A construção de objetos-de-discurso

In the light of a socio-cognitive and interactional conception of language, this article presents a discussion on the process of referentiality, seen not as simple “labelling” of the extra mental world entities but as an activity of construction and reconstruction of the objects of discourse. A distinction is made between the processes of activation/introduction and reactivation/maintenance of focus of the objects previously introduced, providing a framework within which anaphoric operations such as encapsulation and rotulation are explained, as well as the so called indirect anaphoras, including the associative ones. The examples were obtained from a corpus of written texts, from literary works as well as from wide circulation papers and magazines (NURC/Brasil).Este artículo propone una reflexión, a la luz de una concepción sociocognitiva e interaccional del lenguaje, sobre las operaciones de referenciación, vista no como un simple ‘etiquetaje’ de entidades del mundo extra-mental, sino como una actividad de construcción y reconstrucción de objetos-de-discurso. Establece, de igual manera, una diferenciación entre los procesos de activación/introducción y de reactivación/ mantenimiento en foco de objetos anteriormente introducidos, marco dentro del cual se trata de explicar operaciones anafóricas como el encapsulamiento y la rotulación, así como las llamadas anáforas indirectas, las asociativas entre ellas. Los ejemplos fueron obtenidos de un corpus de textos escritos, extraídos de obras literarias, así como de periódicos y revistas de gran circulación (NURC/Brasil).À luz de uma concepção sociocognitiva e interacional de linguagem, este artigo propõe-se refletir sobre as operações de referenciação, vista não como simples ‘etiquetagem’ de entidades do mundo extra-mental, mas como atividade de construção e reconstrução de objetos-de-discurso. Procede, também, a uma diferenciação entre os processos de ativação/introdução e de reativação/manutenção em foco de objetos anteriormente introduzidos, estabelecendo um quadro dentro do qual se procura dar conta de operações anafóricas como encapsulamento e rotulação, bem como das chamadas anáforas indiretas, inclusive as anáforas associativas.
