Control of the weakly damped System with the embedded system support
This paper deals with the experimental verification of the importance of embedded systems with an applied MEMS sensor in controlling weakly damped systems. The aim is to suppress actively residual oscillations. The model of a planar physical pendulum with a prismatic joint was chosen for the experiment. The sensor made by MEMS technology, in which three-axis gyroscope and three-axis accelerometer are integrated, has been used for sensing the angle of deflection of the load from the equilibrium position. The simulation model represents the crane arm with a moving carriag
Thallium and its contents in Remata carbonate rocks
The article presents at first the list of thallium own minerals and its isomorphic content in other minerals, especially in Slovakian ore deposits. This trace element was found in numerous dolomite-rock samples from Remata massif near Handlová. An interesting level of Tl content was analyzed in nonsilicified rocks; the highest content of Tl (and Ag) are along the E W line of disturbance. The presence of thallium in some limonitic aggregates in close Kremnica-gold deposit indicate any continuous relation. Some similarities to type gold deposits Carlin ( USA ) are discussed, even if no gold and discrete thallium phases were in Remata determined yet
Wireless (power transfer) transmission of electrical energy (electricity) intended for consumer purposes up to 50 W
This project deals with Power Semiconductor Systems PSS for wireless transmission of electricity to the power of 50~W with regard to the distance and transmission efficiency. We decided to use electromagnetic resonance for electrical energy transmission. For experimental verification, we have wound two coils of identical dimensions. At a given power transmission solutions, we obtain the highest efficiency η = 70% at a distance of 5 cm, where the transmitted power was 48
Simulation of heat transfer and electromagnetic fields of protected microcomputers
The paper presents results of collaboration between Department of mechatronics and electronics at University
of Žilina and VÚVT Engineering a.s. Žilina in area of heat transfer simulations and disturbing electromagnetic radiation
simulations in computer construction. The simulations results were used in development of protected microcomputer
prototypes in frame of applied research at both of workplaces
Protected microcomputers from VÚVT-Engineering
The paper presents properties of new protected microcomputer prototypes that recently developed VÚVTEngineering
a.s. Žilina. The five new prototypes of protected microcomputers and displays provide users with important
protection against radiated information leaking from a computer and suppress unfavorable effects of electromagnetic
radiation on a man. The first part of contribution describes technical parameters of protected microcomputers and displays.
The results of optical characteristics measurement and measurement of electric field radiation from the protected
microcomputers are discussed in the second part of the contribution
The new implementation possibilities for electronic logical devices
This article deals with various technological approaches to realization of electronic logical devices. The accent is given on new possibilities of logic system implementation into single chip microelectronic devices designed on programmable and configurable basis
Analysis of field of temperature of power electronic systems in COMSOL MULTIPHYSICS environment
The paper deals with analysis of temperature field in power electronic devices using COMSOL
MULTIPHYSICS software. It includes relevant problem of designing, specifically a power semiconductor
converter. Till now, there has been one-dimensional interpretation of analysis considering heat transfer by
conduction. Presented method results directly from differential equations of system heat balance, whereby heat
transfer by conduction, flow and radiation is considered. The results can be animated in 3D view which enables
analyzing the space-division switching network in power electronic device
