    Creating an effective web-based e-learning training module

    The topic of education and web-based training in particular in the technical domain has gained wide acceptance as an effective medium for enterprises to deliver learning and training for their employees and customers. Since learning through the web has several didactic challenges to face, companies must choose the adequate learning method to deliver training to their employees. In the case of Bosch Communications Systems, using web-based training for instruction in the field of professional audio engineering, software remains a subject of investigation and constant innovation. The present study aimed to determine which method of web-based training is better to apply for Expert Level learning on the use and configuration of the sound system software SONICUE. To achieve so, the instructional design of the two methods of study, video tutorial and simulation tutorial, were developed based on cognitive theories. Learning outcomes and levels of user experience of both methods were measured and compared. A sample of 31 participants of Bosch Communications Systems, divided into the two tutorial groups, took part in the present research. Results indicated no significant differences in learning outcome; however, the video tutorial received higher levels of preference among participants and was perceived in a more positive manner than the simulation tutorial in terms of practicality, design, features and navigation. The results of this evaluation reflect the importance of incorporating cognitive research based frameworks to improve the learning quality

    In today's fast-paced business environment, customers expect more than just high-quality products or services. They also demand excellent customer support that is both efficient and personalized. With the growth of businesses and the increasing complexity of products and services, providing efficient customer support has become a critical component of any successful business strategy to fulfill customers and user’s expectations. The present study investigates the need for a technical support helpdesk solution within the business unit Industrial Hydraulics of Bosch Rexroth, a global leader in drive and control technology. The primary objective of this thesis is to assess the current state of the support processes, identify areas of weakness, and leverage these insights to optimize and enhance them. The focus will be on finding a way to enhance transparency of customer data. Based on the theory to process optimization, a current state analysis was conducted, and expert interviews were carried out to identify weaknesses and potential solutions for improving customer support. The research question "How can the Industrial Hydraulics Services of Bosch Rexroth deliver more effective and efficient customer support?" is addressed through the findings that a central platform is necessary to handle customer inquiries more efficiently, given the diverse communication channels and varying modes of operation within the business unit. The use of the existing SAP CRM ticketing system Robin is suggested as an efficient solution path, which should be optimized for future use based on the identified optimization approaches. The results underscore the importance of a unified approach to working, which is vital for the success of the business unit, resulting in increased efficiency, quality, collaboration, scalability, and customer orientation

    Kısıtlı olan su kaynakları çerçevesinde ‘Su Yönetimi’ ülkemizde ve Dünya’ da giderek önem kazanmaktadır. Suyun yönetilebilir olması ile kirliliğin önlenmesi, kirlilik kaçınılmaz olduğunda ise atık suyun geri kazanılması mümkündür. Doğal dengenin ve yapısının bozulmasında su kaynaklarına bakış açımız, uygulanan politikalar ve yönetim aksaklıkları yatmaktadır. Ülkemizde atık su yönetimi yasal mevzuatlar ile yürütülmektedir. Demir çelik endüstrisinde atık sular içerdiği yoğun metal ve türevli maddeler nedeniyle bulundukları kentlerin kanalizasyon sistemlerine veya alıcı ortamlara doğrudan verilmez ve arıtım işlemine tabi tutulmaktadır. Uygulanacak arıtım yöntemlerini standartlara göre belirleyerek mevzuatlara uygun bir politika izlemektedir. Bu çalışmada; Türkiye’ de demir çelik endüstrisi atık sularının arıtım uygulama esas ve yöntemlerinin ortaya konulması, mevcut yasal standartlar ile uluslararası uygulamaların karşılaştırılması amaçlanmıştır. Ülkemizde ve diğer ülkelerde demir çelik sanayi atık suları değerlerinin karşılaştırılması sağlanmıştır. Elde edilen sonuçlar doğrultusunda ülkemiz demir çelik sanayisinden çıkan atık suların yönetiminde ki doğru ve varsa yanlışlarının belirlenmesi ve elde edilecek bulguların yeni uygulamalara katkı sağlanması beklenmektedir. Türkiye’ de şu an uygulanan arıtım esasları, mevcut izlenen strateji, yürütülen politika ve bunların uluslararası uygulamalar ile kıyası yapılmıştır. Türkiye arıtma politikasında geçmişten gelerek nasıl bir uyum süreci yaşamıştır, uluslararası standartlara uyum konusunda nasıl adımlar atılarak ilerlemiştir. Bu uyum konusunda şuan hangi aşamada bulunmaktadır. Bütün bu esaslar irdelenerek tez çalışması ulaşmak istediği sonuç ve hedefleri ortaya koymuştur. Öncelikle literatür çalışması ile çalışmada geçecek bilgilerin tanıtımı, açıklamaları, örnekleri anlatılmıştır. Spesifik araştırmalar ile hedeflenen bilgilere ulaşılarak ortaya bulgular konulmuştur. Yapılan karşılaştırma tekniği ile amaçlanan sonuçlar ortaya konulmaya çalışılmıştır. Türkiye ’nin şu an uyguladığı politika ile uluslararası politikalar arasında açığa çıkan mevcut durum farkı ortaya konulmuştur.‘Water Management’ is becoming increasingly important in our country and in the world within the framework of limited water resources. It is possible to prevent pollution with the manageability of water and to recover the waste water when pollution is unavoidable. Our view of water resources in the deterioration of the natural balance and structure, policies and management failures underlie. In our country, waste water management is carried out by legal regulations. In the iron and steel industry, wastewater is not directly supplied to the sewage systems or receiving environments of the cities in which they are located due to the dense metals and derivatives it contains and is subjected to wastewater treatment. By determining the treatment methods to be applied according to the standards, it follows a policy in accordance with the legislation. In this study; Introducing the iron and steel industry in Turkey wastewater treatment principles and methods of application, it is intended to be compared with the current practice of international legal standards. Iron and steel industry wastewater values have been compared in our country and other countries. In line with the results obtained, it is expected to determine the correct and, if any, wrongdoing in the management of wastewater from the iron and steel industry of our country and to contribute to the new applications of the findings to be obtained. The principles of treatment currently applied in Turkey, the current strategy followed, policies and their execution was carried out in comparison with international practices. What kind of adjustment process has Turkey experienced in the treatment policy coming from the past and how steps have been taken to comply with international standards, there are now at what stage in this adaptation. By examining all these principles, the results and objectives of the thesis study are determined. First of all, the definition, explanations and examples of the information to be passed through the literature study are explained. The findings were put forward by reaching the targeted information with specific researches. With the comparison technique, the intended results were tried to be put forward. The current situation difference between Turkey's current policy and international policies has been revealed

    Effects of Different Stress Conditions on Apoptosis, Proteasome Activity and Exosome Cell Death Pathways in Hepatocellular Carcinoma Cells

    In both healthy cells and cancer cells a number of different cellular responses influence the progress of cancer. In this study, we have investigated the effect of stress conditions on human hepatocyte cancer cells. Different concentrations of hydrogen peroxide, quercetin and N-acetyl cysteine were used to induce the acute cell stress. We have detected apoptosis, measured proteasome activity and performed a cell death array in both treated and control cells. Treatment of human hepatocyte cancer cells with hydrogen peroxide and quercetin resulted in decreased cell viability and increased apoptosis. On the other hand, proteasome activity was increased with hydrogen peroxide treatment but decreased with quercetin. N-acetyl cysteine supported cell viability and increased proteasome activity. In conclusion, cell death related genes were affected in quite different manner following hydrogen peroxide, quercetin and N-acetyl cysteine treatments
