CODE-MIXING IN LANGUAGE STYLE OF SOUTH JAKARTA COMMUNITY INDONESIA

The purpose of this paper is about to investigate of Code-Mixing appeared in South Jakarta Community while this community having chat each other through social media, WhatsApp and Twitter. The phenomenon of Code-Mixing and Code-Switching in Indonesia became viral in last September. The used of code-mixing helps them to communicate with others, because not all the people can use the language properly. So that, learning about language is really needed. It will increase their vocabularies whether in Bahasa or English. Also, there are few reasons why the community applies the code-mixing in the daily activities. The writer uses the method of qualitative-description research which is done by the writer by getting involved in the community of social media,  having the library and internet research with the relevant sources, and collects the data to be analyzed also describes by explaining the result of the research. The conclusion of the research is by the often using of Code-Mixing, the people indirectly increase their vocabularies. This phenomenon influenced many people to start to apply the Code-Mixin

The Collocation Analysis of Twilight New Moon Novel

Nowadays in globalization era, being able to communicate in a foreign language is of paramount importance due to its role in seeking for jobs and scholarships. Translation, belonging to English for Specific Purposes, is a challenging and interesting skill to be mastered. Because of i ts rel ati ve di f fi cul ti es, it needs serious attention and concentration. The core of translation is a transfer of a message without any words missing, especially the meaning. The translator shall then be careful in replacing the words from Source Language to the Target Language. In translation, some problems appear like the usage of collocation in the novel Twilight New Moon. The author mostly uses collocation in the novel. Meanwhile, the translator translates the novel not only using word by word method, but also modulation method and the context of sentence. The use of collocation in novel makes readers find it easy to understand its meaning and acquire its message

PENGARUH PENGENDALIAN INTERNAL TERHADAP TINGKAT KREDIT MACET DALAM PROSES PEMBIAYAAN SEPEDA MOTOR PT RADANA FINANCE CABANG TANGERANG KOTA, BANTEN

The purpose of this research is to determine the effect of internal control on the level of bad loans and the influence on the level of bad debts the motorcycle in PT Radana Finance branch Tangerang city, Banten. A method of analysis of data used is a questionnaire survey method with Likert scale. Data taken with taking samples obtained from employees at PT Radan Finance branch tangerang city for seven days using the formula slovin by 44 employees. Furthermore, using SPSS v.19 software and statistical formulas to determine the influence of the two variables, namely internal control (x) and loans (y). Ther result showed that there is a very strong influence of internal control (x) with bad credit (y). With Pearson correlation value of 0.884. Then the contribution of internal control variable (x) against non-performing loans (y) of 0,703, or 70.3%, while the remaining 29.7% influenced by other factors not described. And the linear regression equation obtained was Y =75.268-0,548X. In a hypothesis test based on the t-test is concluded Ho is rejected and Ha accepted. Means of internal control variable (x) has a strong influence on the variable sangta loans (y). It was on the show from the value t is greater than t table (9.980> 2021). This means that "There is a very strong influence on the level of internal control in the process of financing bad credit motorcycle PT Radana Finance branch tangerang city, Banten.  Key words: internal controls, the level of bad debt

SPEECH ACTS ANALYZE IN DONALD TRUMP’S SPEECH: TRUMP BANS ALL REFUGEES AND CITIZENS OF 7 MAJORITY MUSLIM COUNTRIES ENTERING U.S

The purpose of this research is to understand and discuss about Speech Acts of the United Stated of America, Donald Trump. The speech will be discussed linguistically by the writer. In analyzing Trump’s speech, the writer will relate it to the speech acts belong to J. L.  Austin, those are: locutionary act, illocutionary act, and perlocutionary act. The analysis that will be elaborated by the writer is about Austin’s types of speech acts contained in Donald Trump’s speech, and then the most and the least types used in Donald Trump’s speech, and also determining does perlocutionary is always exist in every Trump’s utterance. This research is using descriptive qualitative method. In this case, the writer found 10 utterances related to Donald Trump’s speech. In those utterances, there include 10 data of locutionary forces, 10 data of illocutionary forces, but only 2 data that show perlocutionary forces, because not all utterances conduct perlocutionary. Thus, every utterance can be linguistically analyzed, in order to see whether every speech always conduct perlocutionary forces or not

PELATIHAN PENINGKATAN KEMAMPUAN BERBICARA BAHASA INGGRIS MELALUI BERTANYA DAN BERPENDAPAT BAGI PEGAWAI BADAN PERENCANAAN PEMBANGUNAN DAERAH (BAPPEDA) BOGOR JAWA BARAT

Masalah utama dalam belajar Bahasa Inggris adalah kurangnya rasa percaya diri, hal ini tentu saja menghambat penguasaan Bahasa Inggris seseorang. Oleh karena itu, sebagai salah satu Tri Dharma Perguruan Tinggi, pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berbicara Bahasa Inggris melalui materi bertanya dan berpendapat (asking and giving opinion). Metode yang digunakan pada pelatihan ini adalah ceramah, tanya jawab dan diskusi yang diikuti oleh 25 peserta yang merupakan pegawai dari Badan Perencanaan Pembangunan Daerah (BAPPEDA) Bogor Jawa Barat. Dikarenakan masih dalam keadaan pandemi Covid-19 maka pelatihan ini dilaksanakan secara daring yaitu dengan memanfaatkan aplikasi Zoom. Hasil yang diharapkan dari kegiatan ini adalah adanya peningkatan kepercayaan diri dalam berbicara Bahasa Inggris terutama dalam bertanya dan berpendapat. Selain itu, para peserta diharapkan dapat mempraktikan materi yang diberikan dalam kehidupan sehari-hari

Designing a species-specific method, based on analysis of eDNA, for detection of lesser weever fish, and testing it at chosen locations along the coastline of Agder, Southern Norway

Temperature is largely influencing species dispersion, and when the temperature conditions within an area are changing, species populations often respond by moving to other, more suitable areas. Such behavior has often been observed in marine species, because of increased water temperatures in the ocean. Throughout the Northeastern Atlantic Ocean, including the North Sea and Skagerrak, increased water temperatures have been registered over the last three decades, which are likely to have affected the availability of suitable habitats for various fish species, and therefore their local presence. This could explain how the warm water fish species lesser weever, Echiichthys vipera, over the past few years have been registered in Norwegian waters for the first time. The species is mostly known for its painful and venomous stings, while relatively little is known about its life cycle or ecological importance. Studying marine species within their natural environment is generally considered challenging since they are “less visible” than terrestrial species. However, utilization of molecular methods for faster and more precise species detection can ease future research. In this study a species-specific method, based on analysis of environmental DNA (eDNA), has been designed for detection of lesser weever fish. The eDNA was sampled at chosen locations along the Agder coast, and was analysed using real-time PCR with primers and a TaqMan probe designed to amplify only DNA from this species. The analysis results show that lesser weever DNA was successfully detected in four locations despite very low concentrations. This proves that the designed method is good, and that the sensitivity is high. The high sensitivity was also shown using serial dilutions of genomic DNA, while the specificity was ensured through an in-silico PCR, and by testing the primers and probe on the closely related species greater weever. Generally, for the aim of detecting the potential presence of a species in a chosen location, independent on abundance, the impression of this method has a high utility and efficiency

ANALISA PENGGUNAAN NACA 4424 PADA SUDU TURBIN AIR CROSSFLOW TENAGA MIKROHIDRO

Kebutuhan energi listrik semakin meningkat, dengan keadaan geografis di daerah-daerah di Indonesia dapat dimanfaatkan untuk sebuah pembangkit tenaga listrik berskala kecil yang biasa dikenal dengan Pembangkit Listrik Tenaga Mikrohidro (PLTMH). Bentuk turbin yang tepat untuk pembangkit listrik tenaga mikrohidro adalah turbin crossflow. Usaha untuk memenuhi kebutuhan diarahkan menuju kemandirian energy listrik bagi masyarakat melalui tercapainya suatu elektrifikasi bagi masyarakat. Indonesia memiliki potensi sumber daya energy yang ramah lingkungan dan terbarukan. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan instalasi turbin air jenis crossflow dan dilakukan pengukuran terhadap gaya kecepatan dan debit aliran. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode eksperimental dengan rangcangan percobaan berskala lapangan menggunakan satu set peralatan turbin air jenis impuls crossflow. Metode ini di lakukan di Dusun Selorejo, Desa Sidorejo, Kecamatan Ponggok, Kabupaten Blitar Jawa Timur Berdasarkan pokok masalah yang dibahas, maka penulis melakukan studi kasus dalam perancangan turbin crossflow yang terdiri dari perhitungan ukuran turbin crossflow yang terdiri dari perhitungan ukuran turbin crossflow, analisa daya, kecepatan aliran, dan efisiensi pada turbin crossflow dengan cara kerja Aliran air mengalir melalui pintu masuk pipa, dan diatur oleh baling-baling pemacu dan masuk ke putaran kipas turbin. Setelah air melewati putaran kipas turbin, air berada pada putaran kipas yang berlawanan, sehingga memberikan efisiensi tambahan. Akhirnya, air mengalir dari casing baik secara bebas atau melalui tabung dibawah turbin

PELATIHAN PERCAKAPAN BAHASA INGGRIS TENTANG LIKE AND DISLIKE UNTUK ANAK-ANAK PANTI ASUHAN AR-RIDHO DEPOK JAWA BARAT

Community service is the practical implementation of science, technology, art, and culture directly into society aimed at helping a particular community in various activities without expecting anything in return. In 2022, English Language and Literature study program lecturers held an English Conversation Workshop on Like and Dislike of children at Ar-Ridho Orphanage, Depok, West Java. The purpose of this workshop is to improve participants' English skills, especially speaking. Global competition is increasingly fierce demanding the creation of quality human resources, one of which is by having international communication skills, namely using English. A total of 20 participants attended this workshop face-to-face. The methods used are the lecture method and the role-play technique. With the implementation of this workshop, participants are expected to be able to enhance their confidence and motivation to speak and practice the material provided in daily conversations
