service delivery system. Effective delivery of health services relies on the contribution of healthcare professionals (HCPs) from all groups. The aim of the study is to examine how HCPs collaborate and to assess their perceptions of IPW on healthcare delivery. This study follows a qualitative research approach. It was conducted in three hospitals in Nepal using semi-structured interview schedule. Purposive sampling method was used to select the hospitals and the participants. All together thirty-eight HCPs participated in the research. This study suggests that IPW is an integral part of HCPs’ life and they viewed it as a booster to support them to deliver the optimal and desired health outcomes. HCPs perceived that organisational support and involvement of service users are important for the successful delivery IPW. Verbal means of communication are mostly used during IPW. Nursing and allied health professionals (AHPs) are more critical to the medical professionals because they feel domination and professional isolation from the medical professionals. This study recognises factors that support IPW and also identifies various barriers to IPW in Nepalese hospitals
Revised Coordinates and Proper Motions of the Stars in the Luyten Half-Second Catalogue
We present refined coordinates and proper motion data for the high proper
motion (HPM) stars in the Luyten Half-Second (LHS) catalogue. The positional
uncertainty in the original Luyten catalogue is typically >10" and is often
>30". We have used the digital scans of the Palomar Observatory Sky Survey
(POSS) I and POSS II plates to derive more accurate positions and proper
motions of the objects. Out of the 4470 candidates in the LHS catalogue, 4323
objects were manually re-identified in the POSS I and POSS II scans. A small
fraction of the stars were not found due to the lack of finder charts and
digitized POSS II scans. The uncertainties in the revised positions are
typically ~2", but can be as high as ~8" in a few cases; this is a large
improvement over the original data. Cross-correlation with the Tycho-2 and
Hipparcos catalogues yielded 819 candidates (with m_R < 12). For these brighter
sources, the position and proper motion data have been replaced with the more
accurate Tycho/Hipparcos data. In total, we have revised proper motion
measurements and coordinates for 4040 stars and revised coordinates for 4330
stars, which are presented here.Comment: 108 pages. Accepted for Publication in ApJ Suppl. Some errors caused

Effect of higher salinities on growth and survival of pacific white shrimp, Litopenaeus vannamei (Boone, 1931)
The growth and survival of Litopenaeus vannamei post larvae was measured in controlled different salinities condition 35ppt (T1), 40ppt (T2), 45ppt (T3) and 50ppt (T4) were maintained. Group of Shrimp post larvae (weight 0.032 g ± 0.002) were stocked at a density of 35 nos. /aquarium in above salinity ranges. Animals were fed with commercial feed (35% Crude Protein) @ 5% of body weight four times a day. The results indicate that higher SGR was observed in T2 (1.99±0.08) followed by T1 (1.75±0.07), T3 (1.54±0.06) and T4 (1.49±0.17). Highest survival (100 %) was recorded in T1 followed by T2 (96.42%), T3 (94.99%) and T4 (74.21%). From the results of the present study it could be seen that higher salinity significantly reduced the growth and survival of L. vannamei but will also open study area of physiological adaption of animal at higher saline water in performance of organisms
Pattern and rate of within-field dispersal and bionomics of the cowpea aphid, Aphis craccivora (Aphididae), on selected cowpea cultivars
Comparative field studies were conducted during the rainy and dry seasons at the Mbita Point Field Station of ICIPE in southwestern Kenya, to investigate the pattern and rate of dispersal of Aphis craccivora on aphid-resistant (ICV-12) and aphid-susceptible (ICV-1) cowpea cultivars in relation to key weather factors. The effects of the dispersal trends on crop performance and aphid population dynamics were analysed. Treatments consisted of initial aphid releases at the north, south, west, east and centre of test plots and uninfested controls maintained on plants for 22 days. Parameters recorded included: pattern (direction of spread of aphids) and rate (number of aphid-infested plants at a given time) in test plots; crop growth and yields and associated factors such as incidence of sooty mould and plant mortality, and aphid density and associated factors, including the incidence of natural enemy species, particularly coccinellids. Dispersal was fastest when releases were made in the west, north and centre of plots, and resulted in adveVse effects on ICV-1 growth and yields. Infestations of ICV-12 did not significantly affect crop performance. There was an apparent direct, positive relationship between wind direction and pattern of spread of aphid infestations, but this pattern was more apparent during the rainy season, when wind speeds were higher, than during the dry season. Classification of drugs reviews using W-LRSVM model
Opinion mining provided less opportunity to discuss their experiences about drugs so reviewing about it was difficult. Recent findings show that online reviews and blogs on drugs are important for patients, marketers and industries. Collecting the information for drugs from the website and analyzing is a challenge. A model is designed by proposing an algorithm which crawls information from the web to analyze reviews of drugs. Reviews were crawled for five different drugs using the algorithm. The W-Bayesian Logistic Regression and Support Vector Machine (W-LRSVM) model was trained for different split ratios to obtain the accuracy of 97.46%.
