Meson Structure in Deep Inelastic Scattering
We study the deep inelastic structure functions of mesons within the Nambu
and Jona-Lasinio model. We calculate the valence quark distributions in ,
, and mesons at the low energy model scale, which are evoluted to
the experimental momentum scale in terms of the Altarelli-Parisi equation. The
resulting distribution functions show reasonable agreements with experiment. We
also discuss the semi-inclusive lepton nucleon scattering process with a slow
nucleon in coincidence in the final state, which reveals the off-shell
structure of the pion.Comment: 31 pages with 16 figures as uuencoded postscript files, TMU-NT-940101

Detection of hepatitis B surface antigen subtype adr in an epidemic of papular acrodermatitis of childhood (Gianotti's disease).
Papular acrodermatitis of childhood (PAC) has recently been reported to be associated with hepatitis B surface antigen (HBsAg) subtype ayw. Between September, 1978, and June, 1979, we saw 14 patients with PAC in a small epidemic occurring in Iwakuni City, Japan. HBsAg was detected in sera from all patients. Subtyping of HBsAg in 11 patients showed that 8 had a determinant adr and 3 had no detectable determinant because of low antigen titers. The result suggests that factors other than the specific HBsAg subtype contribute to the development of PAC.</p
Pseudodifferential multi-product representation of the solution operator of a parabolic equation
By using a time slicing procedure, we represent the solution operator of a
second-order parabolic pseudodifferential equation on as an infinite
product of zero-order pseudodifferential operators. A similar representation
formula is proven for parabolic differential equations on a compact Riemannian
manifold. Each operator in the multi-product is given by a simple explicit
Ansatz. The proof is based on an effective use of the Weyl calculus and the
Fefferman-Phong inequality.Comment: Comm. Partial Differential Equations to appear (2009) 28 page
Evi1 is essential for hematopoietic stem cell self-renewal, and its expression marks hematopoietic cells with long-term multilineage repopulating activity
A new mouse in which an IRES-GFP cassette is knocked-in to the Evi1 locus reveals that HSC long-term multilineage repopulating activity specifically segregates with expression of the Evi1 transcription factor
Catalog of locations of microseismic events accompanying the 2006-2007 fluid injection into the Basel Enhanced Geothermal System
Supplement data to Mukuhira et al. "Injection induced seismicity size distribution dependent on shear stress" published in Geophysical Research Letters (https://doi.org/10.1029/2020GL090934)
This dataset contains the catalog of locations of microseismic events occurring in 2006-2007 that accompanied the fluid stimulation at the Basel Enhanced Geothermal System (EGS) site in Basel, Switzerland. The catalog includes event ID, occurrence date and time (trigger time), location, cluster ID and moment magnitude. The 1st row is a header line to explain data and units. The catalog was made using the multiplet analysis method by Asanuma et al., 2008 (Society of Exploration Geophysicists expanded abstract, 2008). For the detail, please see that paper, which is referenced below. Cluster ID 0 means non multiplet event (single event). The Catalog is the result of multiplet analysis performed using the 40-97 Hz frequency band of the waveforms.
