    UNDERSTANDING THE MASSIVE ONLINE REVIEWS: A NOVEL REPRESENTATIVE SUBSET EXTRACTION METHOD

    Online review hasalready been recognized as an important sales assistant for consumers to make their purchase decision. However, with the rapid development of electronic commerce,overwhelming informationoverloads and review manipulation make consumers lost in ocean of reviews and face huge cognitive stress. To address this issue, different types of online review have been developed by online marketplaces. Especially, except traditional types of online reviews (positive, neutral and negative), several new types of online review (review with picture and additional review) do not only contain plain text, but also pictures. Consumers could attach additional reviews to the original reviews to further share their experience sometimes later. Few studies have focused on which types of online reviews are able to influence consumersā€™ decisions more efficiently. Especially, research on new types of reviews is still unanswered.Using data from Taobao.com, the biggest electronic marketplace in China,this study conducts an empirical investigation to bridge the gap. Weinvestigatethat whether and howtraditional text reviewsand new types of reviews influence consumersā€™ purchase decision making. The results show that under the context of information overload and review manipulation, traditional reviewsare still influential, but less effective than new types of reviews. Although review with picture and additional review donā€™t show valence directly, they present more reliable references towards product quality and attract consumersā€™ attention more efficiently.And it is more interesting that new types of online review provide an effective channel for consumers to alleviate their dissatisfaction to effect potential consumers purchase decision making. The findings of this study can provide useful implications for researchers by highlighting the roles of different types of online review in consumersā€™ decision making. Also, the empirical investigation in this paper will remind business vendors to focus on online reviews especially new types of online reviews and conduct targeted marketing strategies to increase competitive advantage and improve their sales performance

    Coenzyme Q10 attenuates airway inflammation and oxidative stress in neonatal asthmatic rats

    Purpose: To determine the therapeutic effect of coenzyme Q10 (CoQ10) on ovalbumin (OVA)-provoked asthma in neonatal rats.Methods: Asthma was induced by exposing neonatal rats to OVA. The levels of SOD, CAT, GPx, GSH, MDA and MPO were estimated using standard biochemical kits, while ELISA was used to measure the concentrations of Ig E and Th2 cytokines. Gene expressions were assayed with qRT-PCR, and protein expressions were determined with western blotting.Results: OVA treatment led to increases in levels of BALF inflammatory cells, lipid peroxidation, serum IgE and BALF Th2 cytokines, but it decreased antioxidant levels. Furthermore, the protein expression of NF-ĪŗB and mRNA expression levels of proinflammatory cytokines and inducible nitric oxide synthase (iNOS) were upregulated in the asthmatic rats (p < 0.05). However, coenzyme Q10 supplementation significantly decreased lipid peroxidation, and reduced inflammatory cells and IgE levels, while the antioxidant levels were enhanced (p < 0.05). Moreover, coenzyme Q10 reduced the levels of Th2 cytokines and downregulated the expressions of NF-ĪŗB, TNF-Ī±, IL-6, and iNOS in the neonatal asthmatic rats (p < 0.05).Conclusion: Coenzyme Q10 attenuates airway inflammation and oxidative stress in neonatal asthmatic rats.     A novel 24-slots14-poles fractional-slot concentrated winding topology with low space harmonics for electrical machines

    This paper proposes a novel winding layout for the machines with fractional-slot concentrated windings (FSCW) using a stator shifting concept and non-overlapping windings, with which all the non-working harmonics will be completely cancelled or significantly reduced. First, the basic winding layout with a 24slot 14pole machine to reduce the significant 1st sub-harmonic will be presented for machines with single layer (SL) windings. From this, a novel double layer (DL) winding layout using the stator shifting concept will be introduced. By adopting two SL winding sets with a 105deg mechanical angle shift with respect to each other, it is not necessary to use overlapping windings. With this configuration, the 1st sub-harmonic will be completely cancelled and the parasitic 5th harmonic will be significantly reduced. Hence, the rotor losses, specifically magnet loss will be significantly reduced. Finally, two PM machines with different DL winding layout, viz., conventional 12slot 14pole and 24slot 14pole machine, will be designed and compared to validate the advantages of this winding topology

    Wide input-voltage range boost three-level DC-DC converter with quasi-Z source for fuel cell vehicles

    To solve the problem of the mismatched voltage levels between the dynamic lower voltage of the fuel cell stack and the required constant higher voltage (400V) of the DC link bus of the inverter for fuel cell vehicles, a Boost three-level DC-DC converter with a diode rectification quasi-Z source (BTL-DRqZ) is presented in this paper, based on the conventional flying-capacitor Boost three-level DC-DC converter. The operating principle of a wide range voltage-gain for this topology is discussed according to the effective switching states of the converter and the multi-loop energy communication characteristic of the DRqZ source. The relationship between the quasi-Z source net capacitor voltages, the modulation index and the output voltage, is deduced and then the static and dynamic self-balance principle of the flying-capacitor voltage is presented. Furthermore, a Boost three-level DC-DC converter with a synchronous rectification quasi-Z source (BTL-SRqZ) is additionally proposed to improve the conversion efficiency. Finally, a scale-down 1.2 kW BTL-SRqZ prototype has been created, and the maximum efficiency is improved up to 95.66% by using synchronous rectification. The experimental results validate the feasibility of the proposed topology and the correctness of its operating principles. It is suitable for the fuel cell vehicles

    The Development of Data Science Education in China from the LIS Perspective

    The aim of this paper is to introduce the development of data science in higher education in China, including the policy and educational programs at various levels. We investigated the data science education of five LIS (Library and Information Studies) schools in China, using Fudan Universityā€™s Data Management and Application Masterā€™s Program as an example for more specific information about the curriculum structure, course focus and teaching methods in data science education. The paper further describes the action of promoting data science and data science education in the field of LIS by the China Academic Library Research Data Management Implementation Group
