Humanistic creative education university student: specificity in the learning of Physics
This article demonstrates some results related to the Project: “Teacher Training in Applied Creativity”
(Interuniversity Cooperation Programme and Scientific Research) (PCI-AECID, 2009-10). Its
fundamental aim is the theoretical and practical contribution of treatment to this issue through the
process of teaching and learning of physics, based on a study in the power physics and
mathematics at the Autonomous University of Nuevo León. It assumes that different sources are
interesting proposals concerning the development of creativity, but most of the address from the
cognitive dimension. Presents the fundamental theoretical bases that underpin the study. Apply
different techniques to check the status of the research object and from the results, are possible

The presence of death in Spanish education law (1812–2006)
The objective of this study is to determine whether death has been present, and if so in what way, in Spanish education law from 1812 to 2006. The presence of 25 terms semantically related to death was analyzed in laws and regulations on school curricula. Death is generally absent as a directly approachable phenomenon within the given period, except in scattered regulations which, as a rule, link death in education to religion. From the beginnings of the democratic period in Spain (1975), socially relevant subjects with indirect but significant relationships with death, such as biodiversity and the Holocaust, appea
Reliability Monitoring Based on Higher-Order Statistics: A Scalable Proposal for the Smart Grid
The increasing development of the smart grid demands reliable monitoring of the power
quality at different levels, introducing more and more measurement points. In this framework,
the advanced metering infrastructure must deal with this large amount of data, storage capabilities,
improving visualization, and introducing customer-oriented interfaces. This work proposes a method
that optimizes the smart grid data, monitoring the real voltage supplied based on higher order
statistics. The method proposes monitoring the network from a scalable point of view and offers
a two-fold perspective based on the duality utility-prosumer as a function of the measurement
time. A global PQ index and 2D graphs are introduced in order to compress the time domain
information and quantify the deviations of the waveform shape by means of three parameters.
Time-scalability allows two extra features: long-term supply reliability and power quality in the
short term. As a case study, the work illustrates a real-life monitoring in a building connection point,
offering 2D diagrams, which show time and space compression capabilities, as well
What do teachers think of death education?
This study sets out to address a gap in research into teachers’ attitudes and opinions toward death education. To meet this objective, two complementary instruments were designed and validated: the Death Education Attitudes Scale-Teachers (DEAS-T), which showed suitable psychometric values, and the Death Education Questionnaire-Teachers (DEQ-T). The sample comprised 683 teachers from a range of schools. The results show moderately positive attitudes toward death education. Variables such as gender, age, type of teacher, and religious beliefs all influenced results. The findings argue in favor of the inclusion of death in education and teacher trainingThis work was supported by the Agencia Estatal de

Intelligent Methods for Characterization of Electrical Power Quality Signals using Higher Order Statistical Features
This paper considers a few important techniques classification for to identify several power quality disturbances. For this purpose, a process
based in HOS has been realized to extract features that help in classification. In this stage the geometrical pattern established via higher-order
statistical measurements is obtained, and this pattern is function of the amplitudes and frequencies of the power quality disturbances associated to the
50-Hz power-line. Once the features are managed will be segmented to form training and test sets and them will be applied in the statistical methods
used to perform automatic classification of PQ disturbances. The best technique of those compared is selected according to correlation and mistake
