Bulk viscous Zel'dovich fluid model and it's asymptotic behavior
In this paper we have considered a flat FLRW universe with bulk viscous
Zel'dovich as the cosmic component. Being considered the bulk viscosity as per
the Eckart formalism, we have analyzed the evolution of the Hubble parameter
and constrained the model with the Type Ia Supernovae data thus extracting the
constant bulk viscous parameter and present Hubble parameter. Further we have
analyzed the scale factor, equation of state and deceleration parameter. The
model predicts the late time acceleration and is also compatible with the age
of the universe as given by the oldest globular clusters. We have also studied
the phase-space behavior of the model and found that a universe dominated by
bulk viscous Zel'dovich fluid is stable. But on the inclusion of radiation
component in addition to the Zel'dovich fluid, makes the model unstable. Hence,
even though the bulk viscous Zel'dovich fluid dominated universe is a feasible
one, the model as such failed to predict a prior radiation dominated phase.Comment: 14 pages, eight figure
Applied linguistics and the pressing need of the hour
I argue in this paper that Linguistics can ill afford any more not to address the threat posed by burgeoning populist tendencies all over the world, coupled with the alarming spread of fake news and little regard for truth. We, researchers in the area of language, have a duty to intervene in the developing state of affairs with all that we can muster. If that means having to rethink our claims to be doing science and therefore be mere observers of the unfolding scenario lest we should be reneging on our oath to maintain value neutrality at any cost, then so be it.174743752CONSELHO NACIONAL DE DESENVOLVIMENTO CIENTÍFICO E TECNOLÓGICO - CNPQ302981/2014-

Fisheries oceanography – processes, patterns & variability- Winter School on towards Ecosystem Based Management of Marine Fisheries – Building Mass Balance Trophic and Simulation Models
Oceanography is the scientific discipline concerned with all aspects of the world's oceans
and seas, including their physical and chemical properties, their origin and geologic
framework, and the life forms that inhabit the marine environment. Traditionally,
oceanography has been studied under four separate but related branches: physical
oceanography, chemical oceanography, marine geology, and marine ecology. Meteorology
is another subject closely related to oceanography and inseparably linked to the physical
processes of the ocean
Generalized Shifts on Cartesian Products
It is proved that if E, F are infinite dimensional strictly convex Banach spaces totally incomparable in a restricted sense, then the Cartesian product E×F with the sum or sup norm does not admit a forward shift. As a corollary it is deduced that there are no backward or forward shifts on the Cartesian product`p1×`p2,1\u3c p16=p2\u3c∞, with the supremum norm thus settling a problem left open in Rajagopalan and Sundaresan in J.
