pp→A→Zhpp\to A\to Zh and the wrong-sign limit of the Two-Higgs-Doublet Model

We point out the importance of the decay channels $A\to Zh$ and $H\to VV$ in the wrong-sign limit of the Two-Higgs-Doublet Model (2HDM) of type II. They can be the dominant decay modes at moderate values of $\tan\beta$, even if the (pseudo)scalar mass is above the threshold where the decay into a pair of top quarks is kinematically open. Accordingly, large cross sections $pp\to A\to Zh$ and $pp\to H\to VV$ are obtained and currently probed by the LHC experiments, yielding conclusive statements about the remaining parameter space of the wrong-sign limit. In addition, mild excesses - as recently found in the ATLAS analysis $b\bar b \to A\to Zh$ - could be explained. General CPT-even dimension-five nonminimal couplings between fermions and photons yielding EDM and MDM

In this letter, we examine a new class of CPT-even nonminimal interactions, between fermions and photons, deprived of higher order derivatives, that yields electric dipole moment (EDM) and magnetic dipole moment (MDM) in the context of the Dirac equation. The couplings are dimension-five CPT-even and Lorentz-violating nonminimal structures, composed of a rank-2 tensor, $T_{\mu\nu}$, the electromagnetic tensor, and gamma matrices, being addressed in its axial and non-axial Hermitian versions, and also comprising general possibilities. We then use the electron's anomalous magnetic dipole moment and electron electric dipole moment measurements to reach upper bounds of $1$ part in $10^{20}$ and $10^{25}$ (eV )$^{-1}$

How to evaluate the "Bolsa Universidade" Program in Manaus

The research evaluates the satisfaction level of the services provided by the Manaus Municipal Public Service School and Socio-Educational Inclusion (ESPI) to the scholarship holders of the Bolsa Universidade Program. To this end, an online questionnaire adapted from the SERVPERF model was applied, using five quality dimensions: tangible, reliability, effectiveness, assurance and empathy. It has 20 items distributed among the dimensions, where the respondent indicated their level of satisfaction through a 10-point Likert scale. It was available for eight days and had 442 respondents. After data collection, the Cronbach\u27s alpha reliability test was performed. Then, the data were analyzed using the average and standard deviation of dimensions and items. It was observed that the best dimention was reliability, and the item with the best performance was the “reliable documentation management”. On the other hand, the dimension that needs improvement is effectiveness, and the item that needs urgent improvement is “waiting in line for documentation delivery”. After analyzing the data, the main conclusion was that the level of satisfaction was considered Good. In the end, suggestions for improvement were made for the critical items. For future studies, it is suggested to evaluate the level of satisfaction after applying the improvement actions

A economia popular solidária em Belo Horizonte: um estudo exploratório

The aim of the present article is to initiate an explanatory study on the alternative experiences that are developed in Belo Horizonte within the Solidarity Economics context. First, the current crisis of capitalism and the recent changes on the structure of work are discussed, revealing how these conditions stimulate the sprouting of alternative experiences and elucidate the necessity of a new model of development and social inclusion. After that, support programs to this kind of enterprise (developed by the agencies of the Municipal City hall of Belo Horizonte and local organizations) are presented. Surface Roughness Optimization of SAE 1020 and SAE 1045 Turning Process Using Design of Experiments / Otimização da Rugosidade Superficial dos Aços SAE 1020 e SAE 1045 em Processo de Torneamento usando Projeto de Experimentos

This paper presents an investigation of the surface roughness in a turning process of SAE 1020 and SAE 1045 materials in order to suggest experimental models. The main objectives are to predict the surface roughness, to select the optimal cutting parameters, and to analyze the effects of cutting parameters. The study of this work allows to find more efficient methods to assist the Computer Numeric Control (CNC) turning process, optimizing its cutting parameters: cutting speed, feed rate and depth of cut. Factorial design was used for the experiment plan. At work, we investigated the turning conditions for SAE 1020 and 1045 steels with carbide tool. The measured data were analyzed by regression analysis. From the experimental results and regression analysis, this research project suggested the experimental equations, proposed the optimal cutting parameters, and analyzed the effects of cutting parameters on surface roughness
