    This article establishes taxonomy for software testing projects, allowing the development team or testing personnel to identify the tests to which the project must be subjected for validation. The taxonomy is focused on identifying software projects according to their technology. To establish the taxonomy, a development method comprised of 5 phases was applied. The developed taxonomy is comprised of 9 categories and 27 subcategories and was validated by a group of information technology (IT) managers and professionals in the field of IT through the use of a survey. The results obtained from the survey are subjected to the Mann-Whitney U test, which indicates that the taxonomy is validated. The taxonomy can be implemented in development organizations with or without a testing team that provides a classification for technology projects

    Characterization of tests focused on validation of software project

    In this paper, a method is applied to identify and characterize what software testing should be applied to a software project for technological validation. The method was applied to a Web project and resulted in a characterization of the tests to which a project must be subjected to verify its functional and non-functional requirements. The characterization determined which tests should be applied to the project. Furthermore, the results of the characterization define a test plan that presents the validation tests for a specific project, and the problem of applying specific and appropriate tests to the project is thus resolved

    Este volumen acoge la memoria académica de la Cuarta edición del Congreso Internacional de Ciencia, Tecnología e Innovación para la Sociedad, CITIS 2017, desarrollado entre el 29 de noviembre y el 1 de diciembre de 2017 y organizado por la Universidad Politécnica Salesiana (UPS) en su sede de Guayaquil. El Congreso ofreció un espacio para la presentación, difusión e intercambio de importantes investigaciones nacionales e internacionales ante la comunidad universitaria que se dio cita en el encuentro. El uso de herramientas tecnológicas para la gestión de los trabajos de investigación como la plataforma Open Conference Systems y la web de presentación del Congreso http://citis.blog.ups.edu.ec/, hicieron de CITIS 2017 un verdadero referente entre los congresos que se desarrollaron en el país. La preocupación de nuestra Universidad, de presentar espacios que ayuden a generar nuevos y mejores cambios en la dimensión humana y social de nuestro entorno, hace que se persiga en cada edición del evento la presentación de trabajos con calidad creciente en cuanto a su producción científica.     In this paper the trajectory and situation of the industrial sector in Extremadura are analyzed from the eighties to the present, in order to highlight the evolution and relative position in the context of international openness and growth experienced by the Spanish economy at the beginning and in the financial crisis period ending. On the other hand, the opportunities and challenges to increase the importance of the industrial sector in the region and its economic and social development are going to explore. The study is approached from a macroeconomic perspective, through the aggregated output and employment to which various economic indicators of efficiency and productivity are applied by treatment compared between the region and the national context. An analysis of the determinants of economic growth in Extremadura as well as the main features and the trajectory of the industrial sector, constraints and opportunities takes place. The period of analysis includes the years between 1980 and 2008. Data from different accounting homogeneous series of Regional Accounts of Spain published by the National Statistics Institute (INE) and the Mores Database, 2000 base.En este trabajo se analizan la trayectoria y situación del sector industrial extremeño desde los años ochenta a la actualidad, con el propósito de poner de relieve su evolución y posición relativas en los contextos de apertura internacional y de crecimiento experimentado por la economía española al principio y en el de crisis financiera al final del período. Por otro lado, se van a explorar las oportunidades y desafíos a afrontar para incrementar la importancia del sector industrial en la región y en su desarrollo económico y social. El estudio se aborda desde una perspectiva macroeconómica, a través de los agregados producción y empleo a los que se aplican diversos indicadores económicos de eficiencia y productividad, mediante un tratamiento comparado entre la región y el contexto nacional. Se efectúan un análisis de los factores de crecimiento económico en Extremadura, así como de las características principales y de la trayectoria del sector industrial, sus limitaciones y oportunidades. El período de análisis abarca los años comprendidos entre 1980 y 2008. Se utilizan datos procedentes de las distintas series homogéneas contables de la Contabilidad Regional de España publicados por el Instituto Nacional de Estadística (INE) y la Base de Datos Mores, base 2000

    About 70 m3 of gasoline were poured as the result of an intentíonal breakdown of a major pipeline along the Lower Llobregat Valley. The main groundwater aquifer of the Barcelona area was affected by the gasoline that was not held in the thick unsaturated zone. No immediate action was taken since it was assumed that all the leaked gasoline had burned out. After three months some dissolved gasoline was "found in water from supply wells. It seemed that the contaminant plume was expanding towards the main emergency reserve wells. As part of the action undertaken to know the extent oí the problem and to restare the ground and the aquifer, the gasoline plume in the saturated zone was modelled and calibrated with existing data. The model was then used to test the effect of pumping alternatives to try to stop the plume expansion, to clean up the aquifer and to resume normal functioning of affected wells
