After adoption: Requirements and degrees of support

Aunque la adopción no sea un fenómeno nuevo entre nosotros, el incremento en los últimos años del número de adopciones realizadas en Españaha ido planteando la necesidad de nuevas intervenciones profesionales. Entre ellas, las relacionadas con la respuesta a los problemas que la comunidadadoptiva (familias adoptivas, personas adoptadas, familias de origen) planteacon posterioridad a la formalización de la adopción. En este artículo se analiza el contexto en que se sitúan los servicios post-adopción, se analizan siete áreas que frecuentemente llevan a la búsqueda de ayuda post-adopción, se examinan los distintos niveles de apoyo que se pueden presentar en post-adopción y se reflexiona sobre la eficacia de la respuesta a las necesidades planteadas. La argumentación se ilustra con datos procedentes de investigaciones sobre adopción nacional e internacional.Although not a new phenomenon, last years’ increase in the number ofadoptions carried out in Spain has brought about the need of new professional interventions. Among them, those associated with the response to the problems that the adoption community (adoptive families, adopted persons, birth families) sets forth after adoption legalization. This paper analyzes the context inwhich post-adoption services are situated, seven areas that often bring families to post-adoption services are examined, different levels of support in postadoption services are considered and there is a reflection on the best ways torespond to the expressed needs. Arguments in the paper are illustrated withdata from research on domestic and intercountry adoptions

La celebración de la primera década del Máster en Intervención y Mediación Familiar es una buena oportunidad para analizar la trayectoria del equipo de trabajo que lo puso en marcha y ha estado en el núcleo de su crecimiento y desarrollo. Este artículo analiza el contexto social de cambios en los modelos y necesidades de las familias en que el Máster nació y se ha desarrollado. Repasa también las principales líneas de investigación e intervención desarrolladas por el grupo, así como los retos a los que se enfrenta el trabajo de docencia, intervención e investigación en torno a las temáticas de que se ocupa.Celebrating ten years of the Master in Family Intervention and Mediation provides a good opportunity to analyze the trajectory of the group who started the program and has been at the heart of its changes and progress. This article explores the social context where changes in the models and needs of the families originated and developed. It also examines the main lines of research and intervention put forward by the group members, as well as the challenges faced in the activities of teaching, intervention and research on the topics of interest in the Master program

Costa del Sol occidental: changes, problems and possibilities of a mature tourist territory

During the last 50 years, the urban and infrastructure development derived from tourism exploitation of this territory has become the Costa del Sol into a recognizable entity, made of fragments with different characteristics related to decades of urban research. This development in the Costa del Sol area has become it into an urban laboratory as a result of an economic / speculative optimization process with negative consequences. The colonization of this area would not have been possible without infrastructure assets, which play a key role in internal and external connections, allowing the Costa del Sol to have the versatility to reorganize itself and keep on growing. But this type of development tends to the saturation of the urban system and today the Costa del Sol has become into a mature tourist territory with some problems related to resident mobility, environment and obsolescence.Peer Reviewe
