Soft skills of Czech graduates

Finding a job is easier for people who are better equipped with soft skills, as they are more productive. Therefore, this article deals with the evaluation of soft skills of graduates from Czech public universities. The results show that the same soft skills are required from university graduates as from the population as a whole (only problem solving is more pronounced with them), but the required level of these skills is 42% higher in the case of graduates. Unfortunately, employers perceive the level of graduates' soft skills insufficient as their level is by 16.46 to 31.15% lower than required. A more detailed analysis showed that, in terms of the development of soft skills, Czech universities provide a very homogenous service. Graduates of universities have nearly the same level of soft skills, while they can also identify similar strengths and weaknesses. These findings suggest that Czech universities should pay more attention to the systematic development of soft skills.Web of Science181604

Simulation of PicoBlaze Microcontroller in Eclipse

Tato diplomová práce se zabývá návrhem a tvorbou simulátoru mikroprocesoru PicoBlaze. Cílem práce je vytvoření grafického simulátoru tohoto mikroprocesoru v prostředí Eclipse jako rozšíření existujícího vývojového prostředí VLAM IDE. V práci je uveden podrobný popis simulátoru uCsim, který byl vybrán pro implementaci jádra simulátoru mikroprocesoru PicoBlaze, a dále jsou navržena jeho rozšíření mající za cíl usnadnit použití simulátoru pro automatizované testování. Následně je představen návrh a implementace grafického simulátoru v prostředí Eclipse využívajícího vytvořené jádro simulátoru a jsou diskutovány možnosti rozšíření implementovaného jádra a grafického simulátoru.This thesis deals with the design and implementation of a simulator of PicoBlaze microcontroller. The aim of this thesis is to create a graphical simulator of this microcontroller in Eclipse as an extension of the existing integrated development environment VLAM IDE. The thesis describes in detail the simulator uCsim which was chosen for implementation of PicoBlaze simulator core and introduces its improvements for a better support of automatized testing. The thesis also presents a description of desing and implementation of the graphical simulator in Eclipse which uses the created simulator core and discusses possible improvements of the implemented core and graphical simulator.

Customer Satisfaction Analysis and Proposal for its Improvement

Cílem této diplomové práce je provedení primárního a sekundárního marketingového průzkumu u významné společnosti zabývající se prodejem hudebních nástrojů. Teoretická část práce je zaměřena na vysvětlení problematiky marketingového výzkumu a prostředí obchodní firmy. Praktická část práce se následně zabývá provedením primárního výzkumu zaměřeného na spokojenost zákazníků analyzované společnosti. Kromě primárního výzkumu se praktická část práce věnuje také sekundárního výzkumu, který je zaměřen na srovnání nabízených služeb analyzované společnosti a její konkurence.The aim of the thesis is to undertake primary and secondary market research for a well established company selling musical instruments. The theoretical part of the thesis is focused on explaining the problems of marketing research and business environment of the enterprise. The practical part of the thesis is engaged in the implementation of primary research focused on the analysis of customer´s satisfaction. In addition to primary research, practical part deals with the secondary research, which focuses on the comparison of services offered by analyzed company and its competitors.

Evaluation of strength properties of parts made by rapid prototyping methods

Tato diplomová práce popisuje metody rychlé výroby prototypových součástí. Uvádí jejich přehled, principy, výhody a nevýhody. Dále se pak zabývá aplikací a porovnáním úprav vzorků vyrobených technologií Fused Deposition Modeling. Ke komparaci slouží výsledky ze zkoušek mechanických vlastností a to ze zkoušky tahem a ze zkoušky ohybem.This diploma thesis describes Rapid Prototyping methods. It introduces their overview, principles, advantages and disadvantages. This project also deals with aplication and comparison of modifications of samples made by Fused Deposition Modeling. Findings from tests of mechanical features (pulling test and bending test) are used for comparison.

Actively controlled journal bearing enabling to expand limits of stability

The lecture deals with the stability of the movement of the journal inside the hydrodynamic plain bearings, which limits the operating rotational speed. The purpose of active vibration control using piezoactuators is to increase the limit of the rotor stable rotation speed and control the journal position. Besides theory it will be presented the results of testing the first prototype of this type of the bearings

The Cause of Mechanical Vibration of Palasher Synchronous Motors and its Removal

The paper describes the procedure and the result of the analysis of mechanical vibrations of mining machines at the Palasher mine in the Russian Federation. The cause of these vibrations was the change in the magnitude of the magnetic flux in the air gap. The simulations showed the possibility of eliminating these changes in magnetic flux by injecting suitable voltages into the stator windings. The implementation of this injection is further described by torque variable component feed-direct compensation. Finally, oscillography records are presented before and after injection

Actively Controlled Journal Bearings for Machine Tools

The advantage of journal hydrodynamic bearings is high radial load capacity and operation at high speeds. The disadvantage is the excitation of vibrations, called an oil whirl, after crossing a certain threshold of the rotational speed which depends on the radial bearing clearance, the viscosity of lubricating oil, and the rotor mass. A passive way of how to suppress vibrations consists of adjusting the shape of the bearing bushing. Vibrations can be suppressed using the system of active vibration damping with piezoactuators to move the bearing bushing in two directions. The displacement of the bearing bushing is actuated by two piezoactuators, which respond to the position of the bearing journal relative to the bearing housing. Two stacked linear piezoactuators are used to actuate the location of the bearing bushing. A pair of capacitive sensors senses the position of the journal or shaft. The system of the actively controlled journal bearings is the first functional prototype in the known up to now. It works with a cylindrical bushing which does not require special technology of manufacturing and assembly. This new bearing enables not only to damp vibrations but also serves to maintain the desired bearing journal position with an accuracy of micrometers

Mínění sester o etických aspektech při odběru orgánů u dárců s nebijícím srdcem v České republice

Autoři příspěvku se zaměřili na postoj sester k etickým problémům vyskytujících se při odběrech orgánů u dárců s nebijícím srdcem (NHBD) v intenzivní péči v České republice, které jsou u samotného procesu odběru orgánů přítomny. Kvalitativním výzkumným šetřením zjistili jejich pohled na problematiku NHBD a zmapovali jejich povědomí o legislativních postupech a doporučeních u pacientů zařazených dle Maastrichtských kritérií k odběru orgánů NHBD
