Checklist of Gyrinidae, Haliplidae, Noteridae and Dytiscidae of Turkey (Coleoptera: Adephaga)

Ten species and two subspecies are from the family Gyrinidae, 16 species are from the family Haliplidae, three species are from the family Noteridae and 129 species and seven subspecies are from the family Dytiscidae

A study on the fauna of heteroptera of ılgaz mountains (Kastamonu, Çankırı) with a new record for Turkey

Bu araştırma Mayıs 1999 ve Eylül 2000 arasında Ilgaz Dağlarında yürütülmüş olup Heteroptera takımının 16 familyasının (Notonectidae, Gerridae, Veliidae, Miridae, Anthocoridae, Reduviidae, Nabidae, Berytidae, Lygaeidae, Pyrrhocoridae, Stenocephalidae, Coreidae, Alydidae, Rhopalidae, Scutelleridae, Pentatomidae) 73 cinsine dahil 93 tür ve alttür tespit edilmiştir. Belirlenen 93 taksonun 75’i Ilgaz Dağları, Velia (Plesiovelia) saulii Tamanini, 1947 de Türkiye Heteroptera faunası için ilk kez kaydedilmektedir.This research was carried out in the Ilgaz Mountains between May 1999 and September 2000, ninety three Heteroptera species and subspecies belonging to 73 genera of 16 families (Notonectidae, Gerridae, Veliidae, Miridae, Anthocoridae, Reduviidae, Nabidae, Berytidae, Lygaeidae, Pyrrhocoridae, Stenocephalidae, Coreidae, Alydidae, Rhopalidae, Scutelleridae and Pentatomidae) were determined. 75 of 93 taxa are new for the Heteroptera fauna of Ilgaz Mountains. New records and habitat information are given for the species, as well as diagnostic features for separating it from the only other described member of the genus, B. levantinus Balfour-Browne. The discovery of Brownephilus in Turkey marks the first time the lineage has been found since its original description more than seventy years ago
